glad we stopped by!. got there on a tuesday night and it was crowded but not packed, very pleasant! we found out if was buffett night and boy did it look good! fried chicken, meat loaf, ribs....mmmmmmmmm! alas, since it was out first time there, we wanted to order off the menu so the buffett will have to wait! i had a double cheeseburger and fries and the wife had a the tenderloin and breaded mushrooms. we both had what we decided was the best root beer either of us has ever had! frosted mug with no ice, mmmmmmmm! the food was made to order and hot! the staff was friendly and efficient and my wife said it was the best breaded mushrooms she has ever had! i don't know what all the fuss about the location is, theplacehas been there for 50 plus years! personally i like the fact that it's a bit out of the way. needless to say we will be back! thank you for a great meal!

perhaps one of the most kid-friendly restaurants in indy. and all because of a car.... there are many restaurants out there in indy that can claim to be kid-friendly. they might have games, etc for kids to play with. but the coolest part about edwards drive-in (not to mention the awesome tenderloin) was the way that the kids meals were "plated." they were put in cardboard cars. the cars made all the difference to my kids who glady ate the dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets and the grilled cheese sandwiches because they loved the fun "toy" that came with it. it made me happy enough to enjoy my tenderloin which i must agree was one of the better tenderloins i've had in this city. yes, the outsides of it got progressively crispier and that was a good thing. the crinkle-cut fries were better than i've had before, but still could be better if they would've been fresh cut. the cashiers at the front were super friendly and made me feel very welcome. i loved that.

thisplacekind of looks dated, but it all comes together. they've got a nicely paved parking lot that is perfect for the car shows they regularly host. thisplaceis also spic-n-span to the max. the onlyplacethat can remotely compete with thisplaceis suds drive in down in greenwood which hosts some pretty rad car shows in the summer months. i would recommend everyone looking for a bit of nostalgia comes to edwards. it's one of my favorites in this city.

owner. its a greatplaceto drive to and get a burger or tenderloin and frys and frosted glass of root beer. not many left any more so its a funplaceto visit and the food isnt bad at all. monster tenderloins are worth the drive any day. my only issue is the dinning room usually feels cold to me and i dislike shivering while im eatting. other then that is a goodplaceto go once in awhile for sure.

this is a hit and missplacefor me. the diet root beer is phenomenal! the onions rings are just a big greasy blobby mess. the mushrooms are standard breaded frozen- blah! the cole slaw is just ok. the grilled ham n cheese is the best i have ever had. i have had better (&worse) tenderloin sandwiches. overall its a 5 out of 10 for me.

nostalgic. thisplaceis a great, casualplaceto relax and eat some good food and drink a root beer in a frosty mug, while listening to old vinyls on the jukebox. i had a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and a root beer and my husband had the breaded tenderloin sandwich with the onion rings and root beer. the bacon cheeseburger was tasty and it had a delicious chargrilled taste and my husband and i both agreed that the onion rings were some of the best we have ever had. the were crunchy and covered in the batter that was a perfect golden brown. i was jealous of how awesome my husband's tenderloin was. it was one of the best tenderloin sandwiches that i have ever tasted. we ordered the grilled cheese for our 2 year old little girl and she gobbled it up. her sandwich was huge, so we took it home for her to snack on the next day. the air conditioning was out when we went and the employees looked miserable, but they were still so friendly and managed to keep a smile on thier faces. this is a greatplaceto take the family and we will definitely be going back for more casual evenings out.

disappointed. i had been to edward's once before, about 15 years ago and thought it was pretty good. we saw the recent "man v food" episode and decided to take the kids there. my wife and i both had the tenderloin, onion rings, and cole slow. i was expecting the tenderloin to be very good but it was mediocre at best. it was pounded out so thin that the outer 3 inches of it were so tough, it was hard to bite through. the onion rings were good. one son had a chili dog which he didn't think was very good. he didn't like the chili sauce. my other son had a grilled chicken sandwich, which he liked. they both had fries which were under cooked and soggy and went uneaten. i had told the kids how good thisplacewas but it wasn't really very good. we won't be back.

not mug n bun. i have heard people compare thisplaceto the above mentioned place, but there is no comparison.i agree with one of the reviews that it is a blighted area to say the least.actually the little run down hard times barbq joint on the corner has better food than edwards.the tenderloin is good, not great, and no where near the size of the one they showed on man v food.the fries were dry and the frozen type, and the cole slaw was inedible.

to be fair, i had never tried a tenderloin sandwich. eh. not so good. bland...and more bland. i was horribly disappointed by the onion rings. overly fried and not one lick of onion flavor. it was dominated by the oil and batter. my root beer was the saving grace. overall this was really bland tasting and theplacewas like a geriatrics convention. not quiiiiiiite as good as mvf made it sound. if you're going to try a mvf visited place...go to bub's.

a nice local eatery. i am on a mission to eat my way thru urbanspoon. i saw this restaurant on man vs. food, and thought i'd give it a try. they have homemade rootbeer, delicious hand made onion rings and i got a tenderloin, it was ok. thisplaceis average nothing spectacular but still tasty. the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, very clean. i will go again.
