what a wonderful place, the food and service were both excellent, our waiter went the extra step to help accommodate for my fussy 7 year old by getting him chicken strips made. the cauliflower soup was a huge hit for us.

this restaurant is absolutely amazing. from their food to the ambience it totally rocks.
service is very good and staff are very attentive. favorite place that we regular visit.

went to 14 yesterday for mother’s day. firstly we were offered complimentary champers upon arrival. mom & i had the meat platter...a carnivores heaven (as mom & i are). it was absolutely divine! our waiter(jackson) and rest of the staff were very warm & helpful. great touch with the gift of a bottle of wine for the moms after the meal. great place,food and ambiance. 👌🏽❤️

the food was very good, the waiters were great but the management staff were unfriendly, arrogant and unpleasant...pity about them! one of our guests got a basically empty chicken pie underneath the pasty and when he politely queried it he was met with an off putting person and attitude.

we just stopped in for drinks from salsa next door and found an extremely stylish and vibey bar. loads of bar space with extremely friendly , fast and efficient service. most comforting was the lounge space to relax and enjoy drinks.
music definitely keeps one in the party mood.

we were a large party of 32 and i accept that presents challenges. however, the service was terrible and it took nearly 2 hours to get our main courses. would not have been so bad if the manager had kept to his promise to have the food within 5 mins - took 35 mins. in addition, i had to follow up because members of our party were left without food.
the quality of the food is good but overpriced, in my opinion. r175 for 2 pieces of oxtail is over the top

fourteen on chartwell is a great little restaurant in umhlanga. the place has an excellent vibe and amazing service from the staff. i tried the lobster mac n cheese and it was excellent though i wished there was more lobster for the price. the gin and tonics are great with unusual flavours. a bit pricey but definitely worth a visit for a night out. will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

50 minutes to get food, poorly made espresso. food was cold on arrival. staff were friendly enough. clearly management are not looking after business.

this is my absolute fav spot, on a weekend. the atmosphere is always just right for me and my friends. the food is so tasty, i love their creamy chicken curry.

a group of us came here around 7pm on a friday. the staff were friendly and the food was delicious and affordable. i did find that it was extremely loud, making it difficult to have a conversation with others at our table.

if you’re looking for a place for fine-dining with a localized twist & an amazing culinary experience then 14 on chartwell should definitely be ticked off on your bucket list. they are situated on chartwell drive, umhlanga, durban, south africa. 14 on chartwell is situated on the bustling road of chartwell, whereby a lot of day & night activity take place. this restaurant isn’t one to miss, with their retro modern look, large open windows & an ever so inviting entrance.

food was average. not much options on their menu. restaurant is more of a bar vibe to have drinks. cocktails are amazing, pomegranate gin & tonic is a must try! very noisy and busy restaurant so be sure to make a booking.

a thoroughly enjoyable meal. the waiter was wonderful and witty, the food was delicious and the cocktails were of an excellent standard . a delicious, well priced meal.

been here a few times and we are never disappointed. everyone at our table had the fish and chips. food was delicious. stunning atmosphere and friendly service. a definite must try!

was wondering what type of person would give this restaurant a 4/5 star rating
1. noisy as hell with very little ambiance
2. food seasoned with as much sauces as possible but no real flavors
3. tryin-to-hard kinda menu but no true signatures

having said that, waiters really attentive and made sure that i always had a drink at hand.

área had a lot more to offer than this mediocre food kinda place.
