best. i had a wonderful experience. i went there on the 14th this month to go celebrate my sisters birthday. i'm a vegetarian, so i didn't see much options but i was craving for pasta. so i asked my watron what i could have beside the veggie burger. he went and asked the chef to make something for me. my pasta came. ahhhhhh it was the best. best i've ever had. there were delicious veggies even sweetpotates. it was devine. overall, best of the best place.

this is a 4.5 restaurant, elegantly designed, with the 360 style bar being the focal point in the centre.

the menu has light meals, grills, seafood something for everyone. skipped starters as we were served warm bread with butter and wors chutney which was yum. ordered 4 of their signature dishes, lamb shank pie, fillet florentine, butter chicked curryand grilled prawns. all meals were well plated, generous in portions and sides and equally delicious. the stand out has to be the lamb shank pie, the flavours on the red wine jus was exceptional together with tender lamb, crispy pastry and veggies.

service was excellent, our waiter knowledgeable on the menu and attentive. a fabulous dinner indeed.

great food and amazing, attentive and helpful staff. i’ve been here on a few occasions and service is always great, no matter how busy. a thumbs for lovely service.

the moment i walked into the restaurant i knew that i would love it.

the restaurant is beautiful. the light feature is probably the first point i noticed and loved. since we were out for dinner the lights really set the tone for the evening. it was a could night but the restaurant was pleasantly warm, we were seated at the back so perhaps the warmth was caused by being near the kitchen. there was music playing at a comfortable volume but as the night grew older it became louder- that is the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars. it was too loud. uncomfortably so.

the food. lovely presentation. warm all round. delivered to our tables after the perfect wait. we were served complimentary bread with a sausage side while we waited. the bread seemed freshly made. most of us ordered starters. i had a tasted of the wings and the pairing with the sauce. i jad ordered calamari which was accompanied by a jam dip which i did not fancy. i also stole a taste of the chicken livers which were magic. done so right! later on in the even i tasted the leftover steak was also done just right. we all enjoyed our drinks.

the staff. what a vibe. nothing beats being served by a happy staff. a shout out to the owners who seem to be treating their waiters well. ayanda was our waiter and he was a pleasure. i did notice though that there were no waitresses 👀

i most certainly will be returning.

delicious food and beautiful setting!!! we shared a platter with ribs, lamb cutlets, calamari, pork belly, chicken wings and chips, the ribs were definitely my favourite!

day out with family to celebrate father's day was expecting more but food was a let down.starting from the big bbq burger ..very dry
i ordered a lamb curry ..very blant and my husband had to settle for a t-bone steak after the rib eye medium he ordered was out of stock.tbone steak ended up being rubbery and well cooked.all ambience 7/10

i had the peri peri chicken and was not impressed. it wasn’t mind blowing, very average for the price. the vibe was awesome and service was good.

upon arrival at noon on a fridayi found this establishment to be quiet packed and really noisy. for this reason we decided to dine on their deck outside the restaurant. apart from the noise i really enjoyed both the service and food. the lamb shank pot pie is a must try.

most delicious gnocchi i’ve had in a while! awesome vibe and interesting cocktails to choose from! highly recommended!
oh and let’s not forget eh spiked milkshake

definitely the best place to be at the village umhlanga!!! ambiance a tick....we were here till late. drinks and food also a tick...esp. their crispy chicken wings!!!

always the best young and vibey atmosphere you’re looking for on a a weekend. been there many times now , including their day of the dead halloween party- stunning! the food is also very well made and service is just brilliant. always really busy so bookings are essential, but if you’re okay with a seat at their beautiful bar it’s also worth it. give the cocktails a try, you won’t be disappointed.

great vibe for drinks and a catch up. busy and fun. sit on the pavement, at the bar or lounge area. good and friendly service. we didn’t eat there.

great spot for meeting up with friends. hip and trendy, great wines and cocktails. i always pop in when in durban. prawn pasta def one of my favorites. the jalapeño watermelon margarita is a must try!

fourteen on chartwell is a great location. right on the umhlanga strip, it's a great place to meet up with mates. the food is a bit pricey and can take a while but it is good. try the pie or the butter chicken curry. both are very good.
