charge for refills. can't complain about the view, especially on a sunny day. the service was average, and the food was above average pub food, but what i didn't like was paying for a refill on my iced tea. not only was an iced tea $3.25, a refill was $0.67! i could maybe be okay with it if the actual price was lower, but charging more than most restaurant do in victoria for an iced tea/soda and then charging for a refill of something that maybe has an actual cost of $.08 just doesn't seem right. but hey, i guess they have bills to pay. rent must not be cheap in a location like that...

regulars - love it.. we are regulars at the flying otter, and i have to say in the many many times we have been, we have been disappointed once. the food is fantastic, as is the service, and should any problems arise it is fixed without question.

would definitely recommend to locals and tourists alike.

yesterday was the second time i've been to the flying otter, and i won't be back agian for anything but a beer. the location is fantastic with a beautiful patio, but the rest was meh. dirty cutlery i was willing to look past but the food i can't. got the halibut wrap and it was just sad. the wrap was 95% super sweet coleslaw with a few scraps of halibut in it, gross. fries were cold and over seasoned. my girlfriends salmon wrap was equally sad, waaaay over spiced and swimming in chipotle mayo. the drinks were good though.

a disappointing night. went there for a second night as the first time was excellent,tonight though the food was very disappointing for me and the 3 friends i was with,even the on tap beer that was recommended had to be sent back, the service was was not up to par,the girls mind was definitely elsewhere,won't be going back anytime soon.

we had the shrimp appy-was very good.
the burger was bland, fries were good.
over all was disappointed with the lack of flavor in our food. service was good.

really enjoyed my quick stop here while waiting for my flight. service was fast and my tuna salad was really, really good! my only complaint is that they didn’t offer to let me sit outside and gave me the first high top as you walk in...so i could then hear them offer outside seats to everyone else that came in later...(maybe it was my giant suitcase??)

what i really liked though was their healthy options! red fish blue fish is only seconds away, but i wasn’t looking for anything fried and this quick stop really hit the spot!

great food and service . delicious burger , salad and beer. i will be coming back the next time i visit victoria! saturday night and the place was packed yet no waiting in line .

good food, nothing special and a little expensive for lunch. staff were very loud chatting with each other, but service didn’t suffer due to it

really enjoyed lunch here. arrived 12noon with a stroller - a seat was found, service was quick and friendly. we had a wrap & salad and a mango salad with prawns. the wrap meal was a decent size and tasted good. the mango salad had a creamy mango dressing which went well with the prawns....

really nice lunch spot by the water. great views. prices are a little bit high but that's par for the location. lots of seafood options and apparently the fish and chips is delicious! i got the salmon wrap with yam fries and the beer special for the day. service was quick too which was awesome.

on the docks at the harbor seaplane airport, with fish and chips, well made cesars, burgers, and such. excellent place to sit and wait our watch planes come and go, with fair prices.

not great value for money. i ordered $17 seared tuna salad and it was a whole lot of lettuce and not much tuna. thanks for charging me $17 for a plate full of lettuce!

always good food at good prices at this place. service was great even though the restaurant was quite busy. great fish and chips, clam chowder, and usually fantastic burgers! a staple when in vic!

went here with a bunch of friends on their wing night. their wings are okay. not great. just average. also, it gets packed real fast so go early if you're going for wing night.

we wish there was a no star option. after having lunch we both came down with the most unbearable food poisoning. we would never had left a review except for the food poisoning. this restaurant doesn't deserve a review. we couldn't believe that $2 glass of coke would need 50 cents for a refill.
