ee burritos restaurant

the food was ok. too much cilantro in some of the dishes, beans an off color. taste was decent, burritos could have more meet. meh kindaplaceif you know what i mean.

thisplaceexceeded expectations. the tamales were the best i've ever had, the pupusas, were absolutely amazing and the soup was very good. theplacelooked clean. some things that need attention: please dispense with the little plastic containers for side sauces. side sauces can be presented in a nicer dish. the plates for the salad and the medium nachos were too small. please present those dishes in bigger and nicer place. aside from these details this is a wonderful, casual latin american restaurant.

cold delivery. just ordered delivery from thisplaceand the empanadas came very cold. so we called and were told to microwave them. thought the whole concept of ordering from a restaurant was that the food came ready to eat, guess i'm confused on that fact?

welcome to mexico. i read some review online and was a little worried. out of ten reviews i read 4 were negative saying theplacewas terrible, but then i remember what i learned in school about comment and complaint. people are ten time more likely to comment on a bad experience then a good one, so that means 7x10 there were 70 good comments and 4 bad ones. not so bad.
me and my wife went there as a date and we loved the food the service the owner and the decor. keep up the good work ee's.

first timer. i went on a recommendation for the first time on friday night, the young girl who served us was so nice and definitely had trouble with english so she messed up the no onions but definitely made up on it for charm and attentiveness. she left after her shift and we were there until late and then the service less attentive but okay.the mixed pupusa was delicious, so was the lemon tortilla soup, but the taco ehh average.the pina colada was the best ever!. dont order a caesar as it was weird color and awful, couldnt drink it. love the music and lessons and the after lesson music but they just need to turn down the volume a bit as it is way too loud in that small atmosphere but i think that is a latin thing the louder the better as in mexico, music same way screaming loud! only thing they have to really watch out for is keeping the riffraff out from that area, and they try to do that, my sister was yelled at by some nutjob who came in and was screaming at her about bringing disease in theplacewe were frightened as he was literally standing over her and yelling as we sat at the table and the waitress went to get the owner i assume, who escorted him out but we were a bit leary of leaving late around 11:00pm as this weirdo was standing outside the door.i think they need to have a bouncer to keep the local "20th street area" characters out of theplaceas a couple almost started a fight and it was a pity as we were really enjoying watching the dancing and the rest of the partrons were just people out having a good time dancing and socializing.
would i go there again , for sure but they need to keep a tight rein on theplaceand not let it slide into slum hangout.
also i would agree the 4.99 avocado is real bad business and the one little tiny sour cream container with taco bad cheapskate too, as hey sourcreme is cheap! so owners take heed thisplacecould be a great shining star in saskatoon if you straighten a few things up. there are alot of really good restaurants in saskatoon and very competitveplaceand the best way to kill your business is the above mentioned things.

since change of ownership thisplacelacks the feel and food quality it had before. asked to change out salad for just a second serving of rice. server said ok. when my meal came it had salad and i told the waitress and she said they would fix it. came back to the table and told me that they can't do that with the specials(ordered mexican shrimp). never had a problem any other time i have ordered it before change of ownership.

not impressed.. i can't understand why people like this place. i love mexican food but i don't like this place. the owner appears to be a nice guy from el salvador but he seems really stingy with the food portions. and why is his food so bland and expensive? i've tried thisplacethree times (because people keep insisting it's good) and each time i ordered something different and paid around $15 - $20 for lunch. i was disappointed every time. why are the food portions so small? why do i only get 3 tortilla chips on my plate? can't they afford to give you more food? i left hungry all three times. i expect to leave full and satisfied when paying over 15 bucks for a lunch. three strikes, you're out amigo. i will never go back.
how i miss chi chi's mexican restaurant!

horrible service, horrible attitude. i went to ee burritos on a friday night for my friends birthday. theplacewas packed and there were only 3 waitresses on the floor, one of which was new and hadn't been properly trained. i ordered the shrimp burrito combo. when the food arrived an hour and a half later, they had brought a beef burrito. i don't eat red meat, so i was mildly annoyed. when i explained the situation to the manager, it was now 10:30, the kitchen was closing in half an hour, and as mentioned i had waited an hour and a half for my food. the manager snottily replied "well i'm going to charge you for everything you eat. if you don't want to pay for it, don't eat it". given no real choice, i ate my scoop of rice and beans, leaving the burrito. when the bill came they charged me $10 to eat rice and beans for dinner. to top it all off, they refused to give us tap water for free, despite us having eaten dinner there.

food, what food?. i went there in july of 2010, three of us. we arrived at about 7:30 and placed our orders at 7:40. my wife's & friend's orders arrived at 8:00. i am still waiting for mine.

they did offer to comp my meal after i complained at 8:20 (and everyone else was finished) but i had yet to be served. the cook came out and explained why my meal was taking so long, and was a little argumentive.

i was never served, theplacehad 6 customers in it besides us.

much improved!. you can definitely tell this restaurant has changed hands. the food has always been amazing, but generally the service is terrible, and for that reason i usually avoid eating here b/c i leave upset with the long wait times, screwed up orders, and just poor service. i recently decided to give it one more try, and the food as always was fabulous, but the service matched. we were sat promptly, our order taken quickly, and the food came out hot and in good time. i was very impressed with the changes to the service. i would recommend those of you who have been disappointed in the past to give thisplaceanother shot!

people, it is not mexican food.. firstly, after reading the posted reviews, i need to clarify it is not mexican. of course there are elements form across central america but the menu is largely el salvadorian. you should at least know your dish's country of origin if you are going to pretend to know anything about food.

that being said, take it from someone who was raised on pupusas, tamales, and tortilla soup this is the onlyplacethat comes close to the real thing. yes the service is a bit rough but don't let it contaminate the food. the owner, also a bit rough but the cooks know where it's at. it's latino food, in a latino atmosphere...and it's great. don't assume it's bad because your tastes aren't suited to it.

4 thumbs up. i love everything i have had there and i have had almost everything. the rice and beans are so delicious. the quesidillas are all great i prefer the chicken ones. the chile releno is great, its a pepper stuffed with cheese and breaded in a tomato sauce. i recommend thisplaceto anyone and everyone.
