extremely overpriced. avg. food. certainly not special!. been there once. had a 3 course meal. the dessert was mediocre but expensive. thefoodwas pasta and shrimp and some fancy topping, but certainly did not worth 20 dollars. the staff did not care about my party of 6 because they knew they would get the tip. do not waste your time there.

pass. just to start the hostess said "i can seat you, but you have to be out by 8:15 as i have a reservation". we should of walked out at that point. this restaurant was highly recommended by a few people i know and maybe i had high expectations, but everything about this place was underwhelming. the spaghetti was undercooked, the sauce was bland and thefoodwas just a pool value for the money. on the other hand, the service was very good. i don't blame the waiter for the food, but thefoodwasn't good. i wouldn't come back to this restaurant.

dissapointed. first off, would like to say thatfoodwas excellent. manager was horrible. had a party of 8 and wanted to split ticket. manager refused to allow server to do so. after several rude conversations with manager, the server told us that he would spilt ticket regardless of the manager.

very disappointing. i have had many wonderful meals at gino's through the years. we had dinner there last night and were so disappointed. we did have a large table of 12 so were seated in the back room near kitchen. service was terrible... took forever to order and receive our drinks, appetizers, etc. the waiter's first words to us were," there will be no substitutions tonight"... then proceeds to tell us of several items they are out of and it was only 7:15... finally our entrees came out except one at our table had to wait at least 10 minutes for his entree, very awkward bc. we all felt uncomfortable eating before him yet he insisted we begin so ourfoodwould not get cold. as i said earlier, we've enjoyed many fine meals here but have heard of other diner's experiences lately and hoping this does not become a pattern.

mr.. my wife and i went to eat dinner around 8 p.m. wed., jan. 15, 2014. gino's was my wife's favorite restaurant because of thefoodfirst and foremost. we ordered drinks (iced tea & diet coke), and both ordered our meal and when the bread was brought to our table, there was a big, dead spider baked in the bread!!!!! needless to say gino's is now not even close to being on my wife's radar of delicious dining experiences! this is a basic, yet huge failure, and when the basics fall behind, there isn't long until the foundation crumbles.

great service, foodmediocre, and why do they have cafe chairs for fine dining? the italian salad was tasteless and cheese sauce was bland.

haven't been in a while and brought the family for a night out. service was great and atmosphere was good as i remembered.foodwas good, but portions seemed a lot smaller than i remembered on the veal dishes. seemed like kid portions to everyone at the table. friends of ours just went and have been going for years and said the same thing.

good italiano food!. when it comes to italianfoodi am very tickey about how the sauce, or gravey, taste, and the different types of noodles used. this is one of the best italian restaurants i have eaten at in awhile. i love their meat sauce and also their home made salads. their meatballs are cook just right with the right blend of celery, onion, cheese, meat, rosemary, and garlic. their spaghetti is amazingly great. my wife's favorite is the eggplant parmesan. it is great too. i often get this dish with the yummy egg plant, meat, cheese, and tomato slices. also, the veal cutlets are another great dish to try if you want something different. love their bread and whipped butter, and the service and staff are super friendly and nice. prices are also very good for the amount offooda person receives. i enjoy taking friends here that have never eaten at this place. it is a great place for families too. try it out next time your in baton rouge.

events. gino's could charge double what they charge now, and i would still pay it. the fish is the best i have ever had, same for the salad and laurence bread is a must. red sauce is just amazing.

this really isn't the place to throw large extravagant parties or events, but more one off dates or a dimly lit dinner with a few close friends. thefoodis so good, you really do not want to take any attention away from it. they do have a space that can be made in to a private room with an airwall, which can seat about 30ppl. i have heard they will also cater.
