very good uniquenoodleexperience. i had the dry noodles which were amazing. very healthy with lots of veg ! and also affordable ❤️

the cha shaonoodlesoup are delicious, full of tasty veges and thinly sliced pork. it has a very authentic flavour common to eastern china, savoury, and satisfying. i also enjoyed the spicy peanuts which are delicious and a chicken appetiser which was yum. poached free range chicken in a sichuan pepper (fresh green ones at that!) oil and brine, with fresh chillies.

my first impression of this restaurant is the interior, really liked the set up of the restaurant. ordered the bbq porknoodlewith soup while my friend got the double cooked pork noodles. noodles and flavor was nice. reminded me of wat tan hor (flat rice noodles with egg gravy). would be keen to try their other dishes too! zomato discount is accepted here ~

beautifully clean decor makes you feel at home in this lovely restaurant. and the food is truly authentic and tasty without being greasy or overpowering - really feels like good quality homemade food, made by someone who really cares about food. thenoodlesoups are definitely a must try with flavourful soup and perfectly cooked hand made noodles. very impressed also with the great service, and very reasonable prices. will definitely be back soon!

amazing fresh and authentic chinese food. i’m a big fan ofnoodlesoups, and this definitely tops the range you can find around auckland. the broth tastes fresh and clean, but has a lovely depth to it and the veges etc that go with it are also super fresh! highly recommend.

i’ve wanted to try this place for some time now but each time the restaurant had been closed so i was so happy it was open last night for dinner. the interior is very soothing, with calm music playing in the background and a beautiful modern cafe style setting.

the menu was simply laid out, highlighted by popular and chefs choice dishes, moderately priced too.

we ordered twonoodledishes from the signature style section, one with bbq pork and one with shredded pork with the seaweed salad as a side dish. the seaweed salad was pretty good but thenoodledishes were quite average, with not much flavour besides salt. nicely presented however but the soup tasted like it’s missing something.

the service was good.

huaiyang is one of the most recent newly open restaurants in dominion road.
i passed by this place before they opened their door, and i thought it would be a cafe because of the decorations of the store. a beautiful cozy sunny house at the corner, i never thought it would be a traditional chinese restaurant!

🍴 the menu is simple and not so big, my friend and me ordered two dishes with rice and a soupy noodles. tbh we didn't have much expectation, but the food here is so good
the soup base for thenoodleis full of flavours after brasing for a long time. it's deep and rich on flavours but not greasy at all. as a soup lover i couldn't help taking a sip after another.
teng jiao ji is a very traditional chinese food- chicken with green pepper sauce. instead of just boiled the chicken in water(many restaurants does) and soaked in the sauce, they marinated it first with salt, so you can feel the texture of the chicken is a bit firm, which is very flavorful. they also use the real green peppers instead of buying products from outside

i have been to huai yang twice in the past month with different friends. the ambience is superb for a girl’s night or date after work. with relaxing music and on point decor, you could chat away with your noodles. “anoodleless ordinary” as imprinted on the menu- they are really quite special. the 12 hour chicken and pork brothnoodlesoup is a must try! i like how there was a lot of vegetables with the noodles too. the only thing is the food is on the greasy side. service is attentive and friendly.

best part though? it's not too salty!

whatever you do, make sure you get the peanuts side dish! spicy peanuts with tiny pieces of sweet beef jerky mixed up. in fact i would be able to just order those and a bowl of rice and walk away happy.

ordered 2 dishes: the double cookednoodleand their signature huaian style bbq soup. the meat was sooo tender and the broth was so rich and creamy!!! service was top notch 10/10 would recommend. bestnoodlehouse!

fresh, high quality chinese food. not too oily. very clean and fancy interior. prompt wait staff and food came out quickly.

had the bbq porknoodlesoup and pork tripe fried noodles. both were fantastic but the signature bbq porknoodlesoup was definitely better. good portions. will definitely be back to try zha jiang mian.

edit: came back and one item of our order was wrong, but they were happy to make it again. the dish looked so good that we opted to keep it, and then they comped half the price of the dish at the register! really good service.

reasonably priced, tasty (recommend the soup noodles) and good portions. bonus points for the classy music for ambience. what's not to love, another greatnoodlespot to add to dominion road. highly recommend
