we stopped at this place for a latebreakfaston a road trip up the garden route for tour. the staff were very accommodating and efficient at serving our large group. there is something for everyone on the menu and the food is great - you will not be disappointed. the restaurant is also tastefully decorated and the view is beautiful!

talk aboutbreakfastwith a view! if you're looking to start your morning off on the right leg, then this is the place to go break the fast. sleek, clean and complimented by a breathtaking view of the lagoon mouth, you simply can't ask for better!

we arrived at opening time and were still met by a queue of 3 other couples. around half an hour later, the restaurant was half full. unfortunately, they don't take bookings and work on a first come first serve basis, so make sure you get their early if you want to get a seat by the window. they also have an outside section, which wasn't as busy, but sitting there when it's 14 degrees outside isn't so pleasant. they do, however, offer blankets and i happily took one to wrap around my legs inside.

we were in a bit of a hurry, so we wasted no time in ordering cappuccinos, one plain and one red. they came with a delicious biscotti biscuit to nibble on while we waited for our food to arrive. my better half also ordered a watermelon and strawberry juice, which was a bit overpowered by the flavor of the watermelon, but refreshing nonetheless.

our cafebreakfastand salmon hollandaise arrived relatively quickly. my partner was immediately glad he'd not ordered the same as i did (with ham instead of salmon, of course) and also happy that he'd ordered an extra sausage. the portions are small for his standards! for me, it was perfect - left me feeling satisfied, but not overly stuffed. i loved the hollandaise sauce and the eggs were poached to perfection, soft and gooey, yet still hard enough to stay on your toast. everything just seemed to work very well together and i absolutely loved it! my better half also seemed to have enjoyed his plate of food, as evident by the lack of leftovers.

when the bill came, i was surprised to discover that it was only about r50 more expensive than the breakfasts we'd had at our hotel. so i really think they're decently priced, given the great food, beautiful presentation and amazing view. i'd recommend it to anyone! ideal place to stop forbreakfaston your way back to cape town from plettenberg bay, or just to treat yourself if you stay nearby. and also worth getting up early for if you live far away! i'll definitely be back!

we went to havebreakfasthere a bit more than a week ago. we sat outside and the view was absolutely gorgeous. i ordered some kind of pork belly benedict, and at r89, expected a nice big breakfast. however, what i got in reality was very small and didn't even slightly fill me up. it was literally only 2 thin fatty pieces of pork, egg and hollandaise sauce. no bread or anything else. the service wasn't bad, but also not fantastic. my boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast, which was a bit more filling, but also quite pricy. the view is nice, but i won't recommend going here if you are hungry.

everyone at my table enjoyed their food ranging from burgers to whatever my dish was to plain ole eggs and bacon. the service was speedy even though they were packed to the brim and had a 30min waiting list.

there was a 45 minute queue and it was totally worth it. we were seated at 11 andbreakfastends at 11.30, so we decided to wait and order off the lunch menu. i've hadbreakfasthere before and the eggs benedict varieties are brilliant. i chose the po'boy burger- pulled patty in a teriyaki sauce, 2 tempura prawns and an apple slaw. delish- although a little sweet due to the sauce. the chips were perfect - soft inside and crisp on the outside. the hake and the calamari, deliciously fresh. what is amazing about this place is that, unlike many places over this busy season, the service was impeccable. exceptionally well run and an absolute pleasure not to be rushed and to be given time to chill, while also having staff constantly available for a top up or to answer a question. love it.

amazing views and excellent service! great place to start your morning withbreakfastand a cup of something hot like their chai mocha. their french toast and bacon with fig preserve and camembert is highly recommended for those who love their breakkies savoury and sweet. would definitely go there again!

we absolutely loved this restaurant. we hadbreakfasthere on an overcast saturday morning and the staff were all exceptionally friendly. both my wife and i loved our dishes. the views were worth the visit despite the weather.

it was by far our best restaurant experience in knysna. we will definitely be back next time we are in knysna.

the restaurant offers in door seating which was really ideal for the cold august day we chose to visit. despite the warm and cozy interior we chose to sit on the outside veranda overlooking the lagoon inlet, the knsyna heads and the featherbed nature reserve. it was cooler than inside but warm blankets were provided and the view made it worthwhile.

we ordered our food as they were closing thebreakfastservice but they, very kindly, allowed some of our group to order from thebreakfastmenu.

the service was excellent and starting with the seating hostess to the waiters and waitresses who served us everyone was well presented, warm and knowledgeable about the menu. as is the case with most good restaurants the management team was always on hand ensuring everything was running smoothly.

finally our various dishes arrived and what a pleasant surprise to find that everything we ordered turned out to be really well prepared and presented in an appetizing way. the menu is an eclectic mix of dishes ensuring something for every taste. a range of cocktails are also available plus a daily "specials menu" including some off menu dishes and cocktails. our dishes ranged from simplebreakfastdishes to calamari and chips to the remarkably good quiche i chose. all was good!
