huai yang

simple yet delicious is probably the best way to describe it. the first time i dined here i had the huai'an style bbq pork. the noodles were freshly made and had good texture. the broth is tasty but not overpowering (kind of similar to ramen broth but without the high salt content).the za jiang mian is also another good option i'd recommend if soup noodles aren't your thing.

portion sizes are decent and an average person wouldn't leave hungry.

prices are reasonable and on par with the other asian restaurants along dominion rd.

absolute delicious food. friendly stuff with great service. the environment is very cosy. we loved all the dishes we ordered.

good selection of noodles with a variety of vege in the noodles. less oily compared to the typical asian noodles. love it and will definitely be back!!

this place has a very nice ambience, would be great on a date night. the food arrived quite fast, we ordered popcorn chicken and noodles. the fish noodles were great, was very fresh, and didn’t have the “fishy” taste. the popcorn chicken had a nice texture, but was quite spicy, even at the moderate spice level.

very good unique noodle experience. i had the dry noodles which were amazing. very healthy with lots of veg ! and also affordable ❤️

the cha shao noodle soup are delicious, full of tasty veges and thinly sliced pork. it has a very authentic flavour common to eastern china, savoury, and satisfying. i also enjoyed the spicy peanuts which are delicious and a chicken appetiser which was yum. poached free range chicken in a sichuan pepper (fresh green ones at that!) oil and brine, with fresh chillies.

my first impression of this restaurant is the interior, really liked the set up of the restaurant. ordered the bbq pork noodle with soup while my friend got the double cooked pork noodles. noodles and flavor was nice. reminded me of wat tan hor (flat rice noodles with egg gravy). would be keen to try their other dishes too! zomato discount is accepted here ~

noodles were nice. the intestines a bit too thin.

man i had such high expectations coming here. but alas i was disappointed with most of the food that came out.


service was decent, but he kept going missing for long periods of time. i'm assuming he's also a chef at the back? i had to go get the menu my self when i wanted a drink during my meal. i waited what felt like 10 mins to order my drink.

zajiangmian 9/10 flavourful but small portion. asked for it to be a little spicy and dayum i was sweating like michael jackson being grilled about his sleepovers. no complaints here - 100% recommend this dish. the noodles were chewy and fresh.

chaigu noodles - 7/10 didn't deliver on flavour.

peanuts - 8/10 pretty good!

tengjiaoji - 2/10 flavour was good. however only a few bits of meat there. mostly bones. apparently it's supposed to be this way because of how the meat shrinks with the cooking process. it's also made with skinny organic chickens. get this for the taste, not if you expect a chicken breast of meat. and where's the tengjiao peppercorns that is in the picture on the menu, and most other people's photos? we didn't get it. don't know why

over all it's a 5/10
