5 star establishment with 2 starfooddecent portions undercurrent of racism waiter walked by me four times without looking at me greeted white customers very promptly would not go if black or spanish.

my husband and i had an enjoyable dining experience and thefoodwas all delicious. we tried the tempura shrimp which includes vegetables, and the avacado egg rolls. then we had the 3 for $14 sushi lunch special which included a bowl of miso soup. we had tempura shrimp roll, louisiana roll and a spicy salmon roll. we also had a spicy cajun roll and sundae roll. i recommend everything we tried.

love thefoodbut just tried to sit and eat dinner at the sushi bar and order an abundance offoodbut when we tried to order some happy hour beverages they told us you had to sit at the bar to qualify for "happy hour" prices... since the bar was full we asked our waiter when she seated us at the sushi bar if they would honor the happy hour prices because there weren't 2 seats together at the bar - 2 empty on opposite ends of the bar. she said yes. next thing we knew the bartender came over telling us that they wouldn't honor happy hour prices at the sushi bar and if we still wanted the drinks we would have to move in his area due to their computer systems. we told him that we had already ordered sushi and was waiting on that. their computer service should not dictate where in the restaurant you can sit and order certain items they offer. a little extra out of the staff could have made this experience more pleasant!

i know some people have said that the waitstaff wasn't the best, but our were nice, friendly, and helpful. ourfoodwas awesome, wonderful, and delicious! i would recommend a trip to edo japan.

had dinner at edo---for a new restaurant they have alot to learn!!!, our party of 5 went and it took about 30 min just to get our drink order!!! we then placed our soup/salad order with our entree/sushi order, they brought our entrees our first---but only entrees for 2 people!!, we asked them to hold off on the entrees until the salads came---so they only brought salads for 3 of us!!(another mistake) finally we all got salad/soup, after about 1 1/2 hrs the meal was served, our volcano rolls were served very cold, and additional drinks came another 30 min after we ordered them, overall the experience was ridiculous!!! thefooddid not taste bad at all, our waiter had no clue what he was doing, the manager and we will be returning to kyoto for future meals

this place sucks, the customer service by the own owner is nothing to be considered great. the owner would not comp the beef my friend had a bite of and did not like. he told her if you order it you have to pay for it. i was flabbergasted when he told her that. i work as a gm at a resturant and i would never even think of telling a customer they had to pay for anything they did not like or even eat. i would also like to say that thefoodwas not that great. i would never go back there even if you payed me to.

you can't believe the professionalism missing from management bad night all around. okay so went here after reading great reviews. after all it was my birthday! just got started and waiter dumped my soup directly in my lap, while soaking my just delivered sushi tray! after a weak attempt at cleanup no one (manager) even came to apologize or offer explanation. we toughed it out and stayed for the meal hibachi style. the waiter at end of meal explained he wanted to discount or comp us in some way for the disaster of a night. the manager told him if he wanted to comp or discount that it would come out of his pocket, not the managers!!!!!! needless to say the entire experience was distasteful in many ways. never had i seen a manager basically ignore the issue (even after i mentioned it directly to him) but to put a young waiter on the chopping block to avoid satisfying the customer, well........ never again will i do business there and i encourage anyone in rockwall to look elsewhere. sometimes nice decor and somewhat decentfooddon't replace customer service!! oh and did i mention we ordered two deserts which they explained they were out of ....tiramisu, and strawberry cheesecake.
skip this one as it is a 50\50 chance.

bento lunch. great first impression. i stopped in to grab a late lunch, i just couldn't face fastfoodagain today. as i said great first impression, the bento at about $12 looked great. the miso was solid, the rice was perfect. salad fresh and it's dressing very good. the steamed edamame was undercooked,i can't stand underooked edamame. the beef used for my teriyaki was good until the last two slices, which ruined the meal. had the inexpensive cut been trimmed properly i never would have tasted the difference. the chef who butchered the beef simply missed.

i will try dinner, to be fair i stoped in at an extremely odd hour to order. i think they will do well. i know it will improve over my experience. i'm chalking this up to bad timing.

yummy!. i went to edo japan for my father on his birthday, and i had a really good time! the waiter that we had was friendly and did a wonderful job serving my family! once we walked into the restaurant i was surprised by the fact that it was a bakery as well as a japanese restaurant. i glanced over the macaroons and cheesecake. the atmosphere of the restaurant was absolutely breath-taking! the great environment made me feel great! the chairs were really comfortable and thefoodwas delicious. i really had no problems with the service or food. the bathrooms were really unique and i would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
they defiantly captivated the whole idea of japanesefoodand had amazing desserts! it was truly and awesome experience! restaurant headquarters supplied the restaurant's amazing decor! it is beautiful!

amazing! when my friends and i walked in we were welcomed with friendly smiles and a fun sleek atmosphere. we chose to sit at the hibachi where i ordered the ocean scallops and the chicken bento box that came with salad california rolls ( delicious and fresh) battered and fried vegetable medley, shrimp appetizer, teriyaki chicken and steamed rice. thefoodwas awesome and the hibachi chef was so fun and cooked ourfoodperfectly. the servers also did an awesome job. to close my meal i had to make a very difficult decision because all the desserts looked delectable; in the end i ordered the hazelnut coffee macaroons with ganache filling. i will recommend edo japan to all my friends. all in all great food, great prices, great people and great service. 5 out of 5 stars!
