ee burritos restaurant

there are two sections to the space, arestaurantand a little grocery store. therestauranthas a bar, stereo equipment, televisions and a lot of space for seating and dancing. every friday they have latin dancing from 9:30-10:30 that you can take part in, followed by a dj to 2:30 am. this space also allows them to have live entertainment and music. the decor is quite plain with latin art and photography that can also be purchased. menu ee burritos offers an assortment of latin food from quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, pupusas and more. food we went with the shrimp burrito. the shrimp burrito comes in a flour tortilla with lettuce, cheese, sour cream and salsa. it was delicious offering a fresh taste and a lot of colour. this came with two sides of your choice. i went with the seasoned rice and vegetables and nacho chips with fresh tomatoes and sour cream. on top of that service was great,

bad service murdered it.. my party and i were waiting to be sat. therestaurantwasn't even half full. the person behind the til looked at us but didn't come over or say "someone will be right with you". then another party wandered in a few minutes later and he rushed out to seat them! my party wanted to stay so we did, but it only got worse from there. we told the waitress we wanted to order our food with our drinks and she said ok, then after we said our drinks she took off. the coffee was sludge and was undrinkable. our waitress ignored our table for 20 min. finally someone else came over and we told her about the problems with the coffee. she didn't refill the water and said the coffee was almost done but it didn't make its way to the table for another 15 min. our waitress stopped coming to our table, and the new person told us our food would be right out (we'd already been waiting 40 min). finally after waiting almost an hour (55 min) we see one of the waitresses parading our meals to each table and asking if it was theirs. of course the food was cold and the beans had a crusty cover. i mean come on. i absolutely love the rice and refried beans there (when it's not served cold and gross) but there's nothing special about the rest of the food, and i will absolutely not go back there.

short version: fire your servers; they're going to kill your business.

not bad. this is another you gotta eat hererestaurantof my list. working in saskatoon so had to try it out ordered the beef burrito & two pork flautas. the flautas where massive was very suprised exspected the usual pinkie sized flautas. they where tasty & the dipping sauce was real good not sure what is in it. the burrito was excellent & the perfect size left felling good & not discusted with myself. might have to stop in tomorrow to try something else.

i went here for lunch today, and got a take-out pork burrito.  i had heard great things about the food, so i was looking forward to going there. (i had not been before) the staff were very friendly, and therestaurantwas very clean.  my food came out quickly.  my pork burrito, however, was disappointing to the point of being inedible. 
it was drenched with grease. the oil completely over-powered any tasty goodness the burrito could have had.  the oil saturated the burrito shell and ran freely (not one or two drips) from the bottom of the burrito. i ate about a third of it, then had to throw the rest in the trash.

perhaps i will try this establishment again, but it won't be anytime soon.

i'm somewhere in the middle. the food was okay but was definitely nothing special. therestaurantwas empty when we went since we went around three in the afternoon and the service was not very good. seeing that myself and another table were the only ones there, you'd expect to be well taken care of but that wasn't the case. anyways nothing too special. mediocre ..

disclaimer: the food deserves a 3.5. the only reason i am giving such a low review is because the service is terrible. i came here for lunch today with my boyfriend. it was busy, as normal so i expected there to be a wait. i'm honestly really fair when it comes to things like this, i understand how hard serving and kitchen staff work during a rush! we didn't order anything extravagant, just a a quesadilla, 2 flautas, 2 small tacos, and 2 pupusas. it seems like a lot written out, but it's really not. aside from the quesadilla they are all small items. i was not even beginning to be bothered until about 30 minutes after we ordered. i started noticing that people who had came into therestaurantand ordered after us were receiving their food. that irked me. after finally waiting 50 minutes for our food to come, it arrived with no explanation for the long wait. the dishes with tortillas were quite soggy, which leads me to believe that they had been prepared for some time. i wonder what could have possibly happened. the food was pretty good, but i'm not sure if it was worth a 50 minute wait.

cold delivery. just ordered delivery from this place and the empanadas came very cold. so we called and were told to microwave them. thought the whole concept of ordering from arestaurantwas that the food came ready to eat, guess i'm confused on that fact?

came here after being ignored at anotherrestaurantand...wow! it was so refreshing to be greeted genuinely. the food is so flavourful and plentiful. definitely a new favourite hang out!

the owner of therestaurantis extremely friendly. however i had the worst service imaginable by the waitress there. really put a bad taste in my mouth for this place.

