one of the best ramen place in bondi and maybe sydney i have tried so far in the last 4 month!! the menu on zomato is a little bit old, i paid for this tonkotsu sth around 13-14 dollers, which is average for ramen. the soup base is fantastic but since tonkotsu is more a creamy one, i got full quick and the broth tasted more and more too salty for me after a while.

what don‘t like was one of the staff she was kinda rude to me when i asked for her recommendation even thought i was the first costumer after they opened!!! this ramen place must be famous since it got crowded quickly!!

if you don‘t care about the service this place is a good one if you are in bondi!!

excellent japanese food is served here!
today we ordered the udon set which includes an udon and a chicken katsu don(pork is also an option) & a salmon don. both dishes were absolutely fantastic.
highly recommend ichi-ban boshi

creamy thick tonkotsu pork ramen is the best here, gyoza was a treat too. if this is your thing, ichi-ban boshi is a must with their reasonable prices. service is brief and dining is swift, don't expect to be here too long on busy days...

ichiban boshi is a solid and decent venue for a quick ramen meal. the bondi junction eatery is located along the pedestrianised pavement near westfield and features an outdoor alfresco area and a cozy indoor.

i ordered my favourite grilled pork ramen. the shio broth is clear and savoury - probably a little too salty for my preference. but the flame-grilled pork slices were delicious (though a little too tough and chewy).

very good tsukemen! the chilled noodles had a springy consistency and the dipping sauces for tsukemen (cha shu with corn) and tan tan tsukemen (spicy pork mince with egg) were both so tasty! the tan tan men (spicy pork mince with egg ramen) was also delicious. staff were friendly despite how busy they were.

the serving sizes are really big for the ramen so you need to come hungry. you can get vegetarian broth. i like the tofu and the very spicy ramen. i also like the green tea latte. i do not like the curry and i'm not a fan of cold soba. service is okay.

the restaurant is busy at lunch time. like the atmosphere, bustling. service is fast. good for a quick meal on a cold winter day. the noodles are so so. the soup for both orders are a bit salty.

yummo!
my friends ordered some ramen dishes but i ordered a cha-han (japanese fried rice) and chicken karage on the side.
was a little annoyed as the menu for the japanese fried rice didn't state it had any sort of meat anywhere in the description or the title but it already had chicken in it!!
nevertheless, the fried rice was absolutely divine, was not drenched in thick oil like your usual local chinese restaurant but this was delicate in flavours, just enough for the palette to register the exotic taste. the rice & vegies were thoroughly cooked through, soft and pleasant to eat!

chicken karate was average with a salivating crisp to the outer layer, lightly drizzled with marinade.

the seating area inside is quite tight though doable in bringing a small group of friends. will definitely return just for this dish :)

my favourite ramen restaurant in sydney so far! the noodles are perfectly cooked and are a bit thick, very tasty. the broth is rich enough to give all the taste to the ramen.

i don't know why, but i knew about this place first from the original branch in cbd but never got to try it because of the long queue. instead, somehow ended up trying this place after a client in bondi by chance. was welcomed in warmly by the staff and given suggestions from the menu.

ordered the chicken katsu don ($10.5)  and really liked the dish in general, with the sauce they added to the rice which was just the right balance. the takoyaki dish of 8 balls ($5), although a little pricey were also delicious, and i remember being incredibly full from the servings after.

definitely a good place to try for some quick and relatively cheap japanese food in bondi! :)

as ichi-ban boshi in the city is my favourite ramen so far in sydney i was excited to find out there was one in bondi junction with outdoor seating. but we were on a mission to find certain components for a hardware project cobalt had to stay at home.

the ordering system here is different. you go and pay at the counter get a number and hopefully find a seat. we ordered the negimiso ramen with the topping of boiled vegetables and gyoza to share.

as always the ramen was awesome, the leek and the vegetable offering a crunchy contrast to the broth and slippery noodles.

my partner enjoy it as well and at this stage ichi-ban boshi is his favourite ramen place.
