pathetic food. flat bread served raw! beef well over done after asking for medium. prawns are tasteless and livers not spicy. a big 'fuck you' attitude from the f&b manager. maybe coz it's not clebreties you serve. 50minutes for basic meals are pathetic waiting times! ps to the f&b manager:foodshould not be prepared to your liking, it should be prepared the way it should be at a 5 star hotel- never ever have i been served raw dough and the manager says he likes it that way that's y he serves it!!!! thank you to jabu, krinesh and mzwa for good service. f&b management needs to be reviewed here

the area in which the restaurant is situated is beautiful and the view of the sea is amazing. the staff is also very friendly and helpful. thefoodis good and the portions are nice.

my only complaint is that the hotel running it is a problem. i understand that a hotel caters for their guests but we came to the restaurant hoping to sit and relax but we were made to feel like outsiders as a lot of the facilities were restricted which made us feel very uncomfortable.

really goodfoodand fantastic setting. pity about the waiters who seemed more concerned talking loudly to each other than attending to guests.

cant go wrong here! wow the views the service and thefoodall come together to make a lunch date so memorable! their moet is  unbelievably good value compared even to the bottle stores and complements most of their dishes well. oysters prawn tempura lamb curry baby pizza's all big wins.

first of all let me just say this place is beautiful. the decor and ocean views are to die for. i had the cajun chicken pizza and the beverly hills cocktail which was suggested by our waiter. thefoodcame out speedily and was delicious & fresh and the cocktail was also yummy. great spot in durbs👌🏽

this review is for high tea at beverly hills. high tea is served in the lounge area overlooking the pool and beach. the inside is cozy and well decorated with soft music. the tables are well spaced out so allowing for intimate conversations. this is where the good stuff ends. the service is pathetically slow despite so many waiters milling around. even though waiters of other tables saw us sitting idle, not one thought to check in on us. guess it’s each waiter to their own. i was incredibly disappointed with thefood- no one had asked if we had dietary preferences and so after serving us a plate of meat dishes, i had to send it back. after receiving a vegetarian plate and confirmation that the samoosas were potato and pea, i bit into one only to realise it was mince. i ended up eating only the cheese and tomato sandwich. we could choose just one hot drink, which is quite unusual for a high tea experience. if you want to have high tea in dbn, rather bypass this establishment and visit the oyster box.

everything about this hotel is too beautiful including thefoodand service, you cannot beat this location, it is beyond magnificent, very highly recommended

was at the beverly hills hotel in umhlanga and the service was terrible, the waitress did not clean the table and my husband told her not to put thefoodon the dirty table and she still did not clean the table, floor was also dirty, the old waitresses are all gone and the place is becoming a dump, it should change from 5 stars to 2 stars, think the hotel was sold to new owners and they don't seem to worry about the place anymore. won't be going there again, even thefoodis not the same anymore.....this was for the christmas holidays 2015

the place to go for good cocktails, the clearlys keep me going back. thefoodmenu is an added bonus. service can be improved as the place does keep a low profile and is not too busy.

lovely atmosphere, and attentive waiter.foodwas delicious. awkwardness when we asked for an extra piece of bread, but was very quickly sorted out.

i absolutely love the atmosphere here! the staff is friendly and breathtaking seaview. thefoodis amazing, well presented and the menu has many different options to choose from. been here so many times; i can't fault this place! definitely worth a visit.

decor is impressive, very modern and chic. the white and powder blue theme allows a lot of light into the area which is quite pleasant and is perfect for the beach setting.

waiters&waitresses are very attentive and make you feel right at home. i had such a good time i didn't want to leave :)

thefoodis ok, nothing amazing but they have redeeming qualities which make this spot worth a visit!

i visited elements cafe for a tea and snacks date with a bunch of others. the cafe is really beautifully set and opens up onto the pool area of the hotel with the most perfect view of the ocean and famous lighthouse. gorgeous table settings and ambience.

i enjoyed the savoury canapés and was well catered for with vegetarian snacks. the lemon cake squares, brownies and salmon bites were particularly good, so was the margarita pizza.
the basil pesto and chicken stacks plus savoury roast beef croissants were also a hit with my friends. the white chocolate and lime eclairs along with the macarons were very disappointing, so thefoodis quite hit and miss.

this is a great spot for a girly lunch or maybe even that romantic first date purely because of ambience and views. staff were very friendly and accommodating.
perhaps i will go back to try something more substantial since i have heard good things about the rice dishes.
