i usually give 4 or 5star to ideal cafe blindly,but today i was little disappointed with the service of ideal cafe so i have given 3 star. my order reached me after something around 1.5 hrs. it was not zomato delivery partner's fault but ideal cafe's fault, i had called the delivery person he said it's been done late by ideals, he was waiting at the counter for 1 hour.foodwas good no doubt but little disappointed cos order was late cos v had guests at home. i had called ideals also they said they will make it soon still it was a little late nly.

packing was really good evenfoodwas so tasty !!

don't expect yourfoodon time and especially if thatfoodyou've ordered are for guests then get ready to be embarassed

thefoodtaste is turning bad over the years.. it's just prepared for the sake.. no taste at all.. feels horrible to pay so much and end up eating shitty food..machine gun was horrible and even gobi manchurian lacked taste... and these were bestsellers... disappointed!!

i had a pretty great dinner at ideals, thefoodwas affordable and delicious. but what shocked me the most was how they treated us when we asked them to pack thefoodwhich was leftover. we had not eaten anything from that plate and instead of wasting it, out of good conscience i had asked them to pack thefoodso that i could take it home.

so they came with two plastic bags and a paper bag and slammmed it on the table. i was confused, only to realise that we had to pack our ownfoodin front of so many people who were havingfoodaround us. this is the first time i saw and experienced this anywhere in india.

it was embarrassing and frustrating to do it in front of other diners and the staff totally ignored our table so that we couldn't ask as to why all of a sudden customers are scrapingfoodinto plastics bags in front of everyone.

if this is how they treat everyone else, soon the good name of ideals will be gone. i hope no other person has to go through this experience.

knowing about how famous ideals is for its ice creams, we decided to try outfoodfrom their cafe - ideal cafe. we ordered the famous mangalore buns, ghee dosa, and sheera for breakfast. on receiving the order, we were really amazed with the quantity offoodreceived.

1. ghee dosa: as the name suggests, this dosa is absolutely filled with ghee, and you can really taste it while eating the dosa. the taste was amazing, and we really enjoyed the dosa. don't think about calories while eating this dosa!
2. sheera: this was a kesari bath (yellow colour in appearance). being someone who doesn't like an overload of sweetness, this sheera had the perfect amount of sweetness.
3. buns: who can visit mangalore and not try the famous buns! it was really delicious, and we were surprised at the size of each bun - it was quite a large size! again, this was not overly sweet, and hence we enjoyed it.

overall: ideals cafe offers really good food, along with good quality and quantity (no comprise on both). and most important, it's also value for money. definitely try thefoodhere!
