flavors restaurant - holiday inn & suites makati

i found the food choices to be limited . there's nothing to rave about the flavors. dishes were your average beef caldereta, spicy squid, pata tim, crispy seafood noodle, sweet and sour pork, grilled chicken, fish, ratatouille, pumpkin soup, pizza, pasta, noodle soup, a small salad bar, dessert spread, taco bar, japanese food limited to maki and a bit of salmon sashimi.

it's much better to go to the nearby buffet restaurant inside the mall which has wider selection of food and is priced the same as the discounted price at flavors.
 
we're not totally disappointed with our lunch.goodcustomer service shown by the staff made up for the limited food choices. without the credit card promo, the original price of php 1400 is pricey. i must say we will not have a second visit even if there's a promo ; will explore other restaurants.

went here for my birthday. wanted to go for a buffet that was different from the usual viking's and buffet101 that has really gotten boring. flavors has the perfect ambiance, staff are really nice and the food tastes good. however there is limited choices, or perhaps i was just sad the seafood choices only included 2 kinds of fish dishes. no shrimps crabs mussels at our night. i loved the mongolian station (you get to choose veggies and meat to put in the rice) cuz it tasted better than the longganisa fried rice out in display. there is also meat grilling station,where the marinated beef and chicken tastesgoodnewly cooked. the carving station was not well stocked, only small portions of ribs and chuck beef was being served unlike old reviews where there was bigger portions on display. there was a make your own caesar salad that was fun, but not enough toppings to make a salad other than a caesar. i absolutely loved the walnut choco cookie and it paired well with free flowing coffee ( i tried brewed and latte) and tea (dilmah chamomile, green tea, earl gray, etc). the other food available were baby potatoes, fish in schezuan sauce, baked pasta, pork balls, various maki rolls, 2 kinds of soup,etc. i would say the place isn't worth it for their full price but we got the 50% discount in eatigo so it's ok. reservation at 8:30 but they let us start eating 8pm. i would go back only with the discount again lol.

booked reservation thru eatigo at 50% selection was limited and drinks was just one round of ice tea. nothing special except for the samurai crepe. but i would consider this a a go to buffet hotel as the place os not crowded. and food just right plusgoodservice..

i had buffet dinner last night. thinking that it was a 5-star hotel, i thought i would be so completely satisfied. i enjoyed their roast pork and beef. their beef noodle soup was comforting. they had chef to cook it based on your taste. i liked their salad though but not to the point, i would have another 2nd plate. veggies were cut into small pieces as if you’re in a regular restaurant. they hadgoodbread though. but how could you enjoy it without butter and cheese, right? desserts were fine. i enjoyed most the pudding and their mangoe crepes. i think buffet price was reasonable for the food quality they offered. plus their servers! they only had few. they were short of staff. we were eating altready and nobody went to us to ask for our drinks. i had to stand and approached a waiter. otherwise, i would have choked. they should add more people. their buffet price is not cheap after all.

wide array of choices ranging from filipino, japanese to indian cuisine. personally, for breakfast, i’m happy with the traditional filipino style with rice and different viands.

i loved their juices specially their mango juice! they have numbers provided on your table which you can give to the different custom sections of the breakfast buffet spread. i did not pass up the egg station and the noodles station (perfect for the cold weather). they have a taho stand where you can prepare your own personalized taho. they have the bread station which i skipped since i was already too full with my heavy breakfast.

food wasgoodand since we want to dine very early so we won’t be bothered with the crowd, we went down as early as 6am.

food is just okay. my friend ordered thai red curry and i got marinara linguini and ube cheesecake. i super love their ube cheesecake! it's also their house special :) we also had red wine which is also their house special! :)

and to add!! we saw this cutie chinito server 😂😂😂 haha!

holiday inn's flavors should definitely be part of manila's top buffet restaurants:

*price is okay. should begoodif they offer unli drinks in lieu of just serving a round of soda or iced tea
*while the selection is not that extensive, the quality of food is exceptional
*place is just perfect, not too big nor too small
*place is baby friendly; they offer high chairs with table, and children plates and utensils

what we truly appreciate most with flavors and holiday inn makati in general is the staff's notable customer service. every single one of them is very warm and accomodating. of all the hotel restaurants we've been, holiday inn makati must have the most cordial staff, they make you feel homey! kudos to all of them!!!

