harry's seafood bar and grille

service was slow, food was cold and seafood didn't taste fresh...i dont recommend it

very lame that they are not listed in open table and don't take reservations. food is ok... tally is just a lame town.

very enjoyable! will return.. very good seafood prep, excellent presentation. loved the seafood fondue - could become an addiction. pricing was much lower than expected, quite a treat. decent portions, nice server even though place was crowded for a friday eve bash. we were offered a bar seat while waiting, had enjoyable conversations and drinks, bartenders are a blast to watch.

was put on hold for fifteen minutes after calling four times, just to say they had closed only minutes before. terrible service when dining in, also.

best bread & butter. i adore harry's and have been visiting for about two years. i have always sat outside, the balcony provides a great sunset view and a relaxing place to unwind with friends. their bread and butter is my favorite anywhere- if i could purchase it for my home i would! also their caesar salads are delicious! i am very picky about caesar's but i love this one and the large portion size is enough of a meal for me. overall, harry's has awesome food, drinks and service- certainly a wonderful place!

came out for the sunset, if you sit on the porch you get a wonderful of both the sunset and the corset clad servers. great drinks specials, including half off tuesdays

sometimes it just hurts. the food was lacking. what did i expect? service was great, drinks were good.

can the food make up for the bad hostessing. the food and drinks are awesome at harry's but the hostess desk sucks... they are a bunch of prima-donna blondies with very little customer service skills. we waited an hour and fifteen minutes to be seated. my husband went back to the desk and the hostess didn't even acknowledge him- she began talking to another hostess about her lipstick. finally another hostess asked if he needed help, then the original hostess turned around.

love this place, the atmosphere, the decor, and especially the food! love the jambalaya, but i always get it with pasta instead of rice! and don't let them try to get you to change the sauce, my friend tried the alternate and it wasn't as good. also the fried green tomatoes are delicious! they always have drink specials, too! was there on fat tuesday and it was a blast!

i don't know what people are talking about. harrys is wonderful.. service is always great and the food is phenominal.. they have amazing drink specials.. monday half price bottle of wine, tuesdays are "fat tuesdays" and all drinks are half price all day long, and wednesdays they have half price martinis. everytime i go to tallahassee i have to stop by harrys. also it doesn't hurt that the bartenders are pretty and friendly too.

good food. not vegetarian friendly, although i had the fried green tomatoes appetizer and it was to die for.

pretty good. the two times i've been have been pretty good. the first time was during lunch on a non-busy day. as a light eater, i loved that they had a small plates menu of house favorites such as the blackened red fish, which was amazing. my second trip was on a busy day and the food was just as great. the service wasn't bad on either occasion. all in all, it's a place i'd go again, and recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to eat in a town full of bars and fast food restaurants.

the service was great and so was the atmosphere. my etouffe was promised to be spicy, but it was not. i was quite dissapointed. the hurricane was awful and didn't even seem good enough to have at least been pre mixed. the appetizer was good and desert was amazing. overall i would go again but order a different main course

i have been to harry's a lot, usually with friends who want to meet in a convenient place downtown. it's a great setting with a nice view and attractive inside. for those reasons i want to like it and have gone there more often than i should have hoping i'd find something redeeming. it's food, particularly the cajun dishes are weak, formulaic with little kick or taste. it's like cajun as done by mcdonald's or walmart. the table service is tolerable but not good. but far less excusable is the practically nonexistent bar service. this has nothing to do with the bartenders, who are friendly and good at their craft. the fault is with management who have hired only enough to keep up with the table service and haven't understood that an extra one or two bartenders for the bar patrons would be more profitable for the establishment. when it opened i hoped it would be like jake's in portland, oregon. no such luck.

great for an evening out with someone special. my boyfriend and i frequent harry's because of it's proximity to where we live. the neighborhood is undoubtedly the better side of tallahassee, and the restaurants in the area convey that. harry's is tops for seafood in a town where most restaurants serve exclusively frozen - harry's is consistently changing up the menu and is always offering fresh seafood entrees. my boyfriend is not a big fan of seafood, but he enjoys the steak and the pork dishes very much. harry's boasts an impressive bar with a wide selection of beer and wine (great whites!) it has a great ambience about it and when we have guests staying with us in tallahassee, this is where we take them to dine!

phenomenal food. great wine. always a great time!
