great dining experience!. i thought the food here was delicious. i had the chicken livers appetizer and the sauce that came with it was amazing. the complimentary bread was clearly homemade. i could have eaten baskets of it. i had the tiger prawns. the sauce was spicy, but good. the service was good, the server was very knowledgeable about the menu. and the food came in a timely manner. the prices are high, but not above what i would expect for that quality of food.

absolutely amazing. fresh as fresh can get, extremely well executed, and the staff was beyond friendly and prompt. i would recommend getting reservations as seats fill up very fast here, and now i know why! the food is just wonderful; so flavorful with sides that actually accentuate the main course. we made lunch reservations for our first trip to midway. the dining room was very clean and well maintained. we were seated in a private and comfortable booth. our waitress seemed to know exactly when to show to take our order or refill our drinks without being overbearing or disruptive to our conversations. i ordered the fish tacos. by far one of the best fish taco's i have ever eaten.. and i'm from socal - land of fish taco's. they were dressed perfectly with a unique - i think it was a beet pickled onion? - along with a touch of cabbage and a rockin white sauce. the fish itself was seasoned well, and even had a little hint of heat to it. great combination! my lunch partner ordered the mary burger. i got a bite, and this was truly worth every penny. great burger! we then ordered a desert of caramel goodness. it was perfect to share between two people, and had so many different little flavor stations on the plate, i can't recall which one i liked more. they were all lovely, and went together great! even their iced tea was done well. the sweet tea was not overly crazy sweet like 99.9% of all the other restaurants we've been to. it just had that perfect hint of sweetness. this was our first time to heirloom, and we will be going back again for sure!

best crab cake ever, and the pea angliotto (sp?) was fabulous. i love meeting my friends here. bo is the best - i csn always depend on good bourbon - thanks & thumbs up!

went for our anniversary. amazing meal... husband had shrimp and grits that he said were phenomenal and i had an autumn pork chop with a fall vegetable medley... it was the best pork chop i've ever had. plus they have little rolls they bring to the table... one of them is like a little pretzel and they have a signature sauce to go with it... it's so good! will definitely be back. make sure to have a reservation. pricey but so worth it!

i made a reservation to try heirloom after reading a favorable review. i'm so glad i did. what a wonderful and unique dining experience. the food was not only a visual art, everything was perfectly prepared and full of wonderful flavored. i ordered the grouper (which was substituted for sea bass)...it was so melt in your mouth tender and full of amazing flavor. my date order the pork chop, which had a mix of vegetables, squashes, apples. you can't go wrong🍴. i would also assume the menu changes seasonally because i saw a menu online and it was quite different.

such an interesting and unique restaurant in downtown midway, with a clean and relaxing decor, astute service, quality sweet tea, and a fun experience.

i ordered the mary burger (cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato on a toasted kaiser roll), served with “shoestring” heirloom fries (the owner claims that “mary,” the owner’s grandmother, was known for her burgers, and that johnny unitas, an occasional household guest, would travel from baltimore to hazard just for her burgers). my wife ordered the buttermilk-brined fried chicken (juicy and moist meat, but the chicken could benefit, in my opinion, from stronger seasoning), served with fork-mashed yukon potatoes, sage brown sauce and arugula.

for dessert, i ordered the seasonal homemade ice cream – honey and walnuts – a cleansing taste, which was perfect after a heavier meal. an amazing meal - come check it out!

freaking outstanding. we had the chicken livers an the shrimp & grits.. my wife hates liver but loved it here. must try!!! we will be back

had a very tasteless overpriced hamburger with poor service. on the other hand the fries were excellent.

outstanding! we had a lovely very civilized lunch. warm spinach salad and an italian twist on shrimp and grits. my motherinlaw loved the chicken livers (if you eat that kind of thing. the blueberry dessert was off the charts delicious!

a treasure!. behind an unassuming storefront is a treasure of a restaurant! we had their signature dishes, chicken livers and ravioli in a lemon cream sauce (oh my!) and shrimp and grits. both were memorable. too full for dessert but we'll be back for some of the chef's wonderful creations.

excellent evening. a little gem in kentucky. food excellent and very fresh, and service was fine. i sometimes wonder why some people find little faults and write silly negative reviews. maybe its the reviewers that are at fault, not a lovely little restaurant like this one

food & service erratic..... it's a crapshoot as to whether the food and service will be worth the trip...not worth leaving lexington for!

early lunch. the food is always good and compared to most restaurants in midway it is outstanding. wait staff is good by anyone's standard and the atmosphere is pleasant. good place to eat anytime.
