d'lights cafe

over 45 minute wait for eggs and bacon on toast is, in my mind, ridiculous. when this was questioned the response was, "we're busy". how embarrassing! no wonder perth struggles to impress in terms of service. the obvious lack of organization was a worry. big serves of bread don't compensate for plain bad service. i felt sorry for the young waitress who was trying her best and who was polite.

no delight. we had breakfast there this morn 45 min wait for coffee that was watery. food good, no service, great view.

great food-great people. my partner and i eat at d'lights cafe quite often and enjoy it every time.no matter where we go in our travels(perth,down south etc etc) we always judge a big breakfast to the one served by d'lights and every time the others are found wanting-though good- they can't match the d'lights big brekky.don't know where erin (7th aug review) was coming from- we have never had soggy toast or "metalic"tasting mushrooms ?????.we know the difference between good food and average food and with d'lights cafe we just love it every time.dave and the great crew(both young and a little bit older than young-you know who you are hehe) treat us like long lost friends every time(something you don't always get elsewhere !!!!).keep it up d'lights-we love it !!!!!(and will keep coming back for sure)

best breakfast eva!!. we had the best breakfast at the best location in mandurah last weekend. we couldnt believe the generous servings of a massive "big breakfast". the food was excellent and delivered by happy staff members. a coffee or tea was included with the price and was just delightful. not many places can make a great coffee so this was definitely one of the good places. it was a beautiful sunny day and the view was lovely - water, boats, people and no flies. we are now regulars as you cant beat good food and good prices. d'light ful!!

delights. fabulous breakfast at this lovely cafe with wonderful views over the marina. come here most weekends for breakfast & are never disappointed. great food (& coffee), great service, friendly staff & a fabulous outlook. what more do you want?

great cafe/location. our opinion is completely the opposite from erin (7th august review). we go there every day because d'lights serves the best flat whites in mandurah. we like it strong (so it tastes like coffee) but not bitter and it is perfect at d'lights. the food is well cooked, served in a timely manner, affordable, plentiful with a great variety and the staff are very willing to accommodate special requests - you only have to ask. we have found the staff consistently cheerful, helpful, friendly and very obliging. very occasionly, over the past few years, things have gone wrong (as it does in all our daily lives) but one only has to draw the owner's or staff's attention to it and it is immediately rectified. don't criticise after the event, tell the owner at the time if you have a bad experience so he can put it right. we love it and the location is good too! so give it a go and form your own opinion - we are sure that you will be d'lighted.

perfect lunch. we have just come back from d'lights cafe where we had a beautiful lunch. as always the meals were perfect and value for money must be the best in mandurah.
we have been coming to d'lights since they opened some 6 years ago . the meals have always been great and we have always been satisfied either it be coffe, lunch or dinner.
these days d'lights is the only place we go to and where we take our relatives, freinds and visitors.
we do not know anyone by name at d'lights, however great thanks to the team and we will se you soon again.

really bad breakfast & terrible coffee!. at first sight i booked the cafe as there were a lot of people dining. i also noticed they serve rubra coffee, which is advertised on their window & a big plus in my books. i booked a table for breakfast with friends, hoping to find a nice little breakfast hub....unfortunately not

the lack of barista training really reflects in the coffee, it is terrible, the wrong milk texture for a latte, more like the foam from a bath, the coffee under-extracted & the taste is bitter & burnt. unfortunately they don't do rubra coffee any justice! i ordered simple as the menu doesn't have anything fanciful for a vegetarian, so scrambled eggs & a side of mushrooms it was. i thought how can this go wrong, well it can, no flavour, no garnish, metallic tasting mushrooms & soggy toast to top it off . there were 7 people on the table & we all ordered differently, however agreed on the experience & never to return.

i really hope the owner reads these reviews as the location is so nice for a cafe, but the cafe itself needs a lot of work!

crappy carbonara. i just ordered the fettucine carbonara for lunch and was very unimpressed. it had an almost sweet flavour, like off sour cream was used. i would suggest the chef go to an italian restaurant see what real carbonara tastes like.

me and my partner had breakfast here. we were greeted by smiling faces and grabbed a table outside over looking the marina. no table service was a bummer but once finding the pay counter, i must have got this girls frist day as my partner wanted bacon and eggs - didnt ask how the eggs wanted to be cooked and i ordered the eggs florentine- she put through the order times 100 hence giving us a bill of over 1600 haha once i sorted that out the coffees came quickly but where burnt and bitter. the food came in reasonable time but the toast was not cooked and the sauce was cold. we ate, didnt finish the coffee and left. i guess all in all good service but needs an improvement with the food

d'lightful!. very good service, excellent coffee from the young muscely asian boy, nice to have a good view too hahaha. pity he's str8! will be cuming back for more!

worst coffee in mandurah. came here for breakfast last saturday. hubby's brekky good, omelette dry and no taste. please do not ask for "hot" coffee as this burns it and makes it bitter which is exactly what we had. terrible and undrinkable.

used to be a favourite for breakfast but service has gone downhill. possibly new owners(???) if so maybe they need to speak to the old owners who ran a great little cafe. let's hope you find your feet soon. i miss my eggs benedict!

had a wonderful breakfast great value. the service was fast and warm and attentive quite possibly the best breakfast in mandurah.
