destination restaraunt. this is the best restaurant in the region! everything is fresh, homemade, organic, and local. we love their "reconstructed potatoes" as a side, salmon burger, and lasagna for main dish. above all, stop in on a thursday, or whenever they are doing the turkey dinner as a daily special..it will put your grandma's thanksgiving dinner to shame!!!! do save room for pie, it is amazing. great friendly staff too. you will come back again and again...we eat multiple meals here when visiting the duluth area.

fresh and delicious food served in a relaxing atmosphere with a friendly and quick staff! i have enjoyed several meals there, and especially enjoy their breakfast options. the red flannel hash is a must!

update:  this restaurant is now known as duluth grill, not duluth grill embers.  the restaurant was taken over and revamped and has since been featured on diners, drive-ins, and dives . embers is a family style chain restaurant and up in desolate duluth, it was packed with midwest meat and potatoes staple diners sticking with the food of their choice. me, i'm always looking for something different and

twice is nice, we'll be back. i've been to the duluth grill twice and both times we were pleased & impressed! 1st time we were there is was late, close to closing time, we'd had a long stressful day at the hospital and they gladly took us in, never hurried us, were kind, and pleased our bellies! the 2nd time was mother's day; we were nervous about the typical bad, busy service often received on mother's day, but we were pleasantly surprised/pleased! everyone was happy with their orders, service, & price both times.
we will refer it & we will be back!

a restaurant that cares. the duluth grill brings together quality ingredients to make some awesome dishes. we just visited again for the second time. we had the loaded mac & cheese - penne, bacon, red peppers, and mushrooms loaded with cheese - i thought it was great, but my wife said it got a little heavy toward the end of the dish. i had the pastie - a flakey shell loaded with meat and vegies. we both agreed it was superb - if you can't decide what to get, try the pastie, and you won't be disappointed. for dessert we tried the banana cream pie. a solid finish to an excellent meal.
in addition to the great food, the service is good, and the duluth grill really cares about the food it serves. if you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and pay the duluth grill a visit.

hot on the heels of guy fieri's visit, kawikamedia and the minnesota burger posse stopped in at the duluth grill to see what all the hubbub was about. one of duluth's few 24 hour eateries (this town has no dennys!), the grill is ensconced in the industria

the perkins alternative place for breakfast-through-the-day in duluth and a notch up at that but it does close at 9pm and a bit pricier. the menu and ambience and service pleased us. generous portions: her omelette/side of bacon/salad and my steak curry bowl. we found refreshing the uniquely cross-generational crowd of diners with its hints of ships passing in the night.

nov 2019: still putting consistently good food in front of you and with unfailingly pleasant service. i liked the vegetarian besan chilla: a substantial meal, might be too spicy for some, an excellently constructed combination of comfort with bright flavors. btw this weekend the entrance wall work was completed around the fireplace welcoming all with its warmth.

i'm going to call it what it is, a tourist trap. i can appreciate that they want to stand out with unique dishes, but i feel like they're trying too hard. i ordered the chicken and whaaaaaat?, a plate engulfing pancake with bacon, corn and green onions cooked into it topped with goat cheese and a spicy maple bacon coffee syrup. it wasn't bad, but the syrup was way too overpowering. my wife enjoyed her everything omelette, but i wasn't that impressed.

any local will tell you duluth grill is the best breakfast in the area and there's a good reason for that. it is. there was a long wait for sunday breakfast on our first visit, but it was worth every second. everything is excellent, plain and simple. real, quality, locally sourced ingredients are crafted with care and delivered by waitstaff who genuinely seem to like their jobs, despite insane busyness.

we can't wait to try the new sister restaurant, omc smokehouse.

tried the grilled cheese and wild rice soup. very delicious. my husband had the dakota bison sandwich. it was delicious as well. i expected hamburger but surprisingly it was a bison roast. will definitely come back

great food, very long waits most days. i don't believe they take reservations, which is inconvenient, but just don't try to go on a weekend if you're crunched for time. it's a good place for kids, though you may have to ask to customize some of the kids options if yours are very picky. they're usually quite willing to do so.

the food was awesome! kids meals were even home made mac n cheese and not just box style. we went for an early supper. would highly recommend.

it is a great restaurant for using organic ingredients, but sometimes can go a little overboard. i went in the spring and ordered a bisepeno burger, which a friend had recommended. the menu describes it as a bison burger with peppers, bbq sauce, and caramelized onions. when the food came, i noticed the bun was soaked from the loads of caramelized onions. not sure if they load everything up with vegetables just because it's an "organic'' restaurant, or it was only a one time thing. i've heard they make great breakfast.

great food, great service, and overall amazing experience!! it has a great family restaurant feel. my husband and i makes sure to go here everytime were in duluth! we usually go for their awesome breakfast that is served all day but from what i hear and the look of their menu, all their food is great!
