the asian selection was not impressive. the dumpling was soggy and the filling was too salty. the congee consistency was gross, and despite adding soy sauce, chives and fried garlic, it tasted purely of bland soggy rice and water.

one of my favourite restaurants in sydney! maybe because it has an amazing wine list that stocks one of my favourites, or maybe because its gnocchi is cooked to perfection than lightly pan fried and reminds me of my mum's version of the same dish! the interior design is a feature to admire should the coversation run dry as it is quite unique. oh, and they bake their own bread on premises so if you would like to watch them do it, ask for a table near the "bakery"!

totally unimpressive. $44 for this is an outrage. a similar offering at bistro moncur is about a thousand times better. there was so much fat on mine i could only eat about a third. there is no way a restaurant of this standing should have let such a poor cut of meat be served.

pretty unimpressed overall. service not grand, and when you're paying $44 for a scotch fillet you expect something a little out of the ordinary. but the steak was very ordinary, and the serving of bernaise was particularly stingy. this place does not get my vote.

for a more upper-class breakfast than usual, we decided to try the breakfast buffet at glass brasserie. located in the hilton hotel on george street, glass brasserie consistently receives amazing reviews and is ranked as one of the best buffets in sydney. we were therefore incredibly excited to try it and see how it stacked up.

bad service. def not worth for a 1 head restaurant and not value for money.. i had my dinner there with my husband and my husband had booked a table few days in advance. the reception gal had a bit of attitude, she was so rude and raised her voice to correct my husband's accent as if he didn't know english. (how could staff works in a customer service industry do this to customers seriously??)

food was fair. the entree (double baked gruyère soufflé) was cooked perfectly and similar to the one in claire's kitchen.
my hsuband ordered dry-aged rib eye for $66 and i ordered the wagyu cut of the day as the main for $72 and the staff suggested to have it cooked medium and we did follow his suggestion. we couldn't believe the quality ended up even worse than a waygu sandwich u get from westfield, it was very chewy and seems overcooked. we didn't even believe it was really a waygu until the staff confirmed with us again and told us thats because of the cut. after our main, the staff asked as usual how our dinner was and i said the wagyu beef was quite disappointing and the staff seemed didn't know how to react, and got nothing else to say but 'really (full stop)' and left. luckily the dessert had lighten me up by the devine basil ice-cream, vanilla meringue and perfect matching with rhubarb.

considering you're paying a fortune for a classy dinner and you don't really expect a $72 wagyu beef would taste worse than pub steak. it's really the down side of the dinner other than the customer service.

service: 5/10
ambience: 8/10
food: 7/10
value: 6/10

really enjoyed dinner at glass brasserie. oyesters six ways was very interesting. each oyester came with a special dressing and i certainly enjoyed the two i tried. crab omellet was very tasty. five stars for the tuesday special wagyu tenderloin and brisket. four and half for the 300g angus fillet. three stars for the lamb cutlet. side dishes were average. the restaurant is very nicely decorate and definitely worth a try.

the vegan menu was a huge disappointment. there was no love in any of the dishes and it was as if they just put together a last minute vegan menu just for the sake of having options. the food was unbelievably below average, and at the price point it was at, it's just plain ridiculous. the risotto was hardly edible and although i hardly leave food behind, this had to be one of the few times i did. the only thing that saved the meal from being a complete disaster was the chocolate tart. it was also very quiet for a friday night, i think i saw about 3 occupied tables but to be fair we did get there at 6pm.

since it is considered fine dining, i'm guessing quite a few people would go here for a special occasion, but i don't think it would be the best option. unless the menu changes, i will not be back.

i've been here for brekkie. all you can
eat style. it's on level 2 of the hilton hotel sydney.
considerate of the customers there, dresscode should be fine as casual.
but the restaurant is very classy and nice so we dressed up a bit.hehe
most of the customers are staying at the hotel i guess.

there were mini bakery section, yogrut bar and fresh juice bar. i was really enjoyed!!

i've tried most of the food (quite full!!haha) and those were tasty and fresh.
staff were very friendly and i was very comfortable to stay there and enjoying my breakfast.

it was a birthday treat of mine and i decided to try out this place. i arrived there looking at the beautiful decorations and big clear window facing right to the qvb expecting to be seated at a table with a view since i have already made a reservation for it. however, it was quite disappointing that 8 of us were seated in the middle of that hall way. my cousins surprised me with a cake and sadly we were not allowed to light a candle and even have the cake from outside. we had the kingfish 👍🏻 , spicy salmon, pork belly pancake 👍🏻 and beef tartare for entree. the ones with thumbs up are delicious, must try! beef tartare was not as good, many other places serves better beef tartare. steaks for main were cooked to perfection, however the sauce was just alright. i wanted to order the sticky date souffle but they ran out of it, will definetely come back and try the desserts! overall service was not so good. only one of the waitress was helpful, which was the one serving our table and the rest especially the receptions were not friendly at all. despite of all that undesireable service, they complemented me with a plate of selections of small cakes to wish me a happy birthday.

was not impressed with this establishment. service was a bit uptight imo, the waiter repeatedly told us not to order fries because he believed we couldnt finish because we ordered the degustation (i get that hes trying to be "considerate", but dont deny us the choice especially when the customer request it multiple times). the food quality was below average, amuse bouche was very plain. waiter asked for our opinion and we said it was ok, which seemed to astonish him and he repeated his question (why?) to which we ended replying it wasn't that great (it truly wasn't that great, it wasn't bad just not amazing). finish the course and was not full and yes we couldve ordered fries and still be fine. wont recommend.

average.... another double date, another restaurant to try!
the 4 of us dined at glass two fridays ago.
to start with, we ordered the zucchini flowers, duck pate and pork belly. the starters were okay, a bit dissapointing. the zucchini flowers were $8 each and 1 of them wasn't even stuffed properly with goats cheese. the pork belly was nice, but the smallest portion imagineable..

mains: we had the eye fillets, lamb and duck. the lamb and eye fillet was nicely cooked. i had the eye fillet and really really enjoyed it. however the duck was a bit odd and the beetroot made it looked like the whole dish was bleeding and it wasn't very appealing to the eye.

service- could have been better for 1 hat restaurant. i felt sorry for the couple who sat down next to us. the waiter was taking their wine glasses away and accidentally pouring water all over the girl.
