family of 4, only complaint is the table that we chose(our fault) was a little small. otherwise the food was delicious, the service was good, we had a verygoodmeal.

fried goat cheese salad. great restaurant! had the fried goat cheese salad with blueberrties and grapes-simply delicious-light and tasty withgoodvinergerette dressing. clean and classy place-we will go back asap!

the fabulous frankie bones. i took mygoodfriend out to dinner! the service was awesome! we had potato spring rolls and pecan encrusted crab cakes for an app, then we had the pasta and veal it was awesome! i highly reccomend frankie bones!

use yourgoodsense. this agoodrestaurant. perhaps one weakness is a too large menu (always gordon ramsey's comment on such places), which always means more pre-prepared food than any quality venue should keep on hand, meaning you are going to get some inconsistency in quality and efficiency. the bottom line is, ask about the better dishes with the staff, and understand you are never going to get world class steak or prime rib unless you go to a 4 star prime steak house like the sage room $$$$, and fb is not that. the food is authentic nyc spagetti and meatballs which are excellent southern italian style,goodlocal flair with lobster mac, salads are excellent, spagetti squash vegi pasta is my wife's fav meal on the island,fresh bread is good, portions are very good. look for the things that aren't everywhere else, and you are probably picking out their best selections. our favorite thing here is a very fast 15min call-in/pick-up service, as we prefer to eat on our porch looking at the surf with our own bottle of wine and no crowd or seating issues to deal with. the back room should be converted to booths like the front, i agree it's a buzzkill to be seated there with the family style bright lighting and uncomfortable wooden chairs, so get there early enough to get a nice booth in the front side.

so so. the service was wonderful. the bar staff was friendly while we waited for our table, which was too small and cramped. i had the chicken parm and the pasta sauce had no flavor at all. my boyfriend had the pork chops and although they were huge, they were also too fatty. th elobster ravioli, had by anither friend, was overrated. thank goodness for cocktails andgoodservice.
i will give it another try

update 2017: reduced rating to 2.5
our waitress lauren was very attentive. the outdoor dining was pleasant. my husband's pumpkin soup with crème fraîche and pumpkin seeds was good. after that, things went downhill fast and hence my updated rating. my husband's drinks were expensive and watered down. the warm bread was iffy. one serving was gummy, the next was ok. we both ordered one of frankie's favorites - marinated hanger steak with french fries ($19.95). the house salad was so drenched in dressing that it was difficult to finish. the steak hadgoodtexture but no flavor and the portion was small especially since the only accompaniment was french fries. and the fries were awful - fried to a deep brown (almost burnt) but yet soggy like they weren't fresh or maybe microwaved. we spent $73 and left hungry.

dark but cozy atmosphere.goodacoustics. outdoor seating if weather permits. i had the early bird pork schnitzel with an espagnole sauce - very good. my husband had the north carolina trout. he ate every bit. he also ordered a side of ribs which he said were excellent. will come back.

not good. ordered an hot appetizer that was frozen in the middle. we told the waiter and he didn't even take it off the bill. with so manygoodrestaurants in the area, we won't be back to this one.

this place was ok i had the chicken penne and everything was boiled the chicken included the pasta was also very mooshy and it have very little taste. but we did have the hot antipasto and it wasgoodeverything was friend though if you come here i suggest you stick with the apatizers

only went for happy hour which is only a dollar off any drunk. we had the fried tomatoes which weregoodand some other appetizer. friendly staff for the most part and i like the style of the resturant. very nice and prices are higher

good service and food. we had a great time at frankie bones. the food wasgoodfor the price and out server was excellent. the marinated rib eye steak was great for the price.

this restaurant was highly recommended to us so we thought we'd try it. upon entering, service and attention was excellent, however, that changed. my wife ordered unsweetened tea and side salad. i ordered steak and shrimp dinner plate with fries and a coke. the server brought us hard crusted bread, almost too hard to bite off, first strike. then brought us water (should have been unsweetened tea) and a coke, second strike. when the food was brought out they forgot to bring the fries with my order, third strike. for our first visit this was not what i expected at all. fail! on agoodnote, the decor and atmosphere is excellent. very clean.

avoid at dinner rush!. the food is always good, but if you are looking for a leisure dinning experience is best if you avoid the evenings when there is a large crowd. the food maybegoodbut the wait-staff can be the rudest i have ever experienced…including the waiters at the carnegie deli in nyc.
