i had the bacon weaved meatloaf which was very good. nice decor also, coolplacefor a bite before a movie or evening out. they also have a cocktail menu.

i had been wanting to go here for so long, and i finally did and it was a huge let down. thisplaceis so over hyped. the ambiance is way better then the food. i got a club which there isn't many ways to screw it up and i could not even pick it up with my hands because the entire sandwich fell apart! on top of that the waiter didnt even bring us water until 10 minutes after receiving our food. and we didnt receive a drink menu.
very disappointed.

definitely one of the highlights of my trips was thisplaceas i was craving lobster, and it’s one of the only places i’ve found in montreal that actually do serve lobster.


i ordered the blta (bacon lobster tomato avocado), which is to die for their fries are amazing too!!

their pain perdu is okay but not the best i’ve had way better.

i've been to deville twice and i've always felt like i was welcomed there. the décor is absolutely stunning, reminds you of a real diner, like the ones you see in movies and tv shows with an extraordinary pink theme. 

their seating area isn't huge so make sure you call to reserve before showing up announced. the clientèle is mostly high-class people, but i've shown up once after school wearing a hoodie and leggings and they'll still welcome you. the only thing that's a bit disappointing is how loud it gets especially during the evening because the tables are very close to each other. 

their drinking menu is also very versatile, they have a lot of cool options and diverse ones, also mixes that you've never tried before! the drink is very rich in alcohol and the taste is just phenomenal.

i've had the chance to try their philly cheesesteak rolls as an appetizer and let me tell you, they are delicious, definitely worth it. very cheesy and rich in meat.

their salads aren't like any salad; they're huge! my friend and i split a general tao salad and the cambalache salad. they are both very filling, huge portions and delicious, very generous in meat.

the staff is friendly, very knowledgeable and also very patient. the food is prepared pretty quickly.

i would recommend thisplaceif you're celebrating your birthday, if you're going out on a date or even with a friend!

had the adam's beef ribs and the pop malt shake.

ribs were very tasty, the meat came clean off the bone with very little effort. didn't quite taste the root beer flavour in the bbq sauce, but it was very good sauce regardless.

the jalapeno cornbread was interesting, dusted with icing sugar to give it a bit of sweetness. the jalapeno was very noticeable in the bread but didn't have any spicy heat to it, just the flavour of the pepper.

the slaw was good in my books. despite all the ingredients being diced into the tiniest of bits it manages to still have a nice crunch to it. very refreshing compared to the very vinigary slaws i've had recently.

shoestring fries have never been my favourite, i prefer thick cut or steak fries.

there service was very fast and attentive considering theplacewas starting to fill up halfway through my meal. they were still quick to check on drinks, and provided more napkins without prompting them.

very niceplace! the food is out of this world. from the appetizers to the desserts, everything's on point. i went there twice and will continue to go there. it's on my top 10 restaurants is montreal.

deville is a greatplaceto go with friends as it has such an upbeat, fun atmosphere. they do comfort food well, i would highly recommend the mac and cheese won tons or the chicken and waffles. when ordering appetizers the portions are actually pretty big so just be careful not too order too many courses, even if there are just so many delicious options to choose from. the menu is extensive and offers options for people with all kinds of varying taste preferences from salads, to burgers to seafood. the staff is always friendly and accommodating, especially given how busy the restaurant gets. i'd definitely recommend deville to people i know especially if they are looking for comfort food and fun dining experience.

bestplaceto eat in downtown montreal. i am very picky and thisplacedelivered on everything for me. so i had to rave about it. the staff was great so sweet accommodating too. they made sure that we had no pork in any of the food we had as well as alcohol free. the poutine was the best i ever had, the lamb popsicles were excellent, the chicken waffle was delicious and let me tell u they have so many yummy dessert options that you would wanna come everyday to try them all. i had the beignets and really wished i had more room to try their monkey bread. oh well just had to let u know where to eat in montreal and be satisfied next time u head to montreal.

thisplaceis one of the most funkiest places i have visited in recent items. i went to thisplacewith my wife and colleagues from work for drinks. we ordered for beer. me and wife ordered for seoul food lettuce tacos and fried onion rings ! the tacos were delicious but the onion rings were ok. the service is also good here.

chips ahoy cookie shake, the d.u.k.e., and chicken & waffles

so this is probably the bestplacewe ate at in montreal. this chips ahoy cookie shake i had ordered for takeout barely lasted seeing the outside of this diner. it even had a chips ahoy cookie in it so that’s a plus, because cookies are the tits. this duke burger though. so big and good, especially being hungover from the night before. it was comprised of grilled flat iron steak, topped with cheddar & monterey jack, thick cut black forest bacon, fried onion strings, bbq mayo and a fried egg on a brioche bun. if you think that doesn’t sound good then you are stupid. the best burgers have a fried egg with yolk spilling out the sides, and this was no exception. the chicken and waffles were pretty decent too, had a nice sweet syrup on it and the waffles were nice and fluffy. chicken was aight, it’s just deep fried chicken.

this diner is also a bar and looked quite nice inside. kind of a new school meets old school feel. it also had a patio so that’s a plus and the service was pretty good as well. kind’ve expensive but aplaceto go if you’re in the neighborhood.

we spent our sunday night out at their terrasse, dining and chatting.  a greatplaceto go out with your friends and eat! the menu is quite diverse, and exceptional. service was a bit slow, and the menu is a bit overpriced,  but the meals were amazing.  very unique and well-composed flavors. fancy décor, and great atmosphere along with the concept. would definitely recommend!

bad experiencei went there with the family for poutine week. i explained to the person taking my reservation on the phone that we'll be there to only taste the poutine and won't be staying long. as we wereplacehopping by the time we got there we were pretty full but still wanted to try their poutine week special. we ordered a couple of poutine's to be shared by the table and when i wanted to order a drink was told by the waiter that based on the alcohol license they have each person must have a main meal in order to order alcohol. this is in fact a lie as according to such license food should be at the table, but there is no rule that each person should have a main meal. in fact i could have had the main meal (1 poutine) and the other one could have been split between the non-drinking family members at the table. i did not argue though with the waiter, if he wants to miss out on sales and tip that's his business. the waiter clearly looked uninterested in out table since we had not ordered much. i have later talked to a neighbor that mentioned that she wanted to go in once with a few friends to have some appetizers and drinks and was told at the door that they could not be seated since each person had to have their own meal (by law) in order to be served drinks. unfortunately for them, she happened to be a lawyer. once she mentioned that little fact they were very happy to let them in, however by then my neighbor and company have decided to take their money somewhere else.as for the poutine itself (no comments on drinks as we couldn't have any) it had good potential to be very tasty. the meat was very nicely made and the sauce and fried cheese balls were tasty. unfortunately there was barely any meat (a few tiny-tiny pieces) and lots and lots of potatoes. for the price of $19 it felt like a rip off... but what do you expect from aplacewith such dishonest service!

thisplacehad a great ambiance. the service is great; nice people, bilingual, and pretty quick. the terrace was beautiful although a bit crowded for my taste. the menu has a nice selection and the entire restaurant is so beautifully designed.

theplaceis cool, it's got great ambience but the food is awful and i would never come back. i went with 4 other people and the only tasty thing out of all of the dishes were the french fries.

food is great. drinks contain a lot of alcohol.placelooks fancy for a diner. depending on what you get it could be overpriced. (switch a side dish could cost you $4 extra. -.5 rating)

you should ask for the specials because they are great. still this is one of my favorite places which i will keep coming back to.
