i was recommended to try out this “insta-worthy” cafe in waterloo, and i live out west of sydney so it was around an hour to an hour and fifteen mins (give or take) to get to this place.

i visited thisplaceto have brunch here with my friend last week. we were greeted by one of the staff members and she seated us at the very back in the corner on the window seats. i settled because the cafe looked so packed, but after 5-10 minutes, the crowd started to leave and there was plenty of space, however they never offered to move us from the window seats. i walked up to the counter and ordered my meals, and walked back to my seat. i was seated near the trolley full of cutlery and glassware, etc. one of the staff members were cleaning the glassware near there and the glass slipped out of her hand and shattered right next to my foot. none of them even bothered to move us from that incident either, and as she was cleaning, the dustpan fell on my leg... i feel like the staff was very incompetent.

while i was standing there waiting for the lady to sweep up the mess, one of the dishes came out (soft shell crab) and the staff member just left it on the table next to us without a word. the next dish (eggs benedict) came out 15 minutes later, and the ricotta pancakes took almost 30 minutes to come out. i wanted all the dishes to come out together to take photos but this took far too long and my food was cold.

soft shell crab croissant was beautiful, but i felt like it needed something to break up the saltiness - i kept reaching for my water to hydrate my mouth. the eggs benedict was gorgeous, it reminded me of pho because of the hoisin sauce and sriracha. as for the ricotta pancakes, it wasn’t airy and fluffy at all. the whipped cream wasn’t even sweetened, so it tasted very plain and unpleasant in the mouth. the ricotta in the pancakes weren’t pronounced either, it just felt like i was eating store bought pancakes. the red velvet latte was such a disappoint too! it tasted like milk... it lacked so much flavour, it literally tasted like warm milk with red food dye.

the only thing i can comment on is the aesthetics of the dishes. other than that, i don’t think it was worth a freaking one hour drive.

came here for a saturday brunch and theplacewas packed. theplacehas a very nice decor with a small flower corner.

ordered the matcha and black sesame swiss roll and we loved it. the texture of the cake was very soft and fluffy, and the cream was really nice. the cakes also taste very good as it was not too sweet.

i ordered the corn fritter and it was very filling. love the combination of the fritter with the avocado and tomato, which gives a fresh taste to it. the corn fritter was also very yummy because it also had peas in it which added a nice green color and taste.

overall, love the food and atmosphere. will definitely be back!

saw fellow foodies instagram about this place, actually i came here for their totoro cake but it sold out already, so i just bought the small version of this (swiss roll). fyi, if you want have dine in you should write your name first on waiting list or they will count in as take away. after you got table, you could order on cashier. it's funny when you didnt have idea about it and they not tell you on the first place, and you happened in long queue until you got the cashier and they said "sorry you just can take away cause you dont have table" 😔
but overall it's niceplacewith garden theme.

i really like the ricotta pancake 🥞 !! , the tempura soft shell crab was delicious , the red velvet latte was a bit too sweet for me but it was good.
thisplaceis very cute, suitable for taking a picture. and the staff were nice and friendly🤩

edit: i went back and tried the beef rice noodle and it’s definitely my fav out of the 3! absolutely loved this spin on the dish. very innovative and fusion! thisplaceis so cute! everything looks great. very innovative flavours combined. i had the soft shell crab croissant which was a great blend of flavours. hubby had the pulled pork portobello mushroom eggs benedict. pulled pork was on point but the egg wasn’t to his liking. great brunch place!

i had high expectations of thisplacedue to the good ratings but i can tell the service and food quality has dropped. waitress failed to greet us and was on robot mode just trying to get people in and out and it feels like a fast foodplacerather than a cafe . açai bowl was nice, good amount for value and isn’t overly sweet, black squid pasta was average but better than the crab omelette fried rice . there was hardly any crab meat in there and the fried rice has a weird aftertaste , and rice was over cooked and i wouldn’t say it’s worth it for what it is. the cake looks good though might swing by for strictly takeaway for the cakes :)

thisplaceis extremely aesthetic and pretty. the coffee is absolutely delicious, creamy and cheap. only $3.70 for a cup of coffee that is perfect - what a bargain. the totoro desserts are super cute and make great afternoon treats.

cuppa flower is a cuteplaceto go for a brunch.
they have breakfast running from opening to evening and cute desserts. i recommend the cute totoro matcha cake.
i also tried the lotus tea, however the tea isn't strong, but it is very subtle.

my friend took me to thisplaceso i had a really high expectation but i was a little bit disappointed. thisplaceis really crowded on the weekends and the seats were quite small. i like the rice noodles, especially the sauce. the eggs in the omurice was kinda over cooked. the matcha cake was disappointed. i couldn’t really taste any matcha favour.

can't recommend thisplacemore highly. we were seated quickly, despite a line. they served the food within 10 mins of our order and the staff were really friendly and kind. thank you!!

thisplaceis a floral oasis with amazing latte art. i had the pancakes, which were delicious! it’s a super cuteplacefor taking instagram pictures as well as a lovely brunch.

food was amazing! the vibe of thisplaceis lit! thank you for the kind service :) staff were friendly and polite, we travelled a bit more to have this amazing food.

with such lovely backdrops, thisplacedefinitely makes to the list of the beautiful cafes! amazing how people make their places so enchanting!
as far as ambience is concerned it kis surreal, while for the food thisplaceis just so good. chivalry flows in the air. 
we ordered red velvet latte and rainbow cake with acai bowl , i was taken aback. thisplaceis too good to be true!

everything was very beautiful to look at! croissant was the highlight, filling and tasty. ordered the black latte, had a rich taste to it. would come back for this again.

boyfriend had the brioche bread with poached egg. definitely up to standard in terms of brunch food but nothing spectacular. his green tea frappe was decent, but it lacked the same richness in flavour as the black latte.

overall, very cuteplaceto eat. cakes looked amazing too and i’ll be back to try those.

one of the cutest brunch places i’ve been to, everything here is tasty, i’ve tried almost every dish on their menu and even the basic brunch dishes are nice !! i love how quickly the food comes out despite their busy hours and how cheap the food actually is compared to other places. defs would come more often if only i lived in the area.

their hotcake was really soft and not too sweet, it’s a cute concept how they have a honeycomb brush for you to pour the honey over the hotcake, but i’d advise you guys to don’t waste your time and pour it manually by the cup they provide. the fruits compliment the sweetness of the hotcake so their ratio is perfect for breakfast and doesn’t get sickening at all!! i was still able to finish the hotcake after finishing my main meal!!! their flower teas are so refreshing and tasty, it’s naturally sweet in flavour so you don’t need additional honey or sugar !

i love the crispness of the salmon skin and how flaky and tender the salmon fillet has been cooked i would come back here over and over again thisplaceis a must try !!! everything is so flavourful and different to typical brunch places !!!
(oh but it’s a 4 star for me cos their chiffon cakes was pretty overrated and basic other than that, 5 star for me !!)
