so-so. this was our 1st (and probably only visit) to fahrenheit. we were to meet our photographer for some pictures of the "great view" of the charlotte skyline, and then have dinner the week of may 4th. riding up in the elevator to the 21st floor was great - so we figured the view would be great as well. i must admit, i was very disappointed at the view. i had taken so many better pictures of charlotte's skyline from other locations around the city. quite honestly it was just so-so, and for anyone hoping that the railing will not be in the picture - forget about it - it's just too tall. the fire pits were a good touch.

while waiting for our photographer, we viewed the menu. honestly, i'd read that the prices were high, so i was convinced we should even eat there - maybe we should just get a drink. after viewing the menu, it didn't seem that the salad and pizzas were too out of line. so, we decided that's what we would eat. once we were finished outside, we ventured inside to our table that overlooked the "great view". i must admit the best part of the view was the fire pits. the restaurant was very busy at 6:30pm, with lowered lights for ambiance and quite loud.

we ordered the avocado and cucumber salad (chilies, cilantro, basil, toasted cashews, with gochujang vinaigrette) and a pepperoni (fennel confit, crushed tomatoes, provolone, crushed red pepper, parmesan) pizza (16"). the server brought us this wonderful bread and butter (which turned out was the best part of the meal.) the salad was good - fresh and spicy. the pizza was spicy as well, the pepperoni was large and spicy. we did discover that 1/2 the pizza was burnt on the bottom (consistent with an oven that was cooking uneven.)

the server was very attentive and animated. it was apparent that she loved doing what she did. i liked the fact that you could see the kitchen and what was going on in there; kind of like a chef ramsey tv show. it was entertaining.

the prices for what we ordered wasn't bad, but for anyone doing a meat or fish entrée, it was pricey.

this a family type restaurant situated in the edenvale area. the food is reasonable and service adequate. its the type of place you go to for dinner during the week when you don't want to cook and want a good meal. there is plenty secure parking with a guarded parking lot across the street.

so close to perfect it was scary...

highly recommend the prawn starter, or the snails but im pretty sure everything would be equally amazing.

the steak is indescribable. feta and jalapeño has never made more sense and the rump is just everything. cuts like butter and melts in your mouth.

i didn't make it to desert but what i tasted of calvin's cheesecake i was immediately saddened by that fact.

definitely one we'll go back to

this is our local hangout, a great environment for both old and young. an exceptionally diverse menu with plenty of options to choose from. the waiter who first served us, eight years ago, is still a waiter here. the staff are friendly, informed and efficient. food is scrumptious too! keep an eye out for their excellent specials!

let me start by saying that i have been going to fahrenheit edenvale for the last 7 - 8 years about 6 times a year and ive never had anything to complain about until last monday night.

we went for the steak special. upon arriving we were given a table in what must have been the darkest corner ive ever seen in a restaurant. looking around i could see that the ceiling light directly above us was out. it was so dark we couldn't see our menus. i didn't want to be moved because the air con in the other sections was set to way too low a temperature so we just used our phone flashlights to read the menu.

the waiter then came to take our order. i ordered escargots as a starter and was duly told they are out of stock (kudos to our waiter for being informed on the restaurants stock outs).

then the evening got really strange regarding the house wine. my partner ordered a glass of spier cab sav for r55. i ordered the house wine for r30. when our wines came, my glass was half the size of hers??? i asked our waiter why and he explained to me that because i had paid less i got less wine. i argued that surely i paid less because i got a wine that was not the same quality. this whole discussion seemed to make my waiter very uncomfortable and he said he would get the manager to come and explain to me. well im still waiting.

upon finishing our meal we couldn't find our waiter when we wanted the bill. over the next 25 minutes we asked 4 different waiters to ask our waiter to bring our bill. after 25 minutes our waiter reappeared and informed me that no one had told him and he would organise our bill straight away. that took another 10 minutes and we eventually got out there.

i am not blaming the waiter here because i think that most of these issues were out of his control.

it was just generally a bad experience and i think management needs to put their hands up here and do better.

i gave the 1 star because our food was very good, as usual.

don't be fooled by the thick steak they show on their mobile billboard and facebook sponsored ad. four of us decided to try the monday night 490g sirloin special. what we all were served up was 4 very thin sirloin steaks which i doubt we're nowhere near 400g. we will not be back.

i have visited fahrenheit several times and i have never been disappointed. their rump steaks are out of this world, the service is always on point, the managers and staff are friendly and attentive. i have brought colleagues and business associates here on a few occasions and all have loved it. and best of all, prices are still very reasonable in comparison.

my family and i love fahrenheit. big portions of food. waiters are always helpful and accommodating. children love the play area and the pizza making stand. it’s really nice for adults as well. the menu has many options. not like many family friendly restaurants where food is sacrificed for children’s entertainment.

this was my first visit to farenheit, edenvale and unfortunately my last.

to be fair, the staff and management were very friendly and helpful but the food... the food was so dissapointing!
everything tasted bland, the prawns, the sauce and the rice was bitter.

definitely not worth wasting a sunday afternoon here.

on the plus side, the setting is tranquil but a bit on the dark side, i felt like i was straining my eyes the whole time i was there.