the sraff and their service is what i found to be memorable. variety of food selections is limited, quality and taste is not bad -goodto a certain degree - but nothing to write home about.

service is excellent. lots of choices in their ala carte menu which are reasonably priced. i ordered their pork sinigang for just 295 pesos and it comes with rice and it'sgoodfor 2-3 persons. quality of their sashimi is great. will recommend this restaurant.

nice ambience, and i like the decor. only thing is that for a hotel buffet, the options are limited. the bread choices wheregoodthough. also, taste was just ok. the desserts were better than the main entrees for me. staff was always very helpful.

the selection is very limited but the dessert table is really really good. the japanese section is a 4 (with sushi, sashimi and the likes) and this was seconded by my japanese friend. the meat section is alsogoodalthough the sauces could be better. they have the kid section as well with kiddie plates and all that. it was a nice touch but the food is your usual. there are brocollis and a whole lot of vegetables on that area. hope kids don't get too scared when they open the lid.

over-all it was okay. we went here by the virtue of bpi's credit card 50% off promo and the place was great but the food is so so.

first of all, their staff are very accommodating, courteous and helpful. they will always greet and serve you with a smile.

second, they servegoodfood. i like their carbonara and marinara pasta. their buffet is also heavenly! lots ofgoodfinds to choose from!

finally,goodfood for a price that doesn't hurt your wallet.

holiday inn makati's flavors restaurant discriminates people.

holiday inn makati's flavors restaurant -- the most unprofessional food place ever -- suddenly cancelled our buffet reservation. this happened despite our company making a reservation a month earlier to avoid the hassles of finding a restaurant this holiday season. they cancelled the day before our christmas party, which is december 16.

their reason? a bigger company (probably one of their "vips") made a reservation at the last minute and the restaurant obliged. in short, not everyone is important for flavors' management. reservations mean nothing for flavors.

to offset our hassle, they offered to transfer us to their bar and promised to slash 50% off the total bill. a bar for our christmas party dinner. notgoodenough.

because of flavors' discrimination, i will make it my personal crusade to remind people every year to think twice about holding a party at flavors. they don't care about your time and satisfaction. flavors will suck buttholes for the right price.

good job, flavors management. such professionalism. much wow.

i tried both the lunch and dinner buffet here.  the dining area is spacious and classy. it gets packed on weeknights. you can book a room if you are with a large group. they usually tie up with credit card companies so you might want to check your cc company's offerings. the food served during lunch and dinner were almost the same,goodthing i dined 3 months apart. they offer filipino, asian, european and american dishes. you can check marc muñasque's list of the food choices here. i was overwhelmed by the dessert bar. everything looksgoodand exciting! i can't review each food i ate because i filled up so fast and everything tasted good. their selection must be 1/4 of vikings but priced twice  so i really wouldn't go back unless there's another half-price promo from my credit card co.

had dinner here with my husband and son last sunday. i love the place that it is not crowded, it looks comforting, classy, neat and inviting to have a dinner. the place is not that big but for us it's ok. there were just a few of us having dinner. the staff were accommodating, nice and friendly. food selection is not too many, just the right number. their food is reallygoodand also their coffee! they provided our son a clean and nice-looking chicco high chair, plastic plate and utensils really intended for a child's use! how cool is that! this is the first time that we saw an establishment offering such amenities for kids. i just wish others will also do the same instead of just providing dirty and sometimes worn out high chairs. there's an ice cream cart with manong sorbetero attending it offering 3 flavors of ice cream and ice cream cones. he befriended my son and gave him 1 cone with 3 scoops of ice cream and another empty cone. how sweet! being an active toddler, my son kept running around. one of the staff gave him a coloring book and crayons to keep him busy and it worked! also, he gave my son a little teady bear dressed in shirt and pants with the hotel's logo printed on the shirt. he also played and talked to my son for a little time to make sure he's enjoying and doing fine. i really appreciate the extra mile they showed our son. will definitely go back here!
