try their salt and pepper pork chops, a simple but amazingly delicious treat. take some thin-cut pork chops, fried in a crunchy coating and served with sauteed minced garlic, yum! and their pan-fried seafood noodles is a pile of crunchy noodles covered in a white, savory sauce, shrimp and calamari...

dum dum house!. a coworker and myself ate lunch at this poor excuse for a restaurant today at lunch and neither of us will ever go back to this place again. where shall i begin.

first, the place was not very crowed we sat down was asked what we would like to drink and shoved 1 menu to our table. my coworker asked for a straw which she received twenty minutes later. during this time we had time to look over every aspect of the menu as we watched the 1 waitress run around to the tables of the patrons who were there before after about half an hour she would take our order. during this time we happen to notice the spelling soy sauce on the menu is spelled soy source .

finally after our long wait the waitress takes our order, my co-worker orders a chicken dish and i ordered as the waitress quickly rushed off to get our order in. ten minutes pass and she brings out our soup and salad roll, which were part of our meal. this was the best part of the experience mind you. half way through consuming this the waitress comes back out and looks at my coworker and says "so sorry, we are out of chicken." i was just amazed an hour into us ordering and this waitress came out and told my coworker something she had ordered she couldn't have, what a joke of a restaurant.

if you want poor service, but good water visit the dum dum house and learn how not to spell sauce.

the real deal. growing up in nyc chinatown, i know what real hong kong style dim sum is... dim sum house definitely fits my criteria. the cheung fun (rice noodle rolls) were silky, the right texture and the right amount of filling. the dumplings were of excellent quality. the char siu bao were light & fluffy. phoenix claws (chicken feet) were cooked & seasoned just right. the only disappointment was they didn't serve noodles or rice like a lot of the establishments i'm used to...it was dim sum only. not really a problem since the dim sum is so good. can't wait to go back.

great little gem! staff was wonderful and the food was well-prepared! you get a lot of bang for your buck if you want a few things! cheaper than your average take away, better quality than a buffet! can't wait to go back.

delicious authentic dim sum! a wide variety of tastes and textures. we ordered about 10 different dishes between the seven of us. all of the dishes were fresh from the kitchen and well-cooked. the service was friendly and the ambience was quiet but not somber. if you're looking for authentic chinese vice the americanized version, this place is probably it.

anyhow, so veg head and i went to dim sum house the other night where you have a choice of ordering an entree off of the menu or checking what dim sum (small plates, kind of like little appetizers) you would like on a paper list, much like at some sushi restaurants. i couldn't decide (as is frequently the case) so i chose to do an entree and a dim sum.  veg. head decided likewise.

not worth visiting. the restaurant was empty at prime time on saturday night. they sat us in the farthest corner of the restaurant. all the dishes came out different times. the mongolian beef barely had any beef. not much flavor at all.

not an expert on dim sum. but my husband and i dig this place. we've only ever been on saturday, but everyone we've interacted with from the staff has been super nice, and i would gladly eat pork buns until i explode. i'm not sure what average pricing is for dim sum, but my husband and i usually make it out of there, full and content, for about twenty dollars before tipping, though your mileage and appetite may vary, of course. catch an early movie on a saturday down the road, get your dim sum on, go home, and nap. perfect day.

best dim sum in town. cleaner than other dim sum restaurant. reasonable prices, not a bargain though. good food so it is well worth the fair price. super crowded on sunday due to nearby asian & chinese churches.

dim sum house, in morrisville, has an underwhelming location in a stripmall near the airport, but while it’s typically north carolina on the outside, the inside is definitely chinese. waitresses bring carts of plates and steam baskets so diners can choose whatever appeals to them. there’s also an extensive picture menu that we barely even noticed because so many tasty things were passing by.  staff was pretty great about introducing the dishes, too, which is not always the case at

dim sum is good, not great. i have eaten dim sum all over the us, and have traveled to japan twice and really enjoy authentic cuisine from other cultures. i was really surprised when i heard we had a dim sum house so close. i had been going to cary (only 10 min drive more) to neo-asia which has a much more authentic dim sum on sat. and sun. the dim sum house is more like fast food dim sum and the food preparation/selection is not as health concious as at neo-asia. the flavors are blander. even the red pepper sauce is greaser and no flavor. dim sum house has no fish at all on the menu!!! that alone lets you know its not authentic!! if you are hungry, it will be pricey to get full at dim sum.

updated: change of management. updated march 9, 2014 - this place has changed management and is no longer worth visiting. the size of the shrimp is smaller, we were served a cold dish and still charged for it even after mentioning it, and the pork buns are completely different and not good at all now. even the sauces have changed for the worse. too bad.

original review from april 2012:
i have very specific tastes when it comes to dim sum, and this place hits the mark. we're here once a month at max, yet they remember us every time we come in. never been disappointed with the food here. don't let the slow weeknights fool you. they still deliver the goods even if you're the only person there. come on saturday for a classic and hectic experience!

it's well worth the hour drive from greensboro to get the best dim sum short of hong kong.
