amazing experience!! i have three kids and the server was wonderful to them. the atmosphere was fun and food was good. this is a restaurant you must visit whether you live in stl or are just visiting!!

fun for everyone!. it's always a great experience atfitz'sfor the entire family! this is the place we make sure we take out of town guests every time we get the chance...they are really great at catering to large parties! :) i highly recommend for anybody young and old.

perfect family celebration for graduation. we had a great time atfitz'sto celebrate our daughter's middle school graduation. even though the restaurant was busy, we got great service from our waiter vince and all of family enjoyed grill food and a variety of different floats usingfitz'sroot beer. our daughter was all smiles when she was presented with a bottle offitz'sroot beer with a happy graduation label.

we had a large group (20+people) butfitz'swas able to accommodate us at one big table so we could all be together. our waiter was very nice and helpful and we all received our food around the same time despite the many orders placed and some people in the group who arrived late. food was also delicious - some table favorites were the sunshine burger, the pulled pork, and the chicken tenders. overall, great service and great food! thank you, fitz's!!

loved the onion rings on my burger.fitz'sis such a fun place. with the bottling machines, sparkling sodas, juicy burgers, lots of sports channels, friendly staff, and divine desserts--there is plenty to enjoy! i ordered the pepper jack burger and discovered that i really love the onion strings; it was a surprising garnish. i plan to get them when i return.

we decided to split a gooey butter cake. i have never had one of these st louis specialties, and was sorry i had to share. the bottom was cooked into an "almost" crunchy crust. it was similar to the outside of an old fashion style cake doughnut. however the middle was a warm pastry that was like a transformer toy. . . it was a pound cake crossed with a rich pudding. this transformer bombed my taste buds with a big, buttery blast. wow! you should definitely order this treat.

good food and good service.fitz'shas yummy food and a fun vibe. but what makes fit'z especially wonderful is the staff! they are friendly, efficient and fun! plus they are super good looking and obviously very on top of their lives! those rowdy group of youngsters have got the serving game on lock down!

current fav. my first visit tofitz'swas around a year ago. i've been back multiple times and have partaken of several different menu items. i've never been the slightest bit unimpressed with anything that i've had. the place has amazing food and service. the atmosphere is a great and unique (in a good way). if you go at the right time of the day, you can even watch the old-fashioned bottling operation underway in the back of the main dining area.

with outside eating and their own free parking lot, the experience is fully rounded out. i've been during lunch all the way through late evening and the service was always good.

good atmosphere, ok food. what makesfitz'sworth going back to is the atmosphere. it's a great place for kids and, though we've yet to see the bottling actually happen, we expect that's pretty cool to watch. and the root beer. bottomless frosted mugs . . . good stuff. we went back recently, after the ownership change, to see what was different. the atmosphere remains the same, as does the root beer. the food? well. it's solid. the pulled pork is even surprisingly good, though very, very sweet. the menu is built around burgers, some sandwiches, and a few house specials. but the burgers are better across the street at blueberry hill. the fish and chips at three kings down the block is hard to beat. and there's simply no way a place like this can hope to compete with the bbq titans in the area. it's a solid, fun place to go with the family. don't expect gourmet food, but it's hard to go wrong here, either.

great service.fitz'simpressed us with their service this week. we had a party of about 20 people, all wanting to sit in specific groups. although some of the tables were rather crowded, they fit us all in and followed our preferences. the servers were all very attentive and kept our rootbeer mugs full!
about 6 or 7 of us ordered salads, which were enormous. everything seemed fresh. our group rated their food, and most all of the burgers scored 4 or 5/5 stars. popular items were: bbq burger, kitchen burger and the greek salad. overall, it was a nice night out and they took really great care of us.

fun place for the family. i don't particularly enjoy going to the loop... the traffic and parking situation is a real pain in the arse... but i often find myself craving the root beer fromfitz'swhenever i'm on delmar. the burgers are pretty tasty as well...

were it not in the loop, i'd go more often.

best american on the loop. fitz is an american restaurant located on the loop. their root beers are delicious, and their burgers are great as well. blueberry hill seems to overshadowfitz'ssince it is across the street, but i thinkfitz'sis far superior. when you leave blueberry hill, you wreak of smoke and 30-45 minute wait for a cheeseburger is normal. if you want a burger and root beer on the loop go to fitz's.

meal was ok at best.... we made the trip over tofitz'slooking for a good meal and great rootbeer. sadly the meal was ok, certainly not great. my son had the teriyaki bowl....veggies were definetly out of a frozen bag and lacked a good portion of chicken. i had fish tacos....again, just ok. the real point behind going to fitz is to get rootbeer (or other variety). rootbeer was kind of flat and lacked a deep rootbeer taste. i have hate to say it but i bottle of mug rootbeer is better in my opinion. the overall atmoshere was good and this would be an ok dinner place for young kids (was kid friendly). i will not be returning...overall was a disappointment.

needs to step it up. i have always lovedfitz'sfor the atmosphere and easy going menu. however, it is lacking any sort of effort. there is too much competition around the city for better restaurants, they need to change up the menu or get better ingredients. it is a good place to bring kids because of the root beer :)

great eats at this st. louis classic. i've visited several times since it's close to the washu campus, and i've always had a good meal. the waiters are pretty attentive despite the large size of the restaurant. there's always a lot of families here so if you want to eat in quiet, look elsewhere.fitz'sis always bustling! i always get the bison burger (delicious, make sure you ask for cheese if you want it as well as fries instead of the salad) and the great shakes.
