five restaurant bistro

awful overpriced pizza. i was so disappointed when i got my pizza. first the crust was black and lacking taste since it was burnt to a crisp. very few toppings placed on each oddball slice not a typical round pizza with wedge slices a very grotesque shape that was cut in all shorts of shapes. the toppings were light and i mean light and what i was mostly upset with was the cost. this pizza only feeds one for a meal so if you split it with others prepare to order more food or leave hungry. way over priced for what i received don't waste yourtimeor money on the pizza not a winner in my book.

great atmosphere. and good food. while i"m not terribly pleased that all the restaurants in edmonds seem to be serving gourmet pizza these days - the pear gorgonzola pizza here is amazing and i order it for an appetizer eachtimei visit. the other items that i have had on the menu are good too including the carne asada. one great thing about this place is the lighting. they have it right and have paid attention to the detail. though the restaurant is in a strange spot - sort of a strip mall - they have enough good things going that it is now in our regular line of up good places to eat in the area.

love it, love it, love it!!. a friend and i ate here for the 1sttimeon friday and it was amazing! the atmosphere was great, i love the unique feel of this place. our server was friendly and the food was fantastic! we shared the clt- i was thinking about it all weekend it was so good. i am having it again today for lunch. it is the perfect dish to split for lunch, price is right and you feel full but not stuffed. i will definitely eat here again. (maybe tomorrow)

not enough bread. this was the thirdtimeto five. loved it the first two but disappointed this time. we went for my birthday and started with the goat cheese appetizer. there were four of us and when it was brought to the table the server said "looks like some one will have to share their bread.". i was confused until i saw that he had only brought three small slices. why would you only bring three when clearly there were four people and instead of going to get more, make a stupid comment like that? also, after we shared the bread there was quite a lot of cheese left. we asked for more bread and i can't be sure, but i think they charged us for it!!!!!
the service was good as well as the food, but sad they were so cheap about bread.

beautiful restaurant, great food, good service, love the presentation. we live near the 5 bistro and have probably been there 10 times or more. we have always received excellent service and delicious food that is presented in creative and fun ways (love the salad in a mason jar).
i'm a vegetarian and my boyfriend is a meat eater and we are both able to find plenty of options. the pizza is really good and could be split between two people. many of the salads are also large and could be shared. the children's mac and cheese is to die for!
mixed drinks are fabulous but i am not a big fan of their espresso as it has been bitter everytimei order a latte.
we've tried the tiramisu, coffee mouse and gelato affogato and all have been deliciious.
the restaurant decor is funky and fun and there's a great patio during the summer with blankets for patrons on chilly nights.
my only suggestions would be that i'd appreciate a vegetarian entree option and no more bitter espresso please.

awesome. we were met at the door and walked to our table before we had a chance to say a word. we felt like old friends of the owner by thetimewe ordered our special custom gimlet :) the steak was prepared perfectly and the chimichurri sauce added a tangy spice. overall it was a great experience and we've added five restaurant to our list of favorite spots!

no chips :(. i took my husband on a date to this cute little bistro. i was excited to try this new place as we love trying new places in the area. my husband had a really hardtimenot having chips or fries at a bistro to go with his sandwiches. our sandwiches were tasty but a little extra would have gone a long way!
place was cute, but hope the managers takes all criticism as constructive and changes up some things. the place has potential to be popular for our area.

food was good but........... it took a longtimefor the food to arrive and we had to ask for tableware. why not set the table before people arrive? and what is up with a cesar salad in a mason jar? then it had to go on a plate to be eaten. maybe if the kitchen staff spent lesstimemaking something that immediately needs to be deconstructed, the food would arrive sooner. it is a cute place but i am not sure we would return.

loved it!. we tried five for the firsttimetonight & really enjoyed it. the staff was helpful & friendly; the food was very tasty & presentation was great. the mojitos - oh man! they are good! we had the salmon & tho spicier than we expected, the flavors were amazing - very good! will definitely be back!

wonderful!. ate there last night for the firsttime- service was great & friendly! we shared our meal - the scallops with the spicy lime bechamel suauce was excellent, tasty with just a touch of spice. we then had the chicken saltimbucco - the crimini sage wine cream sauce with the oven fried vegetables were delightful, the potatoes had a nice crunch on the outside and soft & melty on the inside!

this is a great place! will go again!

five! five days a week. we love this wonderful addition to our neighborhood. have eaten breakfast, lunch & dinner - no not all in the same day. but there was atimewe had company for about a week and a half, and i think we were there 5 times! simple but "out of the box" menu. love the "madame" in the morning. our guests loved the mussels. have enjoyed every salad we have tried! sandwiches too! i am not a big tomato & meat type pizza fan, so, so refreshing to have some unusual choices. i love, love the "pear pizza" (pear, gorgonzola, pine nuts, dill - mmm good.
