hoosegow charcoal restaurant

great restaurant. we had dinner tonight at hoosegow as a family of five and loved it.foodwas beautiful and service was good. our kids are 8, 7 and 5 and they really enjoyed themselves. excellent service. would definitely recommend to others. st morris is becoming an area of good restaurants.

fantastic service - the staff here are attentive, friendly and talkative; but not to the point where it's intrusive. 
thefoodhere is pricey - but well worth the price. i'd go so far to say it's one of the best steaks in adelaide (the ms5 rump in medium rare is to die for!).

if i could give this place 100 stars i would do it without hesitation. i went here tonight for my work end of year dinner and was blown away with not only thefoodbut the service, ambiance and overall atmosphere. the menu is not cheap but the quality and presentation of thefoodis worth every dollar spent. all the dishes were excellent but my main meal (wagyu eye fillet with truffle mash, mushroom and asparagus) would easily be one of the best meals i have ever had in my life. the flavours were out of this world and every mouthful was heaven! whoever designed this menu is a genius and the staff cooking it are equality as talented! thanks for a great experience!

greatfoodand service, you get what you pay for. charcoal with delicious flavours, fresh and delicious. worth a visit! will definitely return. loved the vanilla panna cotta! we shared the meat plate, was more than enough for two.

the staff is average and not very attentive and customer feels like they are in a production line. thefoodis tasty but all main meals have to be ordered with sides which then becomes a very expensive exercise. ambiance of the restaurant feels like youre in a big rectangle without atmosphere. been here a few times now and hope they improve.

fantastic service. thefoodwas next level brilliant (the nicest brisket i’ve ever had) and appropriately priced. the dining experience is perfect with just the right amount of light/music. absolutely loved it and can’t recommend high enough.

3.6 is way too low of a rating. thefoodwas absolutely amazing. we got a couple of dishes to share and the top three dishes for all of us (albeit in different orders) were 1. signature chilli chicken 2. empanadas (came with the most beautiful tomato sauce i have ever had) and 3. middle eastern salad. when we were done it looked like the plates were licked clean. the price is a little pricey but we used the entertainment card and it was okay.

thefoodat hoosegow charcoal restaurant was incredible! my husband and i had the beef brisket and the pork belly and they were both cooked to perfection. the interior of the restaurant is open but still feels very intimate and cosy. the service was very impressive, the staff were extremely attentive and knowledgeable and were focused on making our night fantastic. the only slight downside was the pricing was quite a bit higher than your standard restaurant, however it was definitely worth it. we will be dining here again for sure!

thefoodwas alright but was much too pricey for the quality presented. we both ordered pork dishes, i had the pork belly with pineapple and chilli salsa and cassava chips. unfortunately the meat, while certainly tender, had not much of a flavour and relied heavily on the pineapple salsa to give it good flavour. the staff were lovely though. for a good pork belly and pinapple salsa done right go to the propaganda club.

absolute joke! went for valentine's day they had a set menu for $120pp. for this price i expected amazingfoodand service. what we got was embarrassing they had 3 out of 4 dishes to share even though the menu stated the first dish was shared. we also had to wait nearly an hour between 2nd and 3rd course the waitresses seemed too busy standing behind the counter. if we are paying per person we should get our own dishes. they clearly did it to cut on portion size and to save money.foodtasted ok nothing to rave about. entree was dry prawns, second was kingfish seviche i liked but so small, 3rd course was 1 chicken thigh to share between 2 ppl like chicken is expensive and hard to come by, main we got about 1/3 a duck breast each amongst salad and desert was a scoop of ice cream with berries. i left still hungry, very disappointed and ripped off! won't be visiting ever again and recommend others to do the same

the atmosphere is great.
the service is what you expect of a fine dining restaurant.
the price is high but worth the quality.

loved everything about this place! excellent service, staff were cheerful and very welcoming. thefoodwas tasty and beautifully presented. i really enjoyed the barramundi dish. the restaurant on saturday night was full and had a great vibe about it. i would definitely return.

from the moment you walk through the door with the owner and his wife greeting you and your friends/family to the moment you leave this fantastic spot, you are spoilt with a mouth watering selection of foods to suit any palate, your orders are taken quickly, yourfoodis served in a very reasonable time and thefoodis to die for. i have been to hoosegow multiple times and have tried something different every time, thefoodis just great!!! and the service is the best i have ever had.
i would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys greatfoodand fantastic service.

went saturday night with friends for the first time and very impressed. staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. menu was impressive andfoodtasted great. meat melted in your mouth and generous portions. one of the meals was not quite right and was replaced without question. will definitely go back.

my husband and l went to hoosegow for a meal thefoodand service was fabulous it made our night and the service was awesome we finished of with warm apple shots that tasted wicked .the atmosphere and ambience of the place was all a memorable experience highly reccomended.
