donut hole bakery cafe

my parents and i decided to check out the donut hole in destin for dessert. we had driven past the resteraunt many times, and noticed how crowded it was, taking it as a sign that this must be a great place to eat. although everything we ordered lived up to our expectations and was definitely delicious, the service was pretty awful. we asked for a dessert menu and was rudely told by our waitress that there wasn't one, which was fine, but she acted like that was common knowledge although there was nothing that would alert you to this fact. there were also no signs letting you know what each cake and pie was, and when we asked, our questions were met with an attitude that let us know we must be inconveniencing our waitress to put a little effort behind her job.foodwas great, coffee was great, but was definitely let down by the service at this cafe in destin.

great!!! great!! best meal we had.. best meal we had in seaside. prompt service, good portions, goodfoodand didn't break the bank. highly, highly recommend. will be going again when we come back. a++++

mostly stop in for donuts and sometimes a pie due to the huge crowds but the occasional sit down breakfast is good as well.

even when a big crowd you might score a stool at the counter which are first come first serve.

all thefoodhas been above average and a few twists on the menu keep it fresh and interesting.

the angel cream is my favorite of the donuts.

oh my goodness!!!! we love the donut hole! it is our tradition to go the last day of our trip for a happy ending! i got the combo meal of the day of pancakes, sausage, bacon, ham, and 2 eggs. soooooo good. and the hubs got the western omelet. of course we got our dozen donuts too! this is the most wonderful place to eat. super nice and thefoodis awesome. no problem with check out. oh, if it is just 2 of you , you can go ahead and sit at the bar area and eat.

really goodfoodwith a good atmosphere. donuts of course are fresh and tasty. the negative could be the wait time and parking. definitely will go back before heading home.

maybe i built this place up too much in my head due to the reviews i had read, but i was upset that i had wasted my family's time dining here. the service was extremely slow and thefoodwas disappointing. if i ever go here again, i will only go for donuts for the kids and skip the other options.

just like the other one, expect a line during peak times. i thought thefoodgood, but not quite as good as the other place, but our waitress, gloria, was wonderful! if you just want donuts to go, you can just walk in to the designated register to place your order.

always a great breakfast. i am a local and for as long as i can remember i have been going to the donut hole when wanting to grab a yummy breakfast out. i have tried new places for different experiences but always come back to the donut hole and it is definitely a family favorite. everyone is friendly and thefoodis always hot and fresh. during really any season, specially on weekends, there can be an hour wait or more - being local i just go when it isn't as busy. even on days where i decided i was willing to wait it is never really that long, they have quick service so you are never waiting long for your meal. thefoodis always great, from the side of grits or sausage to the monster "diet plate" it is amazing. everyone in my family has their favorites when we go. i work in the tourist industry and recommend this place to people all the time.

we have visited this restaurant several times for breakfast over the past few years on our trips to destin. on the weekends when we have visited, it has always had a good wait, but today, thursday around 9:00a, we were seated immediately with extremely friendly service. thefoodhas always been excellent. amazing biscuits and donuts. the donut hole gets two thumbs up from our family.

it was as good as i remembered. i took half of myfoodhome and had breakfast for the next morning.

a great "hole" in the wall.. we eat here every time we come to the area. thefoodis excellent and you get lots if it. don't even get me started on the donuts! they are amazing! go before it gets too late in the day though or you will miss out because they will be gone!

dinner served. my family went there for dinner since hubby was hungry for breakfast foods after eating lots of chicken and steak for previous dinners. at 6p, there was enough seating and a lot of parking. you can sit yourself.foodcame quickly. hubby had the 3 stack of pancakes and eggs which was more than enough. a pancake is the size of an adult head. he was able to take the leftoverfoodhome and have it for breakfast. i had the egg salad sandwich with fries. yummy but messy as the bread was nice and toasted but the sandwich became soggy and the contents (including sliced tomato) disintegrated the bread. maybe a thicker slice (texas toast) or buns would be better. my son had his usual cheeseburger. the burger was huge for a kids meal. for dessert i had to try, but took home, a slice of key lime pie. it was creamy and delicious. a whole pie is $15. we passed by the donut hole in the morning and, of course, there was a packed house as people were waiting on the patio.

best donuts ever!!!!. the donut hole in santa rosa beach have great severers and it seems like as soon as you sit down to eat thefoodis ready to eat! the bathrooms are very clean compared to most public bathrooms! you should see for your self

a must every year.. best value in the area. you get a lot offoodand for a great price. pancakes and bacon are the best around. we had a very nice waitress this year.

excellent service, excellent food. only sad that there was so muchfoodi couldn't eat it all!
