great dining experience!. i thought thefoodhere was delicious. i had the chicken livers appetizer and the sauce that came with it was amazing. the complimentary bread was clearly homemade. i could have eaten baskets of it. i had the tiger prawns. the sauce was spicy, but good. the service was good, the server was very knowledgeable about the menu. and thefoodcame in a timely manner. the prices are high, but not above what i would expect for that quality of food.

absolutely amazing. fresh as fresh can get, extremely well executed, and the staff was beyond friendly and prompt. i would recommend getting reservations as seats fill up very fast here, and now i know why! thefoodis just wonderful; so flavorful with sides that actually accentuate the main course. we made lunch reservations for our first trip to midway. the dining room was very clean and well maintained. we were seated in a private and comfortable booth. our waitress seemed to know exactly when to show to take our order or refill our drinks without being overbearing or disruptive to our conversations. i ordered the fish tacos. by far one of the best fish taco's i have ever eaten.. and i'm from socal - land of fish taco's. they were dressed perfectly with a unique - i think it was a beet pickled onion? - along with a touch of cabbage and a rockin white sauce. the fish itself was seasoned well, and even had a little hint of heat to it. great combination! my lunch partner ordered the mary burger. i got a bite, and this was truly worth every penny. great burger! we then ordered a desert of caramel goodness. it was perfect to share between two people, and had so many different little flavor stations on the plate, i can't recall which one i liked more. they were all lovely, and went together great! even their iced tea was done well. the sweet tea was not overly crazy sweet like 99.9% of all the other restaurants we've been to. it just had that perfect hint of sweetness. this was our first time to heirloom, and we will be going back again for sure!

i made a reservation to try heirloom after reading a favorable review. i'm so glad i did. what a wonderful and unique dining experience. thefoodwas not only a visual art, everything was perfectly prepared and full of wonderful flavored. i ordered the grouper (which was substituted for sea bass)...it was so melt in your mouth tender and full of amazing flavor. my date order the pork chop, which had a mix of vegetables, squashes, apples. you can't go wrong🍴. i would also assume the menu changes seasonally because i saw a menu online and it was quite different.

excellent evening. a little gem in kentucky.foodexcellent and very fresh, and service was fine. i sometimes wonder why some people find little faults and write silly negative reviews. maybe its the reviewers that are at fault, not a lovely little restaurant like this one

food & service erratic..... it's a crapshoot as to whether thefoodand service will be worth the trip...not worth leaving lexington for!

early lunch. thefoodis always good and compared to most restaurants in midway it is outstanding. wait staff is good by anyone's standard and the atmosphere is pleasant. good place to eat anytime.

went here for my anniversary. absolutely excellent food. service was good,foodwas served slowly (which i prefer), and everything was delicious. i got the carrot soup, crabcake, and apple crisp. it was one of the best meals i've had. totally worth the drive and the bill.

sad surprise. after reading the reviews in urbanspoon i anticipated a treat, albeit an expensive one. what i got
was the expense. for $400 i expect 1) comfortable surroundings 2)exceptionalfood3) exceptional
service 4) panache. the booths were small, the service at best competent, and thefoodquite pretentious
in thought but only a little above average at the consuming end. the heirloom tomatoes with the destroyed
capers set the tone. the brisket appetizer was smoky and smoked. the tenderloin was tenderloin but
was accompanied by sweet potatoes which were charmingly purple. the best part of the panna cotta
desert was the banana flourish and the havel nuts. a saving grace, albeit it another expensive one, was
the presence of jordan cabernet on the wine list. for this kind of money i expected to at least repeat the
experience i had at this restaruant's now departed neighbor, but did not. i will not return here. tp

eat here. my fiance and i eat here as often as possible, havent found a single thing on the menu we dont like. we live in lexington and this place is worth the short drive. fantasticfoodand ambiance!

awesome restaurant in a picturesque little town. thefoodis always delicious and fresh. the waitstaff is always attentive and courteous. a few restaurants in midway have come and gone but this one deserves to stay. excellent wine list as well.

just okay. took the hubby here for his birthday dinner. overall thefoodwas okay, but a tad pricey. i had the duck and the hubby had the halibut. i think the best thing on the menu was their goat cheese grits. they were yummy
probably wouldn't make a trip to eat here again.

just tasty food!. the atmosphere is nice, calming and a bit upscale. but atmosphere is nothing without goodfood- and heirloom has really good food. everything i've tried here has been unique and delicious.

insulting. will never go back. took out of town guests there for lunch and even though thefoodis excellent, that will never trump bad manners,especially in the south. one person in our party asked for salt and was told fine dining establishments did not need salt on the table. we never received any salt and we will never go back. too many other places to "enjoy" a meal. amazing.

probably the bestfoodin the lexington area very good experience. however be ready to spend about 25 for a meal. it is worth the money. i give it a 8 of 10.
