poor service. ordered meals. inconsistent meals not served with correct condiments. when asked for the tartare and aioli did not receive it asniceas the exact same dish. waiter gave a sachet like you would fir takeaway. ordered 6 meals waited too long. first meal received and completely eaten and still 3 meals not even received. poor table management. steak sandwich was terrible, seafood platter average, salt n pepper squid little dry as overcooked. kids meal served last!!!!

i had the twin stack of pancakes with maple syrup and fruit. they were ok but nothing to rave about. a family member had the burger which they said wasnicebut to me the patty looked store bought. we asked what was in the thai beef salad but were put off when it was only lettuce, cucumber, beef, tomato and not a lot else. the "pizza sub" for the kids was ordinary also. it was half a hot dog roll with chunks of pineapple and some slices of ham on it.

coffe & cake special. ordered a coffee & cake special $6.90 from the lady behind the counter who needed a lesson on how to smile & great a customer.

the coffee was good,nicecremated, strong & not too hot just how i like it. good job. the cake (mud cake) looked good, i can see why it was a special. yes it was a packet cake. not good guys, wow rather pay more for a real cake.

as an oldie i'm new to this game of restaurant reviews and after finding urbanspoon for the first time decided to look up somewherenicefor our visit to mandurah. the previous comments for d'lights cafe piqued my curiosity, especially chick 12 who seems to be vehemently defending "new owners" whilst denigrating "old owners". strange i thought because someone created a business that was saleable & reputable if other comments are to be believed.
so, i'm sad to say my experience here was not pleasant. for such a pretty spot to eat i really expected something new & exciting in the way of food & service and was completely let down on both scores. we had a sandwich of stale bread and a burger with chips, burger bun also stale & hard. we tried to let our feelings be known to the person who served us, but got the response "i'll let the kitchen know". hopefully that helped the next customer but did nothing for my wife & i who walked away feeling hungry after paying top dollar for a below par meal that was i edible. i'll also add that it was sunday but not a long weekend. altogether a very disappointing experience. perhaps chick12 should take a hint from genuinely unhappy customers instead of making excuses.

fed up. for 10 years have enjoyed d'lights café for lunches and regularly had an iced chocolate, the best in mandurah. it seems there is a new owner and the last two times i have been there has been very disappointing. recently wanted a croissant with a filling and they had run out of croissants. today the sunday of the australia day long weekend they had run out of chocolate syrup. it is a shame to see such aniceplace be spoiled by poor management so i will never go again.

disgusting front staff management the worst ive ever seen, staff yelling and swearing constantly in the kitchen the veiw isnicebut not the cafe! management can only take good feedback if not you will get sworn at and kicked out of the shop even if your just a polite pensioner !! food doesnt taste or look like chef quality more deli food and cold coffee wouldnt normally post a reveiw or badmouth resturants but this is disgraceful ! heads up people!

really bad breakfast & terrible coffee!. at first sight i booked the cafe as there were a lot of people dining. i also noticed they serve rubra coffee, which is advertised on their window & a big plus in my books. i booked a table for breakfast with friends, hoping to find anicelittle breakfast hub....unfortunately not

the lack of barista training really reflects in the coffee, it is terrible, the wrong milk texture for a latte, more like the foam from a bath, the coffee under-extracted & the taste is bitter & burnt. unfortunately they don't do rubra coffee any justice! i ordered simple as the menu doesn't have anything fanciful for a vegetarian, so scrambled eggs & a side of mushrooms it was. i thought how can this go wrong, well it can, no flavour, no garnish, metallic tasting mushrooms & soggy toast to top it off . there were 7 people on the table & we all ordered differently, however agreed on the experience & never to return.

i really hope the owner reads these reviews as the location is sonicefor a cafe, but the cafe itself needs a lot of work!

d'lightful!. very good service, excellent coffee from the young muscely asian boy,niceto have a good view too hahaha. pity he's str8! will be cuming back for more!
