great service, decent food. ate here with group of 14 for my birthday on a friday. they don't do reservations on the weekends, but they can do accommodations with a "call ahead". it took about 30 minutes to be seated after the required 10 out of 14 people got there, which i didn't mind at all. loved the bean dip, salsa, and strawberry margarita on the rocks (fruity and strong, yum!). i ordered the lecon asado which came with grilled pork tenderloin, argentinian sausage, plaintain, rice & beans, mashed black beans, and yucca. the pork tenderloin was very dry, semi-bland. definitely enjoyed the sides more. sausage was yummy. nexttimei am sticking to their fajitas and tamales. nice fun atmosphere, decent prices and portions, great quick service (all our orders came in about 10 minutes!) make sure to take advantage of the complimentary valet!

gloria's turns into a salsa/dance club on saturday evenings after dinner.

patrons dance with their drinks so the floor is wet and sometimes you will feel broken glass under your feet. although there are employees mopping and sweeping throughout the night, there are still hazardous wet spots on the floor.

please heed my experience after a fall on the dance floor.

do not any under circumstance let the manager tell you not to fill out an accident/incident form. demand it! get names, first and last of the manager(s) on duty. take his/her picture if necessary. do not leave without any of this!! get names of any and all witnesses!! don't let them talk you out of reviewing video recorded footage of your fall!

i had never been to gloria's before that night nor have i been back. it is a moment intimei regret daily.

i can not vouch for the food there, only the bad dance night.

highlands location. i like the food for the most part and always had good experiences when i lived in dallas but this one sucks in service. there are always servers standing around but no team work. my drinks stay empty for long periods. initial greettimeis always about 5 minutes or so. and i've come here many times because i like the food. everytimethe service sucks. management should be fired or retrained because they have no clue on customer service. ps- the brunch chiliquiles suck too, go to esperanzas in ftw if you want great ones.

review of gloria's restaurant in addison, tx. this is a review on the gloria's restaurant located in addison, tx just in case this get's tagged to other locations. if i could give this restaurant & location no stars, i would. i first went to this location a few years ago to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends. i had checked their website and related links to make sure of dress code and any other important info and nowhere on their website did it say people under 21 yrs were not allowed after 10pm. it did however mention no kids allowed after 10pm as restaurant turns into dance club. we had one girl in our group that was 19 years so i even called the location before leaving to make sure she would be allowed in during thetimethey have dancing. the lady i spoke with told me she would be okay but after driving an hour to this gloria's, we were told by the bouncer and manager they did not allow anyone under 21 yrs. i explained to manager the situation but he would not be considerate or offer any compensation and could only say he was sorry. this was in such poor tast and very poor customer service. fast foward a couple years later, 2 of my friends were strolling around the shopping area where gloria's is in deciding where we should go for dancing. my friend was set on going dancing and i suggested gloria's as i new they turned their restaurant into a dance floor. i figured it had been a few years and hoping things might have changed since. we got past the bouncers and security and paid our 10 dollar cover charge to the lady in atrium. i got the impression she was looking down her nose at us from her body language. i paid with a debit/credit and my friends paid in cash. after having paid we went to the hostess for a table but were told that she could place us on the waiting list but could not gaurantee us a table since kitchen was about to close in about half an hour. i have never been in a restaurant where they did not gaurantee tables unless it was actually at posted closing time, dance floor or not. the lady acted like we should know this and was rude about it. we decided we did not want to stay if we couldn't be quaranteed a table and we had planed to eat first then dance. so, on our way out, i asked for a refund and the lady pushed a 10 dollars bill in my face. i explained to her i had paid with debit/credit and was told she cannot refund to my debit/credit and was why she gave me cash because they would still be charging my debit/credit. again, i have never known an establishment, to refund in any other method than the method of payment you used for that purchase. i have had them ask if they could but never been forced to do so. she didn't even bother to consult a manager when i asked if i could have my debit/credit be refunded instead. *sight* this being said, i will never go to this gloria's restaurant in addison. this was such an unpleasant experience both times with such ungracious and uncourteous staff. the manager indicates he expects their guests to be courteous and respectfull on their website but should also expect the same from their staff.

5 out of 10. food is decent if you like tortillas that came out a lastic bag purchased at the groceries store. chilles rellenos (stuffed pepper) is a cut open bell pepper covering what suppose be inside. 1sttimehere and it may be the last one. to many tex-mex in the area to spend my money and ortimeat this place

the worst customer service!. my friends and i had the worst experience at this location in firewheel. my girlfriends and i were having dinner sitting in the bar area this past weekend. the atmosphere was already loud with the music playing, football game and conversations....well the manager by the name of everardo torres came to our table and rudely told a group of women over 30 to shut up or leave because we were too loud. i have never experienced anything like this, and when we asked to speak with the general manager mariela rodriguez they all hid in the back kitchen and wouldn't come out like chickens after there manager just rudely disrespected us! we tried to contact the owner the next day to let him know how his restaurant is being ran and mariela rodriguez (who barely spoke english) said to send email and hung up! do not waist yourtimeor money going to this restaurant!

excellent south american / mexican food. this is upscale with a midscale price.
everytimei go there i have the salmon in banana leaf. definitely not tex-mex but mexican / south american and if you want upscale without the outrageous price then go here.

it can get crowded so come early.

overpriced, overrated and underwhelming. reservation for 7:00, didn't get seated till almost 9:00 for a party of 15. hostess told us twice that they'd seated someone else because only 12 of the 15 people were there - hence the delay.

two different waiters for the table, one half of the group got their food 30 minutes before everyone else, so they were done eating by thetimethe other half got served - and the food wasn't all that great - after all that waiting.

less than ten minutes after we finished eating the managers were asking us to hurry up and leave so they could seat someone else.

if you're a masochist - you'll love this place. if you actually want a decent night out and good food - you'd do better going to mcdonald's.
