really nice lunch spot by the water.greatviews. prices are a little bit high but that's par for the location. lots of seafood options and apparently the fish and chips is delicious! i got the salmon wrap with yam fries and the beer special for the day. service was quick too which was awesome.

notgreatvalue for money. i ordered $17 seared tuna salad and it was a whole lot of lettuce and not much tuna. thanks for charging me $17 for a plate full of lettuce!

iwhere does management get the mind set to get the customer in the door.... servegreatfood at a above average price which i have know complaint but here comes the kicker. ask for horseradish....its an added charge of 50 cents and ask for some butter and its an added charge of 25 cents!!!! ..... come on guys i'm going to spend 175 dollars , don't nickel and dime the customer for condiments.....even mc'donald's and burger king don't practice this policy......

great food, lots of eye candy..greaton the wharf setting, excellent food, heated patio, view of entrance to inner harbor.

delicious fish and chips.. i had the halibut fish and chips and my wife had the cod. we both thought they were some of the best we ever had and we have had them ingreatbritain and ireland service was excellent. it was a very pleasant experience.

always a pleasant experience.. the first time we were went to the flying otter was for a christmas party. the patio, even in the winter, was a delight to sit on and enjoy the company of our fellow rotaractors. since then, we've been back a few times. its agreatlocation to sit during the summer, but does get really busy. make sure you try to go just before the big rush times. the food has always been enjoyable and even better they do a few meals that are garlic free. my father-in-law has a sever allergy and finding places that make enough things from scratch is always a hard task (seriously, you get tired of the same chinese restaurant after a while).

wouldn't say this place is kid friends, especially at dinner time.

steak night was so good!! $11.99 for a steak, salad, baked potato and prawns. such agreatdeal and the food tasted amazing! tiffany was our server and she is great! the service, atmosphere, and food are all excellent! we will be making a weekly event of thursday steak night at the otter :)

fave location andgreatfood. had the warm goat cheese salad which is almost enough for a meal. it is probably the best salad in town. then had the shroom pizza, that has plenty of mushrooms on a very thin slightly burned at the edges crust, this adds a nice flavour. the service wasgreateven though they were very busy. ordered clam chowder to go for a friend, and all was done efficiently with a smile. definietely my favourite downtown eatery.

more local craft beers!. loved the black and blue steak salad! this place is my absolute favourite downtown pub with decent food. i do wish they would feature more victoria craft beers. bringing out of town customers here is always a treat for them.

good, but can be better. one of my favourite places for food & beer. it does not get better than this for a true inner harbour ambiance. the food is from good to very good, the beer selection really needs work. suggest they sell only victoria beers (they could use that in their advertisements!) we have such excellent craft breweries here and it is hard to find places that serve them. otter would be the best place to meet up with the gang for a local pint.

im a huge fan of this place, the food and view aregreatthere. the only bad thing i can say about the place is that the service can sometimes be hit or miss.

had agreatexperience, staff was friendly and the food was excellent! fries were wonderfully seasoned. we had the blackened halibut burger and the capital burger and both were delicious.greatatmosphere, we will definitely be back!

we went here last night for date night. the service was good and fast. my boyfriend loved his ceaser and beerceaser. the raspberry mojito was really good. the appys were 2 for 1 and we shared the crab cakes (which were okay) and the tuna tataki (delicious!). for our mains we shared the halibut wrap and spicy shrimp wrap. i wasn't impressed by either. the shrimp wrap while it tasted really good only had about 4 shrimp. the halibut wrap wasn't bad but it just wasn't for me. my boyfriend liked it. overall i think the flying otter is agreatplace for a casual dinner and drinks. while i didn't personally like the wraps i'd like to go back and try something else.

finally, we arrive at a fun, laid back, casual restaurant. we decide to dine outside, and to my surprise it was very delightful because a heater supplied warmth. grayish-blue saltwater floats peacefully as sail boats dance silently. just as the sun is about to set, you snap a memorable picture, realizing how beautiful the view is. food i ate: moules frites this was good. the locally caught mussels had agreatsea-like taste and big mussel flavor. the broth was warm, creamy, sweet from the onions and red peppers. it went amazingly with the house cut fries. tuna tataki this was good but mainly because the  sambal-soy sauce was tasty. the tuna wasn’t that delicious – i’ve had way fresher before. if only the tuna tasted like it had been fished that day, i probably would have really enjoyed this one. wou

the mojito was tasty and the spicy italian sandwich was really good. they forgot the avacado on my husband's club sandwich, and we had to wait 20 minutes to get 3 tiny slices (for an extra $2!). we complained and they apologized and didn't charge for it. overall slow service, butgreatambiance.

awesome cheesecake!. had lunch here on a beautiful saturday morning. we sat on the patio and it was so nice to be right on the water! what agreatview. and i was happy that their outdoor heating actually works and kept us warm! :) as for the food, my husband and i both ordered salads. they were good, although a bit hard to eat as the greens were not cut into bite-sized pieces, so i actually had to use my knife to eat my salad...we ordered the deep fried cheesecake for dessert and it was amazing! i would go back just for the cheesecake
