the food was delicious and service was super fast. for starters we ordered mi zhi hua sheng mi (spicey peanuts), liang ban huang gua (cucumber salad with garlic sauce, and ban hai dai si (seaweed salad). all were really decent size and yummy. for mains we had sauteed double cooked pork with vegetable and huai yang xiao chao and rice. very simple well executed dishes. we will definitely be visiting again.

beautifully clean decor makes you feel at home in this lovely restaurant. and the food is truly authentic and tasty without being greasy or overpowering - really feels like good quality homemade food, made by someone who really cares about food. the noodle soups are definitely a must try with flavourful soup and perfectly cooked hand made noodles. very impressed also with the great service, and very reasonable prices. will definitely be back soon!

nice decor and good service. food was good too, it tasted clean and not as oily as you sometimes find with asian cuisines. prices are affordable too!

amazing fresh and authentic chinese food. i’m a big fan of noodle soups, and this definitely tops the range you can find around auckland. the broth tastes fresh and clean, but has a lovely depth to it and the veges etc that go with it are also super fresh! highly recommend.

i’ve wanted to try this place for some time now but each time the restaurant had been closed so i was so happy it was open last night for dinner. the interior is very soothing, with calm music playing in the background and a beautiful modern cafe style setting.

the menu was simply laid out, highlighted by popular and chefs choice dishes, moderately priced too.

we ordered two noodle dishes from the signature style section, one with bbq pork and one with shredded pork with the seaweed salad as a side dish. the seaweed salad was pretty good but the noodle dishes were quite average, with not much flavour besides salt. nicely presented however but the soup tasted like it’s missing something.

the service was good.

huaiyang is one of the most recent newly open restaurants in dominion road.
i passed by this place before they opened their door, and i thought it would be a cafe because of the decorations of the store. a beautiful cozy sunny house at the corner, i never thought it would be a traditional chinese restaurant!

🍴 the menu is simple and not so big, my friend and me ordered two dishes with rice and a soupy noodles. tbh we didn't have much expectation, but the food here is so good
the soup base for the noodle is full of flavours after brasing for a long time. it's deep and rich on flavours but not greasy at all. as a soup lover i couldn't help taking a sip after another.
teng jiao ji is a very traditional chinese food- chicken with green pepper sauce. instead of just boiled the chicken in water(many restaurants does) and soaked in the sauce, they marinated it first with salt, so you can feel the texture of the chicken is a bit firm, which is very flavorful. they also use the real green peppers instead of buying products from outside

loved their soup noodles--very unique but delicious food. will recommend their bbq pork soup noodles. the shop is cozy, well decorated and staff are friendly. there is a chilled and relaxing ambience.... even on a busy night. great place for kids, families, date nights or a catch up with friends.

zhajiangmian's flavor pretty good, love it.
