harry's seafood bar and grille

ehh.. i got a scallop dish and it tasted awful, like spaghettios..

good n.o. style food. i took my wife here for our 2nd anniversary and we enjoyed our dinner. the tenderloin medallions and redfish royale with crabmeat topping were both very good, although the seafood was a bit too salty. the mashed potatoes were also good, but they do use a lot of garlic if that bothers you. our server taylor was friendly, helpful and prompt. we like the pretty interior, and food came out quickly. some of the entrees are expensive, close to $20 but you can get some that are closer to $15 if you prefer. the only disappointment was the "bananas foster" was just a barely-warm banana cut into slices, served with warm caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream with some cinnamon sprinkled over. not worth $6.50 for something not authentic. skip the dessert and the dinner is impressive.

fish tacos - yum!. had grilled fish tacos with nola rice today at lunch. it was excellent and our server was great.

completely ordinary, high fat, formula food. why anyone would rave about this place is beyond me. good ambiance; nice view. not bad draft beer selection.

surprisingly good food in the heart of downtown tallahassee. it was a little hard to find and there was a long wait, but definitely worth finding and waiting for!

i came to tallahassee for work and found harry's my first night there. it was a tuesday and on tuesday's it's happy hour all day. nice. so i tried the big easy cocktail and it was delish. fried green tomatoes for an appetizer- excellent. the shrimp & scallops for dinner served on grit cakes (awesome) and collard greens (also awesome). topped it off with the seasonal dessert peach cobbler- yummy!

for a midwestern gal, this was some great southern seafood!

first visit to harry's went off without a hitch. fast friendly service at happy hour. i had the catfish pontchartrain and my wife had the stuffed shrimp. my catfish was a lightly breaded small filet that had a great flaky texture. my only gripe is it could have been seasoned a bit more. the collards had a sweet flavor so if you are expecting a bit of tang you are out of luck. the shrimp were large and quite tasty i was told.  all in all a positive experience.

being from louisiana and new to tallahassee it's been difficult finding food with flavor like we are used to. the manager came and spoke with me before i ordered and was very honest about the food they serve. my family and i ordered multiple dishes to share and treated it as a buffet sampling multiple items. nothing that we tasted disappointed our taste buds. we left very satisfied. for anyone from cajun country, if you would like a treat order the gumbo but take head don't expect gumbo of course expect more of a bisque. it is very tasty but think bisque not gumbo.

i've been to harry's twice and both times the food has been good. i ordered the chicken baton rouge and it was very good. the drinks were a little on the weak side but the service and atmosphere were very nice. the wait time can get a bit long but other than that it was a satisfying experience.

harrry's always seems to deliver consistently in two areas. delicious food and really long wait times for food. that is the main reason we can no longer go there for lunch. who has 2 hours for lunch. the salmon with the grit cakes and taso cream sauce has to be hands down one of their best dished. if you haven't had it, do yourself a favor and try it once. you will be hooked.

harry's is right downtown and has a balcony looking west, so it's a great view of fsu, when it's cool enough to go out there. good seafood, and a full bar. a must at least once.

consistently good. we have been lucky enough to catch the bar when we wanted to stay for drinks and food. great service and the foodie as good or better than nola! great for date nights, hanging with buds or showing tallahassee off to family. truly one of the few chains we frequent.

downtown go to place. the atmosphere and outside vibe at andrews is really good, but for good staff, great food and an all around great value, step down the hill to harry's. a recent selection of the parmesan crusted fish sandwich revealed a savory, top shelf sandwich of light white fish (probably tilpia). everything about it was so good, i plan on returning for a whole one, soon. the kitchen delightfully halved ours, so we could again sample the grit cake. for joy, we thought!

at night, the entire place turns into an urban chic crash with some amazing steak, seafood and chicken selections. drinks are always done properly by well trained bartenders and the round shape of the bar makes it very nice to indulge in conversation while sipping.

overall, i have had many great experiences here and found the staff quite accomodating and pleasant! read my reviews, i have no stake in any of these places and spend my own money. no belly aching or false praise, here.

great place to eat!!!. the chicken dishes have been consistently great! i will be going back here again!

you won't get sick.. no one should ever get food poisoning at harry's because the food is very overcooked. i ordered the sea scallops and he ordered the trout, both were poorly done. my scallops were like rubber bouncing balls and chewy. his trout was so thin and over-fried that the fish and breading were nearly indistinguishable from one another. the menu offers many overly garliced item such as the smashed potatoes. for the prices it is just not worth it.
