if you are looking for one of the most horrible food in mumbai you have come here. being a south indian myself i was stunned at what they called puliyodarai. it was tasting like tomato baath with the food smelling....
the staff were uncooperative, they do not serve food. they will just courier the food from the kitchen to the dining table.
wonder how could such a worst hotel even think of surviving.
for me it was just a waste of money and i feel cheated at their south indian named dishes. they are not at all south indian by any stretch of my imagination.
the rasam was horrible. dont even want to qualify. the bisi bela baath was a notch higher in terms of being horrible..
overall a very very very very very poor place. i will never recommend anyone to go there for food. instead go to your nearest khau galli and you will get extremely good food in thatplacerather than this restaurant.

bestplaceto have south indian food. the staff is also good. food quality is also nice. i had paper masala dosa which was great. it is enough for two or three persons.👍

an excellentplacefor south indian food. any person planning to visit thisplaceprovides you a different kind of taste to the usual dishes that you have tried before. the presentation of the food is very elegant. the ambience of theplaceis also decent. all dishes are accompanied by sambhar in plentiful along with three different kinds of chutneys. you can safely order anything and you will not be disappointed. the serving size is a lot. my all time favourites are butter idli, molgapudi idli, ghee dosa, gun powder idli, uttapam , spicy pepper dosa with filter coffee.
pro tip : dakshinayan makes for a great sunday breakfast outing

over the years, have been to thisplace100 of times. it is our family favorite & havnt disappointed a single time. everything on the menu is excellent. will keep coming back.

this is aplaceto be for a good south indian cuisine. be prepared to wait on weekends and holidays. they have well trained staff, hence service is good.

though it's inside the lane , parking facility is added advantage.

one should not miss the bissibelle and not to miss the filter coffee.

no doubts or second thought about the quality of food they offer!! one of the best south indian joints in the suburbs.. the quality, pricing eveything is perfect!!

but this one star less is for the service that they offer.. we went on a monday for lunch and still theplacewas crowded.. by the time we were about to finish our meal it was 3.00 pm and there were many vacant tables.. still the staff kept staring at our table and were waiting for us to get out of the restaurant.. you cannot expect people to have the last bite from their plate and get up instantly!! staring at tables even though there are other vacant tables is the most unprofessional behavior a hotel staff can stoop down to..

this restaurant cannot be called a south indian restaurant. at best they are a gujarati south i dian style restaurant. if you like authenticity, keep thisplaceat arms length. extremely expensive and no taste. the sambaar tasted like gujarati daal. the chutney was flavourless and the vada taste free too. don’t touch thisplacewith a barge pole if you are an aficionado and are keen on good south indian food.

we went today (sunday) at around 10 am -placeis extremely crowded and waiting was about 45 minutes. even after 45 minutes we had to followup few times to get shared sitting space where one couple was sitting in front of us. food taste is good but portion sizes are small making it expensive.placewas extremely noisy as it was packed with large families. so if you are looking for fine dining experience, avoid thisplacein peak hours and weekend. food is similar in taste to what you would get in any darshinis (quick service restaurants where you stand most of the times and eat) in south india which are very cheap but have good quality tasty idli, dosa etc. however lack of options and prime juhu location is making thisplacecharge premium,

however, you can expect a lot of waiting on peak days so be prepared to wait for an hour!

all the food was not hot, like previously ordered many times. surprising since today is not a weekend. expected better from aplacewe order regularly

amazing cozyplacenear iscon juhu, we have visited thisplaceon lazy sunday morning at 8:15 am, restaurant was full and we got to wait for 20 min to get our table but later on within next 30 min we have realised that it was worth waiting for 20 min. we have ordered 1 nie idli, 1 molgapodi idli, ulundu vadai, mysore sada dosa and filter coffee, sambar which they served was just magical one, no words to explain, my elder son enjoyed nie idli which was served full of desi ghee flooded on it, ulundu vada too was amazing, molgapodi idli was unique one-must try, mysore sada dosa was amazingly crispy and tasty,service was super quick which we were actually not expecting during the crowded sunday morning, by and large our plan of sunday breakfast along with juhu beach masti has become extremely joyful, @dakshinayan restaurant we will surely visit you again to explore few more dishes from your authentic south indian list.

lovely south indian place. location is fantastic with a hugeplace. the vadas are soft and rasam is perfect. you wont be able to put the spoon down. the disas are crisp fresh and less oily . tomato chutney os only here amd believe u me its a unique and must rrpaet for item. podi idli was lots in 1uantity. and not too miss the ginger ale. its homemade and just too refreshing.

extremely salty in taste, they just spoiled my lunch, it was not worth of rs 30 and they looted 200 for salt, only aalu and salt in masala, i will neverplacean order
