harold's new york deli

bad info they are very much open!. i just ate there on saturdaygreatbig large sandwich, a classic place to eat and have a fun time.

they know how to do meat right here. the pastrami is my absolute favorite. it's juicy with the best flavor i've ever had, anywhere. i usually get a pastrami and a corned beef and bring the leftovers home for sandwiches the next day. they havegreatpickles on the salad bar. i will say that i don't like their knishes.. they're so large that you loose the nice chewy soft covering and wind up with more of a mashed potato by the time you reach the center. their matzo ball soup is delicious. the cakes and rugelach are to die for. the service is friendly and they always remember you.

great deli, but not for eating solo, and pushing it for a duce. at first glance, prices seem high, but the servings are appropriate to the price. would be an excellent choice for a group of 4 or more where you can share.

they go through a ton of deli, so it's always fresh. what else can you say about a deli? no creative chef here, justgreatjewish style food with huge portions made to share. i stop every time i'm in the area.

if you come for nothing more than a huge slice of cake, it's worth it. the portions are huge, and are all made (and priced) for 2-5 people, so be prepared to split something or go home with 8lbs of meat and bread later. but if you truly love jewish food (and pickle bars!) it's definitely agreatstop.

prison mess hall, rude people. if you enjoy dining in a prison mess hall, you'll love it there. yes, don't get me wrong the food isgreatand the portions are generous and there is a pickle bar. although from the moment you walk in till the moment your done eating, there are constantly waiters and other staff posted up all over the restaurant constantly starring at you and everyone else every other second making sure that no one dares to try and take an extra pickle or a little coleslaw home, god forbid. it was almost creepy, it made me feel as though i was in a prison mess hall constantly being watched by guards. also i found the staff extremely rude and stuck up, i did not appreciate it at all especially after being nothing but respectful. i will never return to harold's and will ensure no one i know goes their either. terrible experience. there's nothing i hate more in this world than rude people.

harold's deli. we've been regulars at harold's for years and just get a kick out of bringing friends there that have no idea of what they're in for. we tell them not to eat and be ready to over indulge themselves. harold's has not ever let us down, ever, and it's just a treat to go there. we lived down the street from harold's for years,but since have moved 35 miles away. we have no problems jumping into our car and making the trip down to edison any chance we get. that should give you some idea of howgreatharold's really is. hopefully , when you go ,you get a chance to meet harold, always smiling and always a pleasure to talk to. don't pass up a oppourtunity to stop and enjoy this experience.

eat long and prosper. too many good things to name one. everything is too big, and i'm glad. bring a group, share, and eat the rest the next day, and the next after that. if you don't like it, who cares! go get your head examined. i try to go off-peak hours as it just gets too crowded sometimes and i hate waiting, but then again, since there's no other place within a reasonable drive that serves the same type of food with the samegreattaste, sometimes i do wait, because it's just that good!

the biggest everything!! they have the best sandwiches and i had agreatexperience there.
