while in st. louis for a wedding we stopped by here on the morning after for an early lunch. i ordered the porgy & beef (bottler’s burger topped with our house smoked pulled pork, fitz’s root beer bbq sauce and crispy onion straws served on a toasted sesame seed bun) my wife got the grilled portabella
(grilled marinated portabella mushrooms topped with provolone cheese and roasted red pepper strips served on a toasted sesame seed bun with a side of garlic aioli). we were both satisfied with what we got, but not blown away. not bad for lunch.

absolutely awful service!! my family and i attempted to eat here this evening but after waiting 45 minutes and watching 2 other groups with the same number of people as us that had arrived after us we decided to leave. when i told the hostess that we would not be waiting any longer and headed for the door my husband heard the manager that had been standing right there (and had failed to even acknowledge my complaint) tell the hostess "well that frees a table up" . i have never been treated so poorly by a manager in any kind of service environment. this was our first and last experience at this below 1 star restaurant.

solid on drinks, over rated and over priced food. fitzs makes their own brand of root beer and cream drinks so obviously they've perfected that along with using appealing frosted glass mugs. however, this is one of those restaurants that are over rated and over priced due to its location. there was a long wait to be seated. food can be comparable to a 24/7 diner that serves large portioned appetizers. the root beer float was worth the upward price and experience to try from the original source but that's the only perk.

good!. a solid burger and a great variety of mug sodas (w/ amazing float recipes). great place to take people from out of town

good food but horrible service. there was a dozen people waiting when we got there. when hostess gets back, she looks for shirts instead of sitting people and then 9 more people walk in. nobody is taking names. finally, hostess finishes and seats us upstairs never asking if it was ok to go up. i have knee problems and tables were available on first floor. restaurant was extremely loud; nothing to help control noise. eventually, waitress shows up for drink order and gets it wrong because it is loud. we ordered an appetizer but it came with our meal. waitress argues with us about extra napkins for our drinks. waitress almost never checks on us during meal which was the only good thing. not sure if i'll return.

food was great. buffalo chicken wrap and fries was a win. the service was poor and took forever for our waiter to pay attention to us, and wasted our
time. i advise asking to not sit in the far back corner, or you will be ignored.

loved the onion rings on my burger. fitz's is such a fun place. with the bottling machines, sparkling sodas, juicy burgers, lots of sports channels, friendly staff, and divine desserts--there is plenty to enjoy! i ordered the pepper jack burger and discovered that i really love the onion strings; it was a surprising garnish. i plan to get them when i return.

we decided to split a gooey butter cake. i have never had one of these st louis specialties, and was sorry i had to share. the bottom was cooked into an "almost" crunchy crust. it was similar to the outside of an old fashion style cake doughnut. however the middle was a warm pastry that was like a transformer toy. . . it was a pound cake crossed with a rich pudding. this transformer bombed my taste buds with a big, buttery blast. wow! you should definitely order this treat.

good root beer, bland food. the root beer is good and the atmosphere is certainly nice. service was very attentive and fast. however, the food outside of their fries is mediocre at best.

great glutenfree menu!. this is just about the only restaurant around that has amazing full meals for the glutenfree eater. their burgers are delicious and i go here as much as possible! love it!

great for small children. this is a landmark in st. louis, because of there tasty sodas and floats. kids will love this. parents will hate it, because its overpriced, over crowded, rude servers and the menu is bland and filled with fried options and tasteless burgers.

but you'll get to see some sodas being made! woohoo!!

totally overrated landmark.

good food and good service. fitz's has yummy food and a fun vibe. but what makes fit'z especially wonderful is the staff! they are friendly, efficient and fun! plus they are super good looking and obviously very on top of their lives! those rowdy group of youngsters have got the serving game on lock down!

i loved the pepperjack burger at fitz's. we sat on the top floor, it was a cool place, old fashioned bottling line downstairs....
our server was tim, he took good care of us.

current fav. my first visit to fitz's was around a year ago. i've been back multiple times and have partaken of several different menu items. i've never been the slightest bit unimpressed with anything that i've had. the place has amazing food and service. the atmosphere is a great and unique (in a good way). if you go at the right time of the day, you can even watch the old-fashioned bottling operation underway in the back of the main dining area.

with outside eating and their own free parking lot, the experience is fully rounded out. i've been during lunch all the way through late evening and the service was always good.

love fitz's!
