there are five peruvian restaurants in the north suburbs andinca'scafe is my favorite although its the furthest away from home. we were in carrollton on business and stopped off for a late lunch.
we started with a peruvian beer (a very nice lager) and the native purple corn juice, whose name i forget, but is a favorite of my wife.
my wife had a very nice roasted chicken, and i had my usual lomito pollo saltado, a nice of grilled chicken with tomatoes, onions, peppers, served over french fries with rice. add in two very good hot sauces on the side and this is an excellent meal.
then we splurged for desert and had a combination of rice pudding and mazamorra morada (purple corn pudding). i thought it good but my wife loved it and finished every bite.
if this wasn't 30 minutes away i would be here many times a month!

not cheap, but very creative. on the latin scale, peruvian food would best be described as a middle-of-the-road fusion, in my opinion. what it lacks in overt originality, inca'scertainly makes up for it with subtle creativity.

a national favorite purple corn, fruit and cinnamon drink was delicious and was the perfect culinary prelude. artistry displayed in preparation, sauces and dressings is what will make you want to come back. my favorite was the yellow pepper cream with a hint of cheese adorning a soft, warm potato for the appetizer. it had a pleasant spice profile that lingered for the perfect amount of time. ceviche was reported as quality and respectably citrused. cilantro rice for my main was simple, but well-executed. first time in a long time i have had fried plantains that were perfect and not fried into a puddle of ooze. same goes for the soft yucca. black bean side was generous and paired well with a homemade pair of hot sauces. salad dressing was a delightful mixture of oil and acidity. i was too full from dinner, but the bites of the desserts i had from my husband and best friend were also great. the tres leches was the best i have had (ignoring the cool whip). the only thing that was not up to expectations was the overdone carne asada.

inca's is not inexpensive, but it is true small business run by a chef that cares deeply about quality cuisine. definitely worth the visit.

wow, yum, double wow yum. i have no words to describe the pleasure i find when eating atinca'scafe. i'm soooooo glad i found this place and will certainly recommend it time after time. the service was great, but the food was just a complete different out of this universe story.

i mean, i love food, but never in my life have i enjoyed a ceviche and just some plain white rice to be sooooooo good. the pisco sour and desserts took me by surprise too as i thought i'd be like something i've had before, but i was wrong, yes...wrong!

top foods to try there

ceviche of any kind
cabrito
seafood of any kind
tres leches cake
inca sampler
lomito saltado

keep up the good work and hope this little place gets the word out to grow to be a well known place because it is worthy of any high cuisine authentic peruvian food recognition. yumm, i'm hungry again.

excellente food and service and affordable!!!!. on the contrary to the comment below me, i was highly referred to this restaurant by friends that enjoy good food among them some americans and peruvians. i visited several places before going toinca'scafe and in factinca'scafe is the best latin restaurant i've been to since i moved to dallas from miami. it is a peruvian restaurant with great environment, the service was top of the line, the drinks were all fresh and deliscious. before heading toinca'scafe i visited their website and it fact it said about the independence day celebration taking place later in the evening, so we made reservations to get there earlier right before dinner.
my recommendations are:
any ceviche or seafood dish
jalea, lomito saltado, incal sampler and plato del caribe...
i also tried their "cabrito" which won a best of dallas award so, hmmm, that's got to be good if the food critics says is the best, the were darn right lol

as far as the pisco sour goes, they sell those suckers like crazy, so i'm not so sure they're as bad as they say since i'm not too familiar with them, but the fact is i see one in almost every table when i go there which is reguarly at lest twice a week for lunch since it's soo cheap and good food.

i'd recommend this to anyone who wants to be adventurous and give this place a shot. you won't regret it. don't take my word or anyone else's. just go and have a good meal and you'll feel glad you gave it a shot.

oh try their caramel cookies or "alphajores" as they call it. they are so good. they kind of melt in your mouth and want you wanting more, so watch out. lol

wow, best peruvian food in tx. i've been throughout the entire state of tx and have tried many restaurants, some good, some not so good and none of the ones i thought that were good can compete against the falvors and freshness ofinca'scafe. so, if you're in the dallas area and want to try great authentic food from peru, you have to try this place. the must have on the menu would be: ceviche, lomito, jalea and the inca sampler, and don't forget to try their "green sauce" dip...ohhhh and if you like music, go there on friday nights for dinner, it gets loud so be ready to experience the culture through their music and food.
