family of 4, only complaint is the table that we chose(our fault) was a little small. otherwise thefoodwas delicious, the service was good, we had a very good meal.

use your good sense. this a good restaurant. perhaps one weakness is a too large menu (always gordon ramsey's comment on such places), which always means more pre-preparedfoodthan any quality venue should keep on hand, meaning you are going to get some inconsistency in quality and efficiency. the bottom line is, ask about the better dishes with the staff, and understand you are never going to get world class steak or prime rib unless you go to a 4 star prime steak house like the sage room $$$$, and fb is not that. thefoodis authentic nyc spagetti and meatballs which are excellent southern italian style, good local flair with lobster mac, salads are excellent, spagetti squash vegi pasta is my wife's fav meal on the island,fresh bread is good, portions are very good. look for the things that aren't everywhere else, and you are probably picking out their best selections. our favorite thing here is a very fast 15min call-in/pick-up service, as we prefer to eat on our porch looking at the surf with our own bottle of wine and no crowd or seating issues to deal with. the back room should be converted to booths like the front, i agree it's a buzzkill to be seated there with the family style bright lighting and uncomfortable wooden chairs, so get there early enough to get a nice booth in the front side.

we ate here last night. we would totally recommend stopping by this place. the place is very small but totally nostalgic with old hollywood stars photos on the wall. thefoodwas good. i would recommend the vanilla cherry coke (alcohol) and the blood orange margarita. the cannoli for appetizer was recommend by the other 5 people in our party, but it was only one cannoli. the server was very nice.

great service and wonderfulfood! we tried the chicken salad and king of club both were the best we have ever had ! also the soup special , potato leek soup, was delicious. we will return ! looks like a lot of locals go there. would highly recommend.

my wife and spent seven weeks on hh island over the 2016 winter and ate several times at frankie bones.

thefoodwas wonderful but our service every time by carr was tops. he was professional, courteous, prompt, very knowledgeable, and one of the best servers we have every seen.

he is a great asset to the restaurant.

thefoodand atmosphere was great! large menu to choose from. our waitress was not so great. she looked super annoyed, never smiled, and was very short with us.

back again on the same trip. with all the wonderful restaurants on hilton head island, it takes really greatfoodto get me to come back a second time on the same trip! my wife already posted a review for brunch, and let me tell you that their corned beef hash is unbelievable. large bites of whole corned beef, perfectly seasoned and mixed with freshly cooked cubes of potatoes. my plate was also quite good, schnitzel, but honestly i spent brunch staring at the hash. she shared, out of self defense.

turns out that was just the teaser. i had to go back on another day to taste their famous marinated rib-eye. oh my goodness. i cut it in smaller and smaller pieces because i wanted it to last forever. my wife had the thursday special, meatloaf smothered in brown gravy with mushrooms. this time my steak kept my full attention, but i have a friend in town who always goes for the meatloaf on thursday. now i know why. great service. a most enjoyable experience. i have two more days here. wonder if i should go just one more time....

how many thumbs up are you allowed to give?. four words: prime rib, medium rare. that's all you need to know.

however, here's a little more....
service was great, atmosphere was great,foodwas better than great. we had reservations for a party of sixteen and were immediately seated. no one had a single complaint. the wife had the lobster mac 'n' cheese which had easily identifiable chunks of lobster in it (listed as a shelled out 1-1/4 pounder), not shreds like you'll get at some places. i drool every time i think about my prime rib. the only thing that ruined it? going to the crazy crab the next night and getting worsefoodand service for more money plus having to sit outside with no a/c in order to not have to wait over an hour since they don't take reservations.

highly recommended. it can be a challenge to find a restaurant on hhi that is appropriate for a young family without incurring loooong wait times and/or compromising onfoodquality. frankie bones is the answer. the first thing you notice upon entering the restaurant is the old school rat pack theme. very cool. we were greeted by our waitress, adrie, who proved to be quite pleasant and a skilled server. she walked us through the extensive menu. everything sounded delicious (i'd love to go back and try other entrees on this trip), but we settled on the spinach & artichoke dip (tasty!), shrimp scampi, saltimbocca, children's filet, and kids pizzas. everyone loved their meals and left feeling quite full.

this place is a must for visitors to hhi!

this is the place to be. a++. thefoodis great! we got the pasta trifecta and the prime rib. it was all amazing, meat melts in your mouth and the all the pasta is all homemade. i can't say enough about this place. go there.

good service and food. we had a great time at frankie bones. thefoodwas good for the price and out server was excellent. the marinated rib eye steak was great for the price.

best crab cakes i've ever had!
we didn't make rsvp tried our luck by going early (5:30) and were seated right away!! service was a bit slow and our waitress didn't have the best personality, but thefoodwas amazing!!! my crab cake dinner had a beautiful presentation with the most delish whipped sweet potatoes, and everyone inbour party loved their food. go, you won't be disappointed!

far from fine dining but certainly popular. service was great, presentation rudimentary,foodwas adequate at best. will not likely return.

my brother and i took our mom out for her birthday dinner here and we couldn't have chosen a better place for the occasion! the server was energetic, engaging, and just fun and thefoodwas amazing!!! i highly recommend the pork chops and my brother practically licked the bowl of his lobster mac and cheese. the deserts seemed expensive but when the server walked out with it and i saw the size (butterfinger like dessert, wow) i realized i got way more than i could handle as well as paid for.
