being from louisiana and new to tallahassee it's been difficult finding food with flavor like we are used to. the manager came and spoke with me before iorderedand was very honest about the food they serve. my family and iorderedmultiple dishes to share and treated it as a buffet sampling multiple items. nothing that we tasted disappointed our taste buds. we left very satisfied. for anyone from cajun country, if you would like a treat order the gumbo but take head don't expect gumbo of course expect more of a bisque. it is very tasty but think bisque not gumbo.

i've been to harry's twice and both times the food has been good. iorderedthe chicken baton rouge and it was very good. the drinks were a little on the weak side but the service and atmosphere were very nice. the wait time can get a bit long but other than that it was a satisfying experience.

you won't get sick.. no one should ever get food poisoning at harry's because the food is very overcooked. iorderedthe sea scallops and heorderedthe trout, both were poorly done. my scallops were like rubber bouncing balls and chewy. his trout was so thin and over-fried that the fish and breading were nearly indistinguishable from one another. the menu offers many overly garliced item such as the smashed potatoes. for the prices it is just not worth it.

has been better. somewhat disappointed this visit. i had the pork tenderloin medallions. the flavor of the sauce over the medallions was very good. however, unlike previous times when i'veorderedthis dish and the pork was cooked perfectly, this time the tenderloin was anything but tender. it was very dry and tough. in fact it had been cooked so long that the edges were crispy!! (i thought the only pork that was supposed to be crispy was bacon and chitlins!) ha.

when the waitress asked how everything was, i politely described my impression of the dish. she said she was sorry about the dish. no one from the kitchen or management ever came out to inquire. our server was very nice and as attentive as she could be but it seemed like she might have been overloaded. she was almost running at times to service her tables. also, it seemed like a long time between the time we placed our order and the time the meal was brought to our table. one thing that hasn't changed is the tea; it's still weak in my opinion (pretty close to the flavor of water with lemon). i asked the server to let me see a glass of tea before iorderedit. when she brought it out it was very light colored and i know would have tasted very weak. (i asked her to bring me water instead)

we will go back in the future. just hope this was just a bad day and not the beginning of a downward trend.

disappointed. my husband and i ate there recently. iorderedthe stuffed shrimp with mashed potatoes and heorderedthe catfish platter. it was around 7 pm and they were out of catfish. so, he got shrimp. in my opinion, his shrimp wasn't anything to brag about. my shrimp dish was okay, but the shrimp did not seem cooked enough. the mashed potatoes were ice cold- did i mention that it took over 45 minutes to get our food? sigh. the manager brought out our food and provided us with dessert on the house. i appreciated the effort, but i wish i could have gone back in time andorderedsomething else or gone somewhere else. my stomach hurt all night. the best things about our night were the kind waitress and the fried green tomatoes. i would return for those.

best meal i've ever had. i had dinner here with a friend since he had a coupon (cheap college students). if you're strapped for cash, don't bother. if you are fortunate enough to be able to afford a bill of $20 per person then go for it. the service was okay, though i would have expected it to be better for such an upscale place. they give you free bread though which was warm and soft, with garlic butter on the side. atmosphere is new orleans/mardi gras themed.

we went on a wednesday andorderedmartinis since they were half off. i'm not a big martini drinker and unfortunately didn't like mine (pomegranate martini). the food is a different story. my friend had an assortment dish with gumbo, jambalaya, and shrimp etoufee called taste of new orleans. it was good, but not as good as mine. iorderedthe pasta mardi gras, a dish with lobster, crabmeat, crawfish, and mushrooms, sauteed in literally the best tasting sauce i've ever had in my entire life. i would choose this as my last meal of my life, no lie.
