the sambhar was watered down, and thetastewas not up to par. it seemed they had added water to increase the quantity.

nei masaladosa had no nei in it
sam bar was so insipid...very very less salt and flavoring..
it looks as though it was not made in dakshinayan...but outsourced

the sambhar was watery and tasteless. coconut chutney made out of the chakke (the mass that remains after extracting coconut milk) and mixed with a small quantity of coconut milk and majorly water. notasteabsolutely in the chutney. also the dosas had become cold and dry by the time the delivery guy reached, not to mention the delivery itself was delayed.

i am tamilian and we eat dosa, idli and prepare so many different varieties of chutneys on a daily basis. placed an order only because the kitchen was inaccessible it turned out to be a mistake.

very good place. you can must try with u r family or friends staff is very polite andtasteof sambhar and dosa is outstanding. ambience was ok ok.

the sambar which i had before is nothing compared to this it was so watery when you add water there is notaste give a small portion which is tasty then a larger portion i did not like it one bit

an excellent place for south indian food. any person planning to visit this place provides you a different kind oftasteto the usual dishes that you have tried before. the presentation of the food is very elegant. the ambience of the place is also decent. all dishes are accompanied by sambhar in plentiful along with three different kinds of chutneys. you can safely order anything and you will not be disappointed. the serving size is a lot. my all time favourites are butter idli, molgapudi idli, ghee dosa, gun powder idli, uttapam , spicy pepper dosa with filter coffee.
pro tip : dakshinayan makes for a great sunday breakfast outing

this restaurant cannot be called a south indian restaurant. at best they are a gujarati south i dian style restaurant. if you like authenticity, keep this place at arms length. extremely expensive and no taste. the sambaar tasted like gujarati daal. the chutney was flavourless and the vadatastefree too. don’t touch this place with a barge pole if you are an aficionado and are keen on good south indian food.

we went today (sunday) at around 10 am - place is extremely crowded and waiting was about 45 minutes. even after 45 minutes we had to followup few times to get shared sitting space where one couple was sitting in front of us. foodtasteis good but portion sizes are small making it expensive. place was extremely noisy as it was packed with large families. so if you are looking for fine dining experience, avoid this place in peak hours and weekend. food is similar intasteto what you would get in any darshinis (quick service restaurants where you stand most of the times and eat) in south india which are very cheap but have good quality tasty idli, dosa etc. however lack of options and prime juhu location is making this place charge premium,
