find a different place- any place will be better.. driving from mn to az, and stopped in amarillo for the night. triedhoffbrausteak and experienced the worst meal we have experienced in our 47 years together. the wait person brought out our entrées well before we had finished the salad. i had the chicken fried steak which was tough and the batter on it is what normally encases cod in fish and chips. the gravy was mediocre. hard to believe, but i have had much better chicken fried steak in minnesota than in texas. my wife had the smoked sirloin medium ordered medium rare. the steak was medium to well done, was only barely warm and tasted as if it had been cooked well before we arrived and then reheated in a microwave. wait person was rude and extremely unprofessional. we will never again enter ahoffbrausteakhouse.

delicious food, pleasant atmosphere, friendly and timely service. i had a bacon wrapped filet and it was flavorful and cooked to perfection. my house margarita was mixed well and fairly strong. we will definitely dine withhoffbrauagain!

horrible service, don't waste your time. we were toldhoffbrauhad great food but we never had the opportunity to find out for ourselves. we arrived at around 5pm and were seated immediately. there were only 2 other tables occupied when we arrived. two tables were seated at least 5 minutes after we were and they were greeted by a server and had their drink order taken before ours. by the time we got up and walked out, we had been waiting almost 20 minutes with no service. the hostess at the front didn't even attempt to ask if there was a problem as we were leaving, seeing as how she seated us and knew we had only arrived moments before. i had to tell her why we were leaving and she didn't even attempt to appologize.

it had been a while since my last visit tohoffbrauand i was impressed. the bartender was cordial and served up great drinks. the bread was fresh and hot and the fried green tomatoes were outstanding. the sirloin tasted wonderful but was bit overcooked but overall it was a great experience.

great steaks. this is my favorite steak place in town.hoffbraubrings solid steaks every time. if you want a good steak for a reasonable price, this is the place to be.

the bread is also solid.

great food..... my wife and i recently moved to amarillo and wanted to try out a steakhouse we had never been too. so, we triedhoffbrausteaks on our first date night in amarillo......we had a great meal! my steak was cooked just right and my wife loved her shrimp. in addition, the sides were great! the waiter was very efficient and my glass never went empty.....we will definitely be taking friends and family tohoffbrauwhen they come to town to visit us.

ribeye. i had a real steak here for the first time and was pleased! i had always had the smoked sirloin; a friend had told me the steaks were great. i also had the fried green tomatoes and a 1554 beer. i met a woman there that i knew who always goes tohoffbrauwhen she is in amarillo. and i see why: the steak was done perfectly and flavored just right.

i had never had the fried green tomatoes and loved them!
