best south indian place to visit in town. you must try paniyaram here. ghee roast dosa was also super awesome. they also serve some best raba dosas. in short their south indian cuisine is rediculously awesome.

i ordered the ragi masala dosa. i was not much happy with the dosa since the masala was same as any other masala dosa!
if its a special menu dosa then i expected them to have a special masala for it too!

we visited this place and found very authentic south indian environment. service is really excellent and most authentic and delicious food we had here at dakshinayan, satellite. food quality is superb and very authentic south indian taste. we ordered paper dosai which was too long and very crispy and masala dosa was really good in taste. will recommend this place for authentic south indian taste.

one of the best places for authentic south indian food in ahmedabad... you can try different chutneys with the food.... the ambience is ok... the food is really very tasty and delicious, the service is also nice... my regular place for south indian when i was staying at ahmedabad even when i visit ahmedabad today this is the only place i enjoy south indian food.

have not been to their restaurant though but ordered one! it was timely,cleanly packed and their was an ordering ease. though the rava dosa that reached me was not warm enough but it was lukewarm so giving them a benefit of doubt! otherwise the dosa was tasty and so were the side dishes like sambhar and nariyal chutney as orange chutney i didn't like! overall 4stars

one of the most elite places to satisfy your southern taste buds in the vicinity.
it has a good bunch of cooks who cook with all love. but ambience needs little upliftment like u could play music in background relaxing your mind. but overall visit it once with your family and friends to get a delightful experience of south and ya it will reduce the weight of your pocket also a bit...#enzoyurfood

for south indian food, must try... quality & variety of food is very very good with nice taste... you need 1 hour for waiting time but for quality food, wait time is acceptable.. must visit for south india food especially jain food...

dakshinayan is one of the best restaurants in ahmedabad serving authentic south indian food. sada rava dosa is my favorite dish there. if you are a fan of south indian cuisine you would love their food! it is a little costlier as compared to other south indian restaurants so visiting it once in a while makes sense.

dosa tastes good, but sambhar here is the best. in hostel life 'આજે ખાવા ક્યાં જઈશું?' is the biggest problem we face and
dakshinayan is the place for which i can even convince my 'not so foodie friends' to go.

one of the best best south indian food in town. starting with small dine-in joint. they now have 2 big outlets in town. they have broken the monopoly of sankalp.

extremely oily dosa.
it feels like you're literally drinking oil. kindly avoid if you dislike oily food. sankalp is a better choice if you're a fitness enthusiast. their food is tasty & doesn't contain this much oil

i think this restaurant deserves a good rating as the service is fast and the staff is good too. the cuisines taste really authentic and it matches south indian style. i had always heard a lot about this place and recently while visiting on a weekend could be able to see a long queue waiting outside. 600-700 for 2 is what you'll have to pay. only thing i regret was that it's not on zomato gold, lol.

1. i don't need any chutneys.
2. i require more quantity of sambhar. ( the sambhar quality when i eat at your restaurant and the one which was delivered today, was different). it was thicker in consistency at the restaurant where as more of liquid today. i like the thicker one.

we went to the satellite outlet in ahmedabad. it is tucked away  on the back side of the building with approach from the side lane.  the ambiance is just average with rather awkward tables. we ordered rasam, ginger ale, adai, rawa masala dosa & rice idly followed by filter coffee. food tasted good with genuine south indian taste.  but pieces of raw onion sprinkled on the inside of onion rawa dosa ruined the taste of an otherwise tasty dosa.  adai tasted yummy & so was rasam. sambar was not overly spicy or sour and tasted good; chutneys just average. filter coffee was excellent. 
service is fast & the bearer is quickly at your table the moment you finish, to serve the next dish.. not bad though, if you are hard pressed for time!! overall, a nice place for good south indian food but not a place where you can enjoy food in a leisurely manner. the mantra: order, eat up the tasty fare & leave. (wanted to rate 3.5 but couldn't do so)

the only place i like to have south indian food...is this place ...awesome...have visited here number of times..and each time had a wonderful experience....
