over hyped over priced. love their key lime donuts which we buy by the dozen when we are in destin. always wanted to try their breakfasts but longwaitlines whenever we were there discouraged us. finally the stars converged and we were there for breakfast, which turned out to be a disappointing experience. it started badly when we had a longwaitfor a server after we were seated. the place was not that busy. coffee came quickly but not the water and our waitress disappeared until she brought out our orders some time later. my wife had the crabmeat omelet and i had the corned beef hash. the omelet was ok although a little short of crabmeat compared to some others i had eaten in destin. the hash was a disaster, it came to the table completely cold, hash, eggs and toast. it was as if it had been sitting under an ac vent for a while. had to send it back and when they brought it back to the table they had simply warmed it up in a microwave. i'll still get their donuts but nothing more

great breakfast. ate a late breakfast here late on a sunday morning. the line was out the door to get in, but we only had towaitabout 20 minutes. no problem - we ordered donut holes to eat while we waited in line! the actual breakfast was outstanding. eggs and omelets were perfect, bacon was three large, thick cut slices, and the bread seemed like it was home made. i had cinnamon raisin toast that i'd highly recommend. the portions were very large and the servers were very fast. after we finished, my wife and i could not come up with one thing that we thought could have been better. well, the prices might be a little high, but it's south walton. we can'twaitto go back!!!

this place is a must! if you are near any of their locations, you absolutely have to stop! don't be discouraged if you arrive during a time when there is a massive line, that line is there for a reason! i promise thewaitwill be worth it. i have been known to eat breakfast and lunch with these lovely people when i am in town. you can't go wrong with any selection on their menu!

the eggs benedict was delicious!!!! i give it a 4 out of 5 which is good on my scale for breakfast food. the donuts were a 5 out of 5 for sure!!! it was a longwaitso don't go when your super hungry. or buy a donut while youwaitin line:).

really good food with a good atmosphere. donuts of course are fresh and tasty. the negative could be thewaittime and parking. definitely will go back before heading home.

always a great breakfast. i am a local and for as long as i can remember i have been going to the donut hole when wanting to grab a yummy breakfast out. i have tried new places for different experiences but always come back to the donut hole and it is definitely a family favorite. everyone is friendly and the food is always hot and fresh. during really any season, specially on weekends, there can be an hourwaitor more - being local i just go when it isn't as busy. even on days where i decided i was willing towaitit is never really that long, they have quick service so you are never waiting long for your meal. the food is always great, from the side of grits or sausage to the monster "diet plate" it is amazing. everyone in my family has their favorites when we go. i work in the tourist industry and recommend this place to people all the time.

what am i missing?. seagrove beach is always the destination, and every few years we bring in donuts from this café. thewaitis very long, even if you arrive early, which we did. they look wonderful in the box when they arrive to the condo, and everyone is excited to try each one. then.......disappointment.....too sweet, pretty standard. the cake donuts fair pretty well, but the remainder are just mediocre. the donuts at home are much better, and i need to quit trying to figure out why folks flock to this place.

glad to see reopened. the santa rosa location was closed a few weeks ago for a fresh coat of paint and new flooring - we were glad to see all was back to normal during the christmas holiday. great breakfast...love the bacon! the "diet plate" is a meal that sticks with you all day. hard to beat the burgers, but the club sandwich is the best ever. service was great as always. happy, happy, happy!

back again. the peak seaon crowd has hit, so be prepared to wait. the lunch crowd is good, but there's typicaly no wait. the sandwiches are top notch - the club, blt and any other burgers are excellent. there's also the breakfast for lunch option if you can wait.
the service is always good and thewaitstaff is friendly and prompt.

may have towaita bit but worth it! we had a great breakfast & took the donuts with us. come early for donuts as they sell out.

not for me. i went to the donut hole today after passing it several times on my current trip in santa rosa beach.. i read the reviews and it sounded great.

now im not one to usually complain about having towaitto sit, but they didn't have any type of hostess or sitting method and it took my bf and i 30-40 min to be seated. our waitress was prompt with the drinks at first but never brought our waters and never came back for refills. after we got our food (minus a couple things) we didn't see her again. i had to flag down another waitress to get ours so that we could get our ticket. then they had charged us for the items we never got, but thankfully took them off when confronted.

my suggestion is to go down 30a to a place called stinky's for breakfast, much better service, much better food.

donut hole bakery cafe. when we went to the donut hole, at 10am there was a line outside. we decided not towaitand went inside for a "to-go" order. the eggs and pancakes were great and even tough we didn't try them, the variety of donuts was amazing. if you go during meal times, prepare for awaitthat is well worth it.

best corned beef & hash ever!. we are locals and often go to santa rosa beach donut hole. we love the staff, love the food and love the pastries. every time we have been there we have loved it. the coffee is always strong and hot. in the on season you have towaitforever to get a seat but the food is well worth the wait. the girls who work there are as sweet as the pie they serve and the cooks deserve a raise it tastes so good! we love the donut hole!

a must stop for my family every time we come! i cannot say enough great things about this place. from the homemade donuts to the sweet staff and amazing food we always look forward to this place! have been going for years and will never stop. i have 3 kids all under the age of 10 and they get a donut and the "kids pancake" which is the size of a frisbee!! they each eat for under $3.00 and they can never finish the pancake. it is the best batter that is so delicious you don't even need syrup! i love the egg sandwich and can never finish that either. we love that they serve breakfast food all day long. beware that there is always awaitin the morning and they sell out of their fresh donuts early! it is worth the wait!!

average at best. i hate to judge a place after only eating there once. then again, what makes a restaurant "great" is that it's "great" all of the time, right?

after a 15 minutewaitin line, we were seated. i ordered the sausage omelet, home fries, and biscuit and the mrs. ordered "the everything" with sausage, bacon, ham, home fries, grits, and pancakes.

the good: the mrs. said that the coffee was excellent and i thought my diet coke was good. the home fries were really good in my opinion as well. our server was really nice and accommodated us well.

now the bad: the omelet was plain. if it weren't for the sausage, it would've had no taste to it at all. the biscuit fell apart as soon as i touched it. as for my wife's food, the pancakes were ihop-like and not impressive. her grits were so runny, i initially thought it was white gravy. she didn't enjoy her food and i didn't enjoy (or finish) mine.

on the way out, we got the in-house made key lime pie that everyone raves about and a glazed donut. the key lime was extremely tart, so we couldn't finish it. i still think the best pie i had in destin during my week stay was at jim & nick's bbq. the glazed donut was pretty good. better than a krispy kreme for sure.

overall, i was disappointed. i'd give it a 6 out of 10 because it wasn't bad, but by no means was it good. i won't be returning there because i take my breakfast seriously and can't deal with "just good". i need "great".
