bad mocha. got a soy mocha, was made way too strong, it was almost black. asked for it to be remade and more milk/less strong, still was terrible.

had the best ever prawn & mango salad there previously, went back yesterday with anticipation only to be totally disappointed.. gone was the home made dressing, generous serving of prawns, interesting salad.. it was a quick throw together dish with instant dressing i have at home but with a $28 price tag. noted prices had risen & meals have now been replaced by quick processed ingredients. sad as it's such a magic spot & others are experiencing the same disappointment.

good breakfast. good place to go for breakfast when the sun is shining. the big breakfast was huge and the omelettes could be shared between two, i'm a big eater and couldn't finish mine. coffee was ok.

never again!!!. i had a meal on 8th march,i ordered a t bone steak medium rare, what i got was an overcooked steak that tasted like it had been reheated the meat had shrunk to half the thickness of the bone it was so tough it was inedible the so called dianne sauce was vile! i don,t know what it was but it completely ruined everything it came in contact with so much so that i was violently i'll when i came home,i contacted the manager the next day with my concerns about the quality of the food i was told that she would call me back i am still waiting!!!!
lift your game or get out!!!!!!!

as an oldie i'm new to this game of restaurant reviews and after finding urbanspoon for the first time decided to look up somewhere nice for our visit to mandurah. the previous comments for d'lights cafe piqued my curiosity, especially chick 12 who seems to be vehemently defending "new owners" whilst denigrating "old owners". strange i thought because someone created a business that was saleable & reputable if other comments are to be believed.
so, i'm sad to say my experience here was not pleasant. for such a pretty spot to eat i really expected something new & exciting in the way of food & service and was completely let down on both scores. we had a sandwich of stale bread and a burger with chips, burger bun also stale & hard. we tried to let our feelings be known to the person who served us, but got the response "i'll let the kitchen know". hopefully that helped the next customer but did nothing for my wife & i who walked away feeling hungry after paying top dollar for a below par meal that was i edible. i'll also add that it was sunday but not a long weekend. altogether a very disappointing experience. perhaps chick12 should take a hint from genuinely unhappy customers instead of making excuses.

massive breakfast!. the big breakfast was huge! massive slices of toast, they're generous with the bacon and your baked beans comes on a separate plate with a coffee! definitely worth the money that you pay for it and very satisfying meal. hard to find a big breakfast that is actually as big as they say it is.

this is a response to the review of 'fed up'. first of all dlights hasn't been open for 10 years. secondly it was australia day weekend of course there's a chance of them running out of stock. and thirdly it's not the 'new managements' fault. blame the bakery for not making enough corrisonts and blame mandurah packing for not delivering on australia day weekend.

managment is alot better now, then with the old owners who were rude and very unaccomdating. food is alot better, much more variety such as the nachos which now dont taste like cardboard. the new owners are very friendly and will help you with whatever you need. not like the old owners.

fed up. for 10 years have enjoyed d'lights café for lunches and regularly had an iced chocolate, the best in mandurah. it seems there is a new owner and the last two times i have been there has been very disappointing. recently wanted a croissant with a filling and they had run out of croissants. today the sunday of the australia day long weekend they had run out of chocolate syrup. it is a shame to see such a nice place be spoiled by poor management so i will never go again.

recommended to go here by a friend. poor service, understaffed & totally disorganized. good coffee, average food. give it a miss & try somewhere a bit more professional

perfect breaky retreat. i find d'lights one of the most homely and lovely cafes mandurah has to offer. i am a frequent visitor of this café and am never disappointed. all day breakfast, huge lunch and breakfast portions which are bang for your buck! excellent coffee! my favourite is the prawn and mango salad!

there has been new owners for a few months now and the café is still perfect! they have done a fantastic job. changes have been made and are all in all great changes that should have been made a long time ago e.g. the great new kids menu.

the staff at d'lights are very helpful and caring towards any issues or changes you want to the food. the two guys (one is the manager the other is blonde) give a lovely happy smile to me and others every time and makes personal jokes and connections that make you feel like a special regular. the sunday staff are always helpful and cheery no matter if there's a rush and a line outside the door.

this café is amazing! great work everyone!

used to be my favourite place to go but not any more. staff are rude & uncaring, yelling at each other, & worst of all the food isn't as good as it used to be. new owners i know so heads up people, you're ruining a perfect place
