bikers beware. while i miss the days when the locals fought the opening of dogfish because it was considered far worse than the bikers that inhabited the bar before. sam and his friends continue to produce the best beer in delaware, even if they don't make it one keg at a time anymore. the mixed menu of burgers, pizza etc are not original but well made and flavorful. an apt accompaniment to the great beer.

if you're visiting rehoboth you must try dogfish head.

ok food appears very inconsistent. downrating my opinion a bit. come for the beer and atmosphere and not the food.

great place, bring the kids!!!. while on the pricey side if you just want something to eat, the food is excellent. my sister and i split the crab cakes (great) and my brother-in-law had the fish n chips (which rocked and very plentiful). get the sampler or one of the limited edition beers. if you are going to stay for awhile in rehoboth and have a fridge, get a growler of beer to take back to have with the next sunset. my brother-in-law was about to kill me because it was such a long walk from the hotel to the eatery, but was rewarded with great food.

great bar grubb especially the nachos. they are a meal for two people. always a crowd so be patient if you are in the mood for bar grubb. definitely not as pretentious as other rehobeth restaurants.

dogfish head brewery's pub in rehoboth sticks to a grand selection of their own brews and pub bites. the restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, both enclosed with wooden walls. i went with some people the other day to get some drinks and try some food. i had a glass of their mida's touch, which was delicious. it wasn't very sweet, but it was just sweet enough and was very smooth and light. the poutine had a beer flavored gravy, which was alright. the cheese on the fries definitely made it delicious. the spinach and mozzarella cheese dip covered toasted pita bread, the dip having a strong touch of citrus. i wasn't the biggest fan of the citrus flavor, but everyone else seemed to like it. for the portions, the prices were very reasonable and the food was prepared quickly. i'm definitely glad i got to check this pub out.

went for dinner on a sunday night, and the whole town was hopping! very busy, but we got a seat at the bar right away. ordered a seasonal beer, aprihop, which is delicious. my husband had a taste for ipas while i prefer more of an amber ale or fruity beer. this has a subtle taste of apricot with the slightest hint of citrus and plenty of hops. i would've had another, but with an abv of 7.0, i was feeling good after one. i ordered the shrimp and grits (pictured) with chorizo, kale, and egg. it was delicious, but a bit too salty. my husband ate their turkey burger with avocado and a cilantro aoli. the burger (as lean meats tend to be) was a little dry, but it had juicy toppings to balance it out. overall a tasty experience!

poor service/food. just returned from a fantastic getaway in lewes/rehoboth, de. my girlfriend and i started the trip off with a tour of the dogfish head brewery, followed by two nights at the new dogfish inn. we saved the brewhouse in rehoboth for our last night. this was an extremely poor choice. a place that is deemed the "soul of the company" by sam the owner, could not have been further from the truth. it started off with a lousy server. having ordered a sample of their distilled liquors, as well as a mixed drink, two ice waters, and a diet cola, we failed to receive our ice waters...that we asked our server for twice of a span of twenty minutes. (that long, because we only saw her twice in that whole time).
now, i know, that place gets pretty busy, however, this was late in the evening, on a tuesday night and there were a handful of empty tables, and no waiting customers. we finally had to grab a busser and ask that kind woman for ice water. eventually, ice water was delivered right at the time our main course was delivered (we already had our appetizers).

we both ordered burgers and our fries were luke-warm, half soggy, half hard as a rock, one was completely raw! really? how does that happen? at this point, there was no way we were complaining, as the server never came back to check-in. my girlfriend wanted a refill of her water and diet cola, which were left on the very edge of the table, begging to be refilled, yet the server ran past numerous times to return to other tables and never once stopped and asked how the food was or asked if we wanted drink refills. it was a real shame, as i was anticipating buying a lot of drinks that evening, yet, never went further than the liquor sampler and the mixed drink.

extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience, what a shame. will not be back to visit the place dogfish all started. i would warn others to think twice before visiting as well.

dogfish head brewing company is the reason that we went to rehoboth in the first place, so it seemed fitting that we would eat at some point in the place where it all started.

great experience. if you are anywhere in the area, make the effort and grab dinner or at least a drink here. i went for dinner and everything was excellent, from the food, to the service to the great beers. they had the usual fantastic dogfish drafts available but also had a great selection of special seasonal and other beers that i haven't found available in my area. my only advice is to take a growler or two with you. i made the mistake ( i read a blog somewhere) that said their growler prices are high. this couldn't have been further from the truth. there is a cool, small gift shop set up outside which also fills growls from anywhere from $8- to around $12. i wish i would have know the prices were so reasonable, i would have brought a few empties with me. also grabbed a bottle of their jin. great experience.

positive experience. my boyfriend and i are huge dogfish head beer fans and planned to do a brewery tour/ beach day on our way traveling from dc to nyc. the tour was awesome and we then planned to eat at the actual restaurant afterwards. there was no wait to sit outside and it was a beautiful day so we opted for that. loved the garden like atmosphere. we each did a sampler platter of the beer- my favorite being the midas touch. we split the lamb sliders and the short rib fries. the goat cheese tzatziki on the sliders was delicious and the lamb seasoned with cumin was cooked nicely. there were three to an order. the short rib fries had a white cheddar ale sauce on them and it was a heaping portion with lots of meat, which was very good. several of the desserts sounded delicious but we were too full. out service was quick and efficient with no issues. id highly recommend visiting if in the rehoboth beach area and enjoy craft brew

hmmm not up to snuff. i agree with several reviewers as to quality of service and food. server did not offer choice of butter or sauce with kid's pasta and when we got home and read the menu he did not offer kid dessert included with meal(we did not read menu in restaurant). why not include the carrots or apples with kids pasta?. i have been eating salmon sandwich for many years, salmon was good but breat was bad, split, dry, crumbled. and they ran out of chardonnay?..on a tuesday???? hmm, who is at the helm here now that sam is so busy???

i was really excited to try this place. the wait wasn't bad but that's where the positives end. the fish and chips: burnt fish and the fries were sponge-like and not hot. the pasta: over cooked but the peas and mushrooms were crunchy. beer: expect to wait 20-25 minutes for it to arrive at the table, and even then it was warm. will not be returning.
