awesome mexican food.servicewas fast and friendly and the food was good and cheap. not a date night place. harsh lighting, but hey, food was great.

disappointed!!. after reading great reviews; my boyfriend and i had dinner at guanajuato. we received terribleservicehaving to ask for water refills, a different seever for drink orders (worst margarita ever!!!!!!), eventually flag a different server for our order, and finally a different waiter for a check. the food was mediocre. i don't have anything to say on that.
best part was the salsa, which was delish!! unfortunately this place had some of the worstservicei've ever experienced and we won't be back.

small dining room, large entrees. dining room is small but seats more diners than expected. the menu has a wide variety of entrées. staff is welcoming andserviceis good. we tried a shrimp, a chicken and a steak dish. each was well-seasoned, hot and plentiful. the rice and beans served with the meals are lackluster but i've never tasted a side of mexican rice & beans in any restaurant that was remarkable. this is definitely in my top three mexican restaurants in milwaukee, and could become my favorite.

awful, awful, awful service!!! absoultely the worstserviceat any restaurant in milwaukee. no salad dressing, had to ask for water twice. guacamole was two spoonfuls and was charged 6.25! slowserviceand the worst dining experience.

tongue!!!. the tongue tacos are so tender and delicious, with tons of fresh cilantro and finely minced onion. theserviceis friendly and quick, and the drinks are cheap! the fish taco is the only miss- tartar sauce?????

i hate to sound like i own the place, but guanajuato blows away any mexican restaurant in milwaukee. the food is so good! everything on the menu is good. usually places like these are hit or miss on some dishes they serve, but not here. the steak tacos are what they are know for... amazing! honestly its hard to recommend what to eat. everything! the chicken quesadillas are awesome, enchiladas, you name it! you have to try your favorite. it's a smaller ma and pa kinda restaurant, so it gets busy quick during lunch and dinner. get there before 6 or you may have to wait a little while. they have the patio open during summer so that helps. it really is one of the secrets of milwaukee that not too many people know about except people in bayview. theserviceis great, friendly! and the prices are cheap... can't go wrong. been going here for a long time.
