ellie's cafe

rude staff. love the fact there's a vegan/gf optioncafein my area, and they have great food and juices, but i've been there 4 or 5 times, and every time i go, the staff are either rude, short-answered, or just chat amongst themselves while people are waiting to be served, or while they're serving. they also make faces when you ask for a green juice because they dont like making it.
every website on the internet about thiscafesays they shut at 4pm on a sunday, but when i went there at 3:20 they had packed up and the lady insisted i was incorrect and that they shut at 3pm, even when i said i saw online they shut at 4, she said i was wrong. they should probably get that checked out then. not sure which is correct then, but it's very misleading. haven't had a single good experience there, won't be going back.

what a fantastic cafe! i go regularly for coffee and occasionally to eat. service is friendly and mostly pretty quick although they do get a bit snowed under sometimes. they have lots of healthy options on the menu as well as traditionalcafefood. they also sell lots of interesting products and can give information about ingredients. great local cafe.

poor pr. i met a friend at ellie'scafelast saturday morning for brunch. he ordered a full english which looked amazing when it arrived. he asked for some hp sauce which the waitress replied "that will be 50 cents". she waiting around until he found the 50 cents, then came back with a minute amount of hp sauce in a very small dish, there would have been no more than a tablespoon of sauce! i think it is extremely bad customer service to charge for something which should come complementary.

nice little café lovely staff. i've been here quite often, but yet to eat a meal however always a pleasant visit. it's always nice to be remembered, all be it a few flat whites and a round of toast! decided to treat myself to a chocolate brownie cake last time.....i really shouldn't have as it was that delicious i will have to have more! i will definitely continue to visit here.

love it! - every time.. the first time i came here, i was amazed by how friendly the team was and how delicious the frappes were. i brought my boyfriend to thecafefor lunch and he was gob-smacked by the size and quality of the homemade beef burger + extras he had purchased. the lady at the front is always kind, friendly and provides a great service - not to mention she always seems to perfect every frappe she has served to me. the best thing about ellie'scafeis probably that you can pretty much make any changes to a meal or drink that you want. also the pancakes with banana or mixed berries and ice-cream are a must! :)
