dim sum house

delicious authentic dim sum! a wide variety of tastes and textures. we ordered about 10 differentdishesbetween the seven of us. all of thedisheswere fresh from the kitchen and well-cooked. the service was friendly and the ambience was quiet but not somber. if you're looking for authentic chinese vice the americanized version, this place is probably it.

not worth visiting. the restaurant was empty at prime time on saturday night. they sat us in the farthest corner of the restaurant. all thedishescame out different times. the mongolian beef barely had any beef. not much flavor at all.

best dim sum in entire triangle area -- competitive with nyc / la quality. this place is definitely the best dim sum restaurant in a 100 mile radius around raleigh, durham, chapel hill. there are plenty of seats, the food is always being pushed around in the carts with hot and fresh items always available. the price is extremely reasonable...with total spent per person (after being totally stuffed) to about $13. you can even order otherdisheson the regular menu...and order takeout for each of their dim sumdisheswith clear pictures of every single dish!

best dimsum (and chinese) in raleigh area. just got back from eating an amazing dinner at dim sum house!

i am a chinese-american who grew up in california eating authentic chinese food.

we moved to the raleigh area 5 years ago and have since then only found 2 authentic chinese restaurants: 1.) 35 restaurant in cary and 2.) grand asia market food deli area in cary/ raleigh.

all that changed today upon our exquisite meal at dim sum house, which has instantly vaulted to the #1 spot in our selective charts.

we had a mix of dim sum and entrees, and everything was good. the menu is broad and includes some more exotic cuisine as well (ie - beef tendons/ ofals, etc.). we ordered severaldishesthat clearly take significant preparation to make (ie - braised beef, congee, etc.)

while not fancy/ posh, the decor/ location was clean and welcoming.

service was also very friendly (to us and our kids).

overall, our best chinese food experience in nc