this weekend, i finally got a chance to go back to ee burritos. m & i went there in february, before i was diagnosed, and i haven't managed to get back since. i remember loving the food, but i had no idea how they were for gluten-free. ee burritos is this littlerestauranton the corner of ave p & 22nd st. it's not exactly a nice area, and as far as i understand, ave p has quite the reputation. therestaurantis in a strip mall, and entering it is a little weird. they also host a small latin american grocery store, so you enter into that, and therestaurantitself is to your left. the dining room is large, with several tables and a bar, and enough room to easily maneuver between the tables. the tables are covered in bright colourful table cloths and plastic covers. the menus are brightly coloured pieces of paper that have been laminated. the walls are dotted with an eclectic mix of paintings and pictures, mostly latin american in subject or style. the menu offers a splendid variety of

can be good and/or bad. after eating here numerous times over the past year i have decided to write a review. when this places serves good food it is truly excellent, but sometime the meat is dry and chewy or another time my drink came in a dirty glass that was clearly dirty. when the food is made right, the meat is tender and moist, the rice is fluffy and the food is nice and hot. other times, not so great. the worst thing to happen was taking the guacamole out as a choice of side and charging 4.99 for it, this is not justified, avocados are cheap and so is guacamole. too bad the guacamole was good and now i just won't order it. staffing is also hit and miss, sometimes the staff seem to not care to check on your drinks or leave you waiting forever to take your order other times it's server excellence. this could be a great restaurant, bring back the guac and try to be more consistent with service and food quality. i will still eat here, but if food and service continue to decline i will stop.

we went back and while the food was good this time, the jalapeño steak burrito was amazing, the drink came in a dirty glass again. we will not return again for a year, i will always give a second chance, but only after giving arestauranttime to turn things around.

horrible service!. my boyfriend and i went there thursday. we were the only ones in therestaurantand we were hustled for our drink orders before we sat down. the waiter told me they had no drink menu or any specials (both of which i could see from where i was sitting). he then proceeded to call me "woman" the entire night. when we did finally receive our drinks they were absolutely horrible. not to mention the price has spiked up $2 a drink! the new ownership is awful! i felt uncomfortable the entire time as all the staff members sat uncomfortably close to up the entire time (in the large restaurant). when we got our bill all the prices were different from the menu and it was such a hassle. i imagine thisrestaurantwill not last much longer under this management. its a shame it used to be such a great place. if you want authentic mexican food i suggest labamba!

will return.. we came here today for a late lunch, and we were the only customers in the building. i had been hesitant to come to thisrestaurantbecause of the location, but my boyfriend said years ago the food was really good and convinced me to come. the server was very friendly, but english was her second language so that was a little difficult especially when we ordered our food. took a little while for our food to come, but it was worth the wait as everything looked and tasted quite good. i had a combo with 1 tamale, 1 papusa, guacamole, and salad. my boyfriend had the same thing but with rice and beans instead.
my boyfriend wasn't quite as impressed with the papusa he had, as he thought it was overcooked, but mine was great. the tamale's were delicious, the salad and guacamole fresh, and the rice and beans were tasty.
nice to have another option in addition to la bamba when we want mexican in saskatoon (even if ee burritos is technically el salvadorian). i liked the little shop area too where you can purchase products to take home as well.

much improved!. you can definitely tell thisrestauranthas changed hands. the food has always been amazing, but generally the service is terrible, and for that reason i usually avoid eating here b/c i leave upset with the long wait times, screwed up orders, and just poor service. i recently decided to give it one more try, and the food as always was fabulous, but the service matched. we were sat promptly, our order taken quickly, and the food came out hot and in good time. i was very impressed with the changes to the service. i would recommend those of you who have been disappointed in the past to give this place another shot!

dine-in? no thank you!. it's been said before, and i'll say it again: the service is terrible. after waiting to be seated, and then poured water (which only happened once, and the server was unattentive and literally dumped the entire pitcher on my purse,) we (a party of two) waited over thirty minutes just to have our order taken. we were moved two times to other tables, almost had to beg to get our dirty glasses and cutlery changed, and we're generally ignored. the music was nice, but at 6pm, it did not need to be cranked - especially when therestaurantwas full of families with small children. when we finally got around to ordering, many menu items were no longer available, and had to wait another 45 minutes for fairly simple dishes to prepare - and the order came out wrong! by the end of it, we just wanted out of there as fast as possible. food was good, and i may get it either as take-out or delivery, but personally, i'll never go there to sit down again.
